This dude hit every single piece of this kit within the first five minutes. How do you even memorize that? He's sick. Sad I don't get to see him with Obscura, but I'll be checkin out his new group. Sick drummer.
For me this is an interesting example of how the gospel chops influenced the metal drumming. Great Perforformance!!

I cant get over how well the drums fit in with everything else that is going on. It's not the most technical stuff to play, but to write I think its insane to pull of. Everything is just perfect in every way with the rest of the instruments. Compositionally some of the best out there.
Aside from his amazing playing and what he brought to Obscura, his kit could not be more perfectly set up

the 'accelerando' technique that this guy uses (and also Hannes Grossmann) is insane. Does anyone know what I mean? he does it at around the 1:00 mark. For those of you who know it's a musical term, I don't know what else to call it for those unfamiliar with the term.

I keep hearing about Grossmann in Obscura, but for me (even if they’re good) his drumming contribution on Cosmogenesis and Omnivium don’t come close to what Lanser did on this album. Simply masterful.

That 20in Pure Alloy crash was hit three times in the whole recording but IMO it’s the best sounding crash on that kit 😢
The position of the 22" ride. Very far back. There's room to let the 2nd hi-hat overlap it and still have plenty room to use it.
