Just recently Singapore Airlines flight 321, a Boeing 777-300 ER, suffered from severe turbulence on its approach to Singapore. The plane diverted to Bangkok after the incident. 104 people were injured and a 73-year old british man was killed. It was the first fatal accident of Singapore Airlines since the crash of flight 006 in 2000 and it was the first FATAL accident of the Boeing 777-300 ER.
The aircraft was registered as 9V-SWM and it was delivered brand new to the airline in 2008. At the time of the incident, the aircraft was wearing the Star Alliance livery.
