omg ur parody of ScreenRant was spot on...in fact it was TIGHT and barely an inconvenience.
Be cautious about tutorials because they can get way out of hand very quickly - you'll have a whole rigging tutorial and wonder where those 3 months went! (Speaking of out of hand, there's a lot of effort in these update videos haha.) On the upside, tutorials are good for views when the title is something the average artist is googling "how to X" for.
3 seconds in i'm already laughing, you progress reports are amazings
Thank you! Glad this format works! :D
I think you should do intermediate and advanced tutorials. There are PLENTY Animate/Flash animation tutorials going around yet not many going deep into cut-out /puppet animation. Less even with a production pipeline process in mind.
Thanks for sharing this updates, love 'em!
teach me puppetry animation, my lord and savior janana
I'm exposed O_O
Glad to see this is finally up. I'm sure making this report was super easy, barely an inconvience eh?
Secretary Dubbhie is a real secretary now.
Explaining the complexity of animation production to the average youtube viewer is an art that Jan has mastered
Woo! Complex tutorials! And more Dumpling! 🐧
It's really refreshing seeing you upload something. It still comes out of nowhere but its all about getting used to it :D
Sigh... I’ll call the lawyer.
Absolutely superb and fantastic.
Wow...so much work 😮
How about a twist on the puppet thing. You'd start the tutorial with a fully functional puppet and then deconstruct it and explain how you got there, while explaining in detail what the program functions you used do as well. Kind of a 2 in 1 deal where you explain both animate and puppets. Could be multiple parts too.
An intro to the interface seems like a very good place to start.
Sadly I haven't picked up any reference (will watch again), but i love these styles of videos and would definetely 100% love to have tutorials on how to animate starting from the very very basis... so i could maybe set myself to try some of the basic stuff!
(Tanto Amore, Gian.
ah ok hehe, grazie :3
No idea how you juggle all these time consuming projects. Keep it up Jan!
These progress reports are way more entertaining then they should be. Jan, I can’t wait for the next stream!
Amazing work can't wait for more!
God damn that opening made me laugh way to much "well isnt it lazy, and cheap to mention how we did a progress report, I dont know" that was amazing
that bit at the end XD
Awesome!! :3
Neat!
I love the monthly progress reports
I died when I saw the plz put color mug omg
I love everything about the project. It was unforgettable seeing the project at GalaCon. Tutorials would be great also.
So much effort for these videos. Im surprised you have time for these when you're focusing on your many other projects. jeepers.
liking these vids Jan!
Nice work! :D
Complex tutorials woot woot yes please
Seeing you consistently draw good hands makes me so jealous and upset-
I'm totally okay with a pre-tutorial tutorial :D
I would definitely want to see a tutorial on the interface it would be really helpful
Wow another video!? This Year might get better and better!!
Also another question, can people make smooth animation without out using puppet animation?
Fox boi !!!
Wha- huh? I thought this was a progress report, not an animation lesson! (But in all respects good luck on Vulpwood)
I would love a tutorial!!!
New Game Over Video Again But Now With Button Mash
The way he said "I don't know" made me think family guy XD
Is it Stewie and Brian? Maybe Peter?
I has to know
Jan,i have a question about animation. Do need to make a skete or an animatic before doing the animation?
Sorry,i have bad English
Dzulkarnain Maslan before doing any animation you should always have a storyboard set up of basic shots, dialogue, etc. so you don’t animate anything that isn’t necessary.
Hi Jan I joined :( but I was late, but as anyways thanks for caring for my question, iv ben in artist block for about 5 years and I'm slowly coming back due to thoughts of new ideas and a new hobby to add to potentail comics, when i do get back i will take my time kinda building it up to a very complex but simple and engaging story
And you kinda influence me just like others but unlike them you actually responded 😆 that's really cool of you
@@timyu3473 Hey man! Feel free to hit me up on the Discord server! We have a channel dedicated to questions, so they don't get buried by other messages!

Hey jan, i want to say Sorry because i haven't been on your youtube live stream lately cause i was busy with school and homework, i just Don't have to time to see your animation progres.
(I hope you can forgive me?)
In December 2019 Can You Make VulpWood Christmas Special, Lucas First Christmas ?
Whatever reference you're talking about probably soared right over my dumb head, so... idk.
Also, I suppose it *is* a good idea to familiarize oneself with the workspace, first, before actually getting into anything. The problem this presents is that not everyone might use the same program; I'm actually still not sure what program you even *use,* though I assume it's something like Toon Boom, as that's rapidly becoming the popular standard amongst professionals and hobbyists alike, it seems- not without good reason, of course; it's just that the price tag seems a little prohibitive... maybe someday... (I have a feeling that all of that work that Duo Cartoonist put into their Helios plugin project got integrated into the latest version, and that is why we don't see them as much anymore, as well as why they pulled the plug on their own Patreon account...)
I don't get the reference and now I have an unreasonable need to know
same
The reference is from a series on RUclips called Pitch Meeting by Screen Rant
@@coolbluedudette27 Watched it, and i gotta say it was worth it. Thank you guys for letting me know of new things
