We have had the same machine for a year now for our commercial maintenance business and its been our daily whippersnipper in all that time. It hasn't let us down once
I have the kma130r and strimming is definitely my favourite uses of if as you say the cable doesn't get in way and the light machine in you hand is a joy.
Very nice to use the Batery Strimmer You will not exposed by the carbon monoxide, hopefully that product will be available here in the Philippines, we call that machine here in the Philippines Grass Cutter
Yes Sir the health is very important , the gas type of Strimmer we in hell the carbon monoxide it's very hard, That's I thinking every day if there a Batery Strimmer and also strong I have to buy it, Thank you Sir and God Bless!!
I use a fs410 at work everyday for summer and sometimes in the winter they truly are great bits of kit but i still don't know how I feel about electric one's
Hi, great video, I have the FSA 300R with AP300S but the battery at speed 1 has just a duration of 20/22 mins in normal conditions. is it correct? my expectations were around 40/45 mins per battery as declared on the brochure. what do you think?
Здравствуйте. Я из России. Хочу купить FSA 130 R. Скажите пожалуйста, на аккумуляторном триммере есть какие-то воздушные фильтры, которые нужно периодически менять?
Does the head turn clockwise or counterclockwise? Most trimmers run counterclockwise which shoots debris away from you when you’re edging beds turned on end walking backwards. If this is clockwise, seems like it would shoot debris towards you. Would love your thoughts on this.
Looks like a really a nice machine. I like battery gardening tools and I own plenty of them and use them in my business.. however.. they still have a long way to go. This battery machine is not going to run all day long and clear acreage. I've ran my Km 131 weed eater on some jobs big enough where i needed a full gallon of gas that day. I ran about 6 tanks in it over the course of 6 hours. This battery rig would fall far short of that. I keep a battery hand held blower and a battery string trimmer for lawns only.. and i have battery chainsaws for smaller cutting but for any serious work that is not light duty I use gas. Do you do this work for a living? If so how on earth do you get through a day with it? Even two of these backpacks wouldn't cover some of the jobs i do in a single day.
personally i think battery power is great but until then can come up with a big battery that lasts I’ll stick to gas power for now. Not against it just feel like they have to work out the kinks more
I work for a company where they use 1 type of weed eater for edging berms, lawn lines, whacking bushes... I soon find out that they are VERY different surfaces and the same angle and techniques don't work well. They are variants of quick change twine head, 2-strokes, from thin round twine to square twine to thick round twine. I just can't get the edging right, without it either DIGGING into the ground, grinding on concrete or shooting chips into my legs(I do wear shin guard). Any tips? Much appreciated.
I have a red four stroke 35cc Japanese strimmer (not sure RUclips like the mention of brand names lol) I am thinking of buying the fsa 130 , what’s your opinion on how the two machines compare ?
@@TheFullyChargedGardener Looking forward to it! 😁 There is virtually no news or reviews out as yet. Still early days obviously. If you can get hold of one and get a review video out it’ll get loads of hits! 👍🏼
I’m looking for an opinion. I always had 2-stroke stihls. Got talked into a 4-stroke Honda lately. It is slower going than 2-stroke but when doing a big patch of rough ground, it does an amazing job of shredding everything where a 2-stroke just lops and drops it and you have a load of hay on the ground. I put the difference down to torque - the 4-stroke maybe spins slower, pulls the whole weed in and properly shreds it. Has anyone else found this and crucially, where do cordless strimmers stand on this spectrum?
Ian eyres if you can find one get a discontinued or secondhand FS250 buy that. Approx. 40cc, 6.6kgs, 1.7 kw, thats double the honda GX25 i think, and has far less vibrations. it would be at least 50% faster than this battery trimmer. the only reason to buy this battery set up is for quiet operation in domestic yards where grabbing it and hitting the trigger would save time. The back pack battery makes no sense. just buy more small batteries, why would you carry 100 cells on your back if you are only going to use 10% of them. If you dont understand what im talking about ask yourself why they dont make 10litre fuel tank back packs. notice how your wear a giant backpack harness but still have to carry the trimmer? Ill buy almost any tool as just being different has advantages sometimes. This only has quiet, no other benefit not buying it and dont want it. it would just sit in van unloved.
The Lawn Guy 😀 Another RUclips legend watching my videos!! 😀 I usually strim every two - three weeks. It doesn’t grow that fast during summer. I left it quite long for this video, so I could show the machine doing its thang in longer grass. Thank you for watching chap 👍🏻
Another great video, thank you! I’m curious why one would buy a dedicated string trimmer rather than a KOMBI? I currently enjoy my gas PAS system, but will soon be moving to a battery system.
The kombi system is great. But people often choose dedicated machines, if they have large teams - who would be using different machines in different parts of the garden at the same time. Great to hear you will be making the switch over to battery. Thank you for watching
Looks good , I have the fsa 90 r that is pretty good , how are you getting on I am head gardener at a big stately home that does weddings they are all postponed until at least august it’s strange been there on your own for days on end
Sthilboy56 It is very odd having the place so quiet. But It is allowing me to enjoy the gardens, rather than rushing around. 😀 Thank you for watching 👍🏻
Hi, I would go for the non R if you are going to be doing more blade work or strimming large areas. The R model is great as an all rounder as it is a bit more manoeuvrable. Hope this is helpful. And thank you for watching.
I will be making a video on the connector soon. Check with your local dealer - they will update you on availability in your area. Thank you for watching 👍

Would you know if this machine is stronger or similar in power to Stihl FS 120 ?
Do you have to use a back pack ?
Or is their a batter that connects directly to the motor ?
Hi, you have to either use the backpack or an AP battery on a hip belt. The unit itself does not hold a battery itself.
Thank you for watching 😀
Check out the new Stihl KMA-135 if you want the version that has the battery on the actual unit itself.

Is that an area you maintain regularly, have you ever sprayed a growth regulator on after to slow growth down?
