as soon as you started doing the bloody palace taunt, i knew you were doing a Meltdown combo. that combo MAD rocked, too bad the youtuber never uploaded much after that
True, that combo MAD was incredible. I also had half a mind to try and replicate that environmental combo he did in the sewer, the tennis match between Vergil and the doppel, and I tried a few times but it's a huge hassle because the enemy keeps falling to the ground before the heavy rain blades can catch them, and then I have to start all over by pushing the enemy onto that platform and make sure he's at the edge of it and it's just too much of a hassle to try.
@@PECULIAR773 that might’ve been the highlight of the video tbh. Honestly really impressed with the fact that in terms of gameplay and complexity, Dante and Vergil seems to be on equal terms (disregarding the ridiculous damage output of Vergil tho, lol) it’s quite fitting from a thematic perspective
@@Zavouk The reason I started analyzing these combos in thr first place was because a lot of people were saying that Vergil is TOO EZ and how if you main Vergil you're just too scared to use Dante. The Vergil slander was getting annoying so I took it upon myself to do all this. But funnily enough now I see Dante slander everywhere. The truth of the matter is both characters are complex in their own way, but as someone who has also replicated certain Dante combos and as someone who has studied both Dante and Vergil combos, I can say with a high degree of certainty that Dante is significantly more complex. And I'm not just saying that because he has more weapons and moves and styles, the fact that he's more input intensive doesn't matter that much because difficulty isn't tantamount to coolness, but he has certain tech and mechanics that just elevate him above Vergil quite a bit. His summoned swords are actually way more indispensable than Vergil's and can be used in way more creative ways. But that being said, both characters are very complex in their own ways, it's just that Dante has that edge over Vergil.
@@PECULIAR773 oh, I've completely over looked Dante's summoned swords while comparing the two, oops. Might be because I prefer to use Rebellion over DSD when playing as Dante. I think Dante is still on equal terms with Vergil even if he's relegated to using Rebellion, but I do agree that DSD takes it to the next level. Surprisingly enough, Dante's still a capable character even without DSD if you consider SDT which can virtually cancel anything if you have a SSS rank. Haven't seen that much slander for Dante and Vergil btw, maybe it was more prevalent back then?
@@Zavouk Oh yeah DSD is probably the best weapon in the game in terms of how much it elevates a character's combat potential. And about the Dante slander, yeah so before you had elitist Dante mains dogging on Vergil mains, saying they're too scared to main Dante, calling them casuals and all that jazz. But now you got casuals who can barely even play VERGIL dogging on Dante mains for playing Dante, because "why would you ever main Dante when there's Vergil and he's so much more accessible and cooler"
@@ivansleepy4722 I mean compared to the other combos I did YEAH LMAO I'd say it's definitely one of the simpler combos I've done, probably top 5 simplest
Yep. You can find it on Nexus. It's called void mods Torment V. You have 3 files you can download. Spardas (where I did the Torment combo, it's in front of Dante and Vergil's childhood home), Hell (basically the underworld full of blood, it's where I did the hell combo) and Tyrant (this stage).

Bro the Void background looks gorgeous and that was a sick combo, especially with the clone into BP taunt!
Thanks bro! And I agree lol the void background looks amazing, I only downloaded it yesterday
mission 20 in the dmc3 remake looking different than i expected
Oooh. Simple but cool
Yeah it's a pretty easy combo, I just needed an excuse to use the bp taunt in a combo cos I had been meaning to do that for the longest time lol
Brotha, "simple"?
