I usually don’t watch it but this year, as a German living in Ireland, I called 6 time for Israel when the competition started. I silence some songs for having a headache and Swiss was among them. Israel clearly was the best and so emotional ❤🇮🇱 I live here and have not been able to listen to radio here for months since they are pro palistine and this time I could at least vote for Israel and Ireland gave 10 points on a list that I saw, so we have some sanity here as well ❤🇮🇱🙏🫶🏻

To your point of it being political: Switzerlands win had nothing to do with him being non binary. He was one of the best singers, by far the most innovative song combining opera, rap and pop to great effect although the act was mediocre. Which are the judges criteria. So it was very much expected it to be a jury favorite. The jurys did however downgraded Israel for political reasons. The public however voted pro Israel for political reasons. So it does show a disparity between the elites and the people.
Dutch singer was not bullying Israel. In fact before the contest the Dutch singer was being pressured to give an anti-Israel statement which he refused to. So him bullying Israel is fake news. Israel had nothing to do with it. He got disqualified for threatening behavior toward a Swedish camera woman who insisted on filming him despite being asked repeatedly not to.
