These mean mfs are rolling 14 deep in thick snow in the woods, can cover up to 1000 sq miles a day and take down any prey or threat on sight with perfect teamwork. true symbol of freedom, spirit of nature, resourcefulness & adaptability.
Conservationist here! The whole "Alpha" thing only exists in artificial packs created in captivity. In the wild, they act more like human families. The pack is led by the mom and dad, and the rest of the pack is their children. Sometimes those kids move out and start their own family and may occasionally rejoin their old pack. It is really fascinating to me.
Wolf packs don't really have alphas. They do have a dominant breeding pair. The rest of the pack is their offspring and a few other adults scattered in. Wildlife biologists have completely dropped the whole "alpha - beta" idea.
There's nothing mean about a wolf. No idea why curtiszyr says this. They are highly intelligent and survival specialists. It's not like they randomly lash out.
We can learn much from them. Their loyalty, bravery, commitment and sacrifice for their pack is unreal. Look at the way they walk in uniformity without bickering, waiting and looking behind to check in on their pack mates .
I love the way they look back to make sure teammates is coming or not

Can’t help but think that the wolf who looked back and waited for others to catch up is the matriarch🐺❤

No such thing as an alpha. Theyre a family. Parents lead.
The strongest couple are the leaders and they protect the younger members....
