Rambo is no average soldier
Rambo is not an average soldier. He's far better than Johnny Cage and Stryker. And he knows tactics in combat. He could easily defeat other warriors with his courage, fighting experience and tactical mind.

Rambo is also essentially the most recent "normal" human to be thrust into the Mortal Kombat verse since the very start when the games started, he has never dealt with Zombies, Monsters, Robots, Gods, Aliens, just other soldiers who were normal, Even the slasher villains that get added have at least dealt with or have some supernatural elements to them.
Rambo is essentially in the situation of Guts from Berserk. He is a Extraordinary Guy in a Extraordinary World, to everyone around him, he is normal.
He's like Taven but funnier

Rambo: "oh ok, cool"
I feel like they just got Sylvester Stalone to sit infront of a mic as they explain MK character lore and whatever his reaction was they recorded it.

Rambo has the best f****** lines in this game, it literally feels like he's someone who just wandered into the Mortal Kombat universe.
He pretty much is and didnt even want any of it. He just wants peace after fighting soldiers and cartels.
Now he is fighting monsters and gods as well.

Well...no. Spawn had the best lines. Rambo just had the mind of everyone playing the game, which shows he's relatable.

Rambo is the most relatable fighter in my opinion. His reactions are just spot on and realistic.
2:12 Legit the most realistic exchange in the entire MK history. Normal human unfortunately bumps into Shang Tsung and he already knew he was fucked.
