Thank you for your detailed explanation of what this is and why it happens. I've found that mula bandha breathing and jumping on my rebounder have made a huge difference after having my kids.

Your explanation is excellent for us to learn more about why and how stress incontinence can occur. But equally as important is to take away the embarrassment of feeling like your the only one.

Woah! So much information. I am hoping this does not happen to me is there any precaution we can take early on for this? Even if it's genetic? I will be an older mom if we choose to have kids within the next couple years.

I’m currently sick (quarantining) and coughing profusely, which is causing me to urinate unexpectedly. I can’t control it. It’s annoying and embarrassing. I don’t understand why there’s such a huge gush of urine coming out, even after I urinated a few minutes prior to the coughing spells. But…when I think back, after my hysterectomy 3 years ago, my bladder never felt completely empty. Every now and then, if I sneezed or laughed too hard, a little urine would leak. But, now it’s just so problematic, especially with all of this coughing.
