I will never not be impressed how Naya and Heather made their characters from 'background bitches' to hilarious, complex, dynamic main characters who carried the show AND managed to bring several good social critiques while doing it, WHILE also remaining kind and modest people others love to be around. Miss you forever, Naya, you and Heather were the real stars.

Had to catch a lot on Netflix cause I did not have a TV or was working when it was on. That being said I did not fallow any of their carriers till last couple years. Other than hearing Lea, Dianna and Melissa's names come up on talk shows and stuff for what they have been doing I have not really heard much of the others. Yes I know amber was on dancing with the stars. But that's all the buzz I heard of her. Is amber successful? Yes having just looked up her credits. Does she have the same success as Dianna or Melissa with general public? Not really. So to me she is not the most successful.

She also faced more hardship than anyone else. Besides Rachel berry is way more of the self absorbed extra issues you named than Quinn. Rachel hurt people to get what she wanted. Quinn other than Rachel and Finn never intentionally set out to hurt anyone. But then Finn and Rachel deserved everything she did and said to them. Quinn helped Mercedes with her body issues and did not expect or ask for anything in return.
I think this perfectly encapsulates why early glee was so good - it was simple, tongue-in-cheek, original, and relatively grounded. Not overly flashy and over-produced, and not trying to reference something else or follow a trend, instantly iconic just for being itself
