I learned quite a bit, thanks! But here's one thing that kinda awed me once I started thinking about it: The Sunflower seed growth was funny because of what she had been mentioning with the fact that there's only like 12 copies or prints that can be made of something in France before the taxation for the work changes. So, if a single Sunflower seed produces a flower that yields, let's say 200-300 seeds, and that varies because some sunflowers produce multiple flowers while others just grow really tall and produce one big one that holds way more than 300 seeds it just depends on the type, anyway then those seeds go into frames noting the flower and the position the seed was in on the flower that was grown on a new plant but from the original seed and then you have to wonder. Is it the flower that is technically only a second 'print' or 'copy' of the original plant or flower, if you will, or is each seed then deemed a numbered edition of the original seed because that was what was originally framed not the original plant or flower? Or would it all technically be lumped into a conceptual art piece, and the selling off of the individual seeds is really more like taking a piece of the work as a souvenir somehow? I thought it was interesting, but the business side is frustrating, and really how would you even go about dealing with an issue that could have the potential to, excuse the play on words, but bloom and grow into a field of conceptual art of just one original origin, (even if there were still other seeds in the original seed bag it was taken from), and can you imagine the provenance nightmare for each individual seed? 🤔🫣 Not to mention the fact that if the purchasers of the work then plant those seeds and then they have to register themselves as having been a part of the compilation piece, noting what their seed yielded and document that, and then it just goes on and on from there. I think I just made myself sick thinking about that one. 🤢
You work well together
