I highly recommend the story. It's actually really good in my opinion. Maybe it's because I struggle with how other gacha games fill their stuff with so much exposition but SoC's story is easily explained with short dialogues and the scene being acted out. The branching paths also make it super interesting! Spiral Destiny is the main story (super juicy). Fool's Journey is the background info of some characters (NonoWill is so sad...)
Agree 99%. Just finished the first branch of the Union where Gloria doesn't manage to prove Augustes guilt. Absolutely tragic ending, basically everyone died trying to bring peace in the end😅 The only thing I'm not that much of a fan off is subsequent playthroughs always resetting your progress to that point. Sure there are astral paths to improve the starting experience...but for example replaying from the point where you can support Gloria in the Union branch feels super tedious when you redo 90% of the same things for 4 chapters just for a different ending. Replaying the story mode should have some things that carry over from previous playthroughs, just to keep it engaging and not feel like you are redoing the same things over and over.
Bro this is my favorite kind of content for mobile games! They typically don’t get podcast style content like console games and pc games get so I love this. Also I watch all four of you so this is fantastic! Keep it up and I hope there is more in the future👍
Fun fact, Devil procs during Cutscenes. so if your in the middle of a mission and a bunch of characters start dying any character with devil will get those bonuses
Wild seeing all the creators I'm taking notes from on this game in one video 😂 touching on what you said, I think if we see future units too far ahead (like knowing whats coming out because the game is further in other regions), it stops people from playing. In games that do this I usually just do my dailies and prep if a beyond meta unit is like 3-6 months off but we are seeing more and more games catch global up to other regions (dokkan, black clover off the top of my head I believe) so that when they drop a meta unit, the audience doesn't know that in 5 months a new unit powercreeps the previous 4 months of units so no one is really summoning at all until a relatively future proof unit worth investing in comes out. Companies want you summoning on every banner, not just the good ones so I think getting every region on the same track not only makes future units exciting but it also makes the game healthier by encouraging more summons

Skipping the Spiral of Destiny story is tragic. That is one of the better written stories in video games. Sure, there are many games with better stories, but this game's story completes. I ran the Iria story and chose the path I felt was most cold hearted. The story switch at the end blew me away. I never saw it coming.

Its nice for you to do this, Auronnjj was my go to for wotv many years ago when i was still playing, Purplatypus was doing Dragon Quest Tact and Octopath COTC and its nice to see these people covering this game. Ngl, this game really surprised me and its soo good, i love srpgs like fft wayback in the 90s, tactics ogre, jeanne d arc, vanguard bandits, front mission 3 in ps1 and 1&2 remakes. I am actually contemplating on dropping out HSR to just focus on this game and Octopath COTC. I have the meta units in HSR but i have grown tired of the game for weeks now. I hope to see more SOC contents from you guys, thank you!
The Epics have nice gimmicks but that's because Legendaries still do not have many of those abilities but when they start making Legendaries with those good/awesome skills the Epics got, it's when the Epics will fall hard.
@37:40 best advice ever, for those of you who played langrisser mobile, which is and identical game, only small differences like the absence of soldier units and less gear, langrisser mobile was very F2P friendly...even in real time pvp!!! If you were able to make the most out of synergies amongst what the game gives you, you were able to compete at highest level. dont spend on new units for no reason, save for what fits the texture of your team, then pull at the right time...unitl then...and it will be long!!!....invest in your present units gear and stuff

This game is so good, a shame it doesn't have as much attention as it does. Maybe some more sponsors or drip marketing is needed... I hope it continues strong with you all-- after all, the community is made larger by content creators like you all!
just saw/hear this and play the tower , the tower issue saying all you need is cheese all the way, but i just arrive at 8-5, where you fight 1 black wolf. thinking ow, it cannot knockback, gonna try to cheese this with burn and -2 move, afterward that wolf summon just 3 other wolf, my team just got surrounded. only able to deal 30% dmg after many attempt. that floor is bacically stat check, with Maitha using her aoe cover to cover everyone and use dummy to stall the wolf.
The other day I was playing Labyrinth of Refrain and the name randomser generated "Volk" I may have quit this game but I really like cc collabs so I'm interested in this.
I have leonide as my main bruiser, and I saw one video here in youtube, that he has a 3 hit attack, but when I check his skill tree, there's nothing there that says 3hit attack info. Can you help me?
i hope they add item which reset skill tree. so we can try different things without having to worry about ruining the whole account. as long as they give it out like one per month it would be really good.
