    Boomboss and Brann is basically the epitome of what I hate about Hearthstone right now (and have hated about it in the past). they need to stop making cards that have ZERO counters. it's so unfun

      Wish boomboss had 2 bombs instead of 3. Virus module should go up to 5 mana. Reno should go to 10/remove only minions and not dormant or locations/leave 3 spaces, some combo of 1-3 of those. In wild dark glare should go to 5 mana. Shadowstep needs to only discount 1 mana in both wild and standard. Leeroy replaced with loatheb in core.
      Just things I would do.

      @@galo1225 its just how the card is designed. there is no actual counter for the card other than play a completely different type of deck. Brann and Boomboss and poorly designed cards theres no arguing that, you might be the only hearthstone player to consider then fun cards lmao

    This Zilliax is the kind of card expected to have an absurdly high playrate, though - I mean, you can literally customize the card to fit almost any deck, after all.
    While I totally agree that "unkilliax" especially(and arguably a few others) is OP, I think that kind of playrate is just... absolutely expected.
    Its similar to ETC, with a key difference: ETC naturally fits into almost all control and midrange decks. Zilliax is that, only that he isnt nearly as slow and also fits into almost all aggro decks - at worst, they run the 4 mana 5/7 that threatens 10 damage, which is just insanely good for aggro decks.
    So while I suspect a nerf, I dont think the stats precisely call for a nerf. And heck, I think the current flavour of zilliax is oppressively strong. I think the problematic part that he has on top of being a giga-annoy-o-tron is poisonous.
    We already had a number of nerf targeted at cards that make stats not matter. This Zilliax once again makes stats not matter at all.

      Ticking Module is also a stupid concept. Personally, I find it boring, but beyond that, I think it shouldn't have any stats at all, be a 0/0 or 0/1. You're already making whatever other module you picked cheaper, or else you aren't running this module, so I can't understand why it also gives you additional stats on top of being cheaper.

      I think that minion is just too annoying man, I hate needing to hit that stupid thing four times and heal the opponent for 16 health.

      @@alonkob2127 I think the idea was to use it reactively(punish big boards from your opponent). But it is too good when used proactively.

    Tho'grun has to get hit. Even with the nerf that card is beyond problematic. Parchwerk AT LEAST only destroyed minions, Tho'grun's bombs just blow up ANYTHING. None of your resources are safe and it feels terrible to play against.

    Reno, Ziliax, and Yogg, basically the only 3 cards keeping any slow strategies slightly afloat since we have hardly anything else (especially as far as class cards go). They made Blood DK unplayable since it lost its best board clear and its only win con, and that deck was one of our only control strategies pre rotation, and one of the only actually playable Reno decks in the current meta often just wins before turn 9 anyway because it's a Hunter deck. People complaining about those cards have never actually seen a control/value meta before. Crazy stuff to see all the people below Legend complaining like they know anything about card or deck strength. Yeah, I guess it does feel bad when you don't win by turn 9-10 with your tier 1 aggro deck that can drop 30/30 stats by turn 5 on a typical curve, because you piloted it poorly, and your opponent actually gets a single chance to recover. We CAN nerf those tools, as long as we extend the duration of games to a much higher average turn time, and provide all classes with much better general control cards and late game win cons. If we don't nerf the 15~ different aggro decks (actual numbers from stats in the meta), that are all very viable right now, then you cannot nerf the tier 3- control decks with 1 or 2 being actually viable and sitting in low tier 2.
    Nerf Boomboss to the ground please, because it feels awful to play as both fast and slow strategies, and basically makes other control decks lose on the spot unless you dirty rat their Brann or Boom. But having a few cards that allow slow decks to actually survive if they rarely get to turn 8-10 seems pretty damn fair to me. Losing because you pilot aggro decks badly in Diamond 5 does not make the game realistically unbalanced.

      Come on man, you can't say zilliax is a fun card at all. Even in slow matchups you end up in turn loops of zilliax/yogg/reno. It makes the game awful because there's only 2 ways to deal with that card. Elusive should be removed and in compensation they should reduce the mana cost by 1 so it comes quicker to stop those aggro decks.
      And yes, they should nerf boomboss to the ground, absolutely unfun card to play against. I wouldn't mind if they do the same with dirty rat, not because it's op or anything like that, but because there's just a lot of ways to trigger it's battlecry a few times in a game thus turning this into an unfun card too

      so they had to nerf agro too, but still had to ban ziliax, reno e yogg from standard xD. Stupid brainless cards, more than aggro.. i like to play control, but with this decks are impossible, even the wild they break, i play only wild for more than 5 years and stop because reno

      @@horusretro7673 That's totally fine. I agree with your nerf idea 100%. I don't want Zili having its aggro defensiveness lowered, but there are multiple forms of Zili that can help heal up and clear against aggro, so I'm 100% in for a nerf to the elusive and a buff in other areas.

      Zilliax and Reno encourage aggro and combo decks. They punish the opponent for playing for board and letting you interact with them, and they do it so abyssmally hard. a lot of times they completely nullify any progress that was made up till that point in that game: Zilliax, for example, won't only clear your board, it will also fully heal the opponent. That makes them essentially the most uninteractive cards in the game. No wonder everyone is now trying to kill you from in hand or as early as possible, because if they can't do that they have no chance whatsoever of winning. These are the cards that make the board not matter.
      Yes, there are obviously other problems. Just as big if not bigger. But that doesn't give Zilliax and Reno any justification to exist, if anything they only amplify the impact of such issues.

    Hot take: it's not brann who's problematic, it's boomboss dude! Brann value is very good but can be countered, it's the TNT is the problem, what can u do againsts it? Burn a card? Tempo and aggro decks won't have that much cards in the late game so every time they draw tnts, all they could do is watch. I just miss those early days of that deepminer brann that wins with value and value. Now play brann then boomboss then wait. Just very polarizing to play against

      No that is not good enough. Reno warrior has too much great battle cry minions. They get a full insane board with excavate legend, they get great heals from bringing back up to FOUR Zilliax. It's not just the tnt stuff.

      Dr.7 that summons 4 unkilliax and fully heals you back to full is also pretty anti fun. Especially in combination with a Reno board wipe or lock

      Technically, Boomboss can be countered by using Tony.
      Brann though... Nothing you can do about Warrior just summoning boards full of giant minions with Azerite Ox and Dr Boom. You only get 1 Reno to wipe the board. So how do you deal with the next 5 boards Warrior dumps out? (Other than BE Warrior and have 500 board wipes yourself...)
      Brann also exacerbates Boomboss. Losing 3 cards? Hurts, but is managable. Losing 6 cards? That's pretty devastating and normally ends up wiping out your entire board, hand and remaining deck...

    We are long past the point of a few nerfs fixing anything. This game needs long term systemic design changes.
    Tone down ALL of the RNG, all the card draw, and cap all mana discounts at 1. That’s the fix. Nothing else will work.

      A couple more things I would add:
      Nerf most of the hyper efficient control and removal tools.
      Make poof effects significantly rarer, or just straight up remove them.
      Nerf the cards that punish your opponent way too hard for letting them live.
      Possibly: Change the fundamental basics of how the game works, and make all decks Renathal (40 card/40 health) decks.
      Aside from that, I wouldn't make it so all cards can't cost less than 1, only most of them. There are some cases of man cheat that are healthy, at least in a controlled environment.

      They will never tone down the RNG because it's the only way bad players can win games. Bad players winning = more player retention = more money.

      I say it about the whole class. Kind of wish they would delete priest from the game, and maybe warrior too. I haven't enjoyed warrior since quest taunt warrior was a thing.

    If paladin doesnt get hit somewhere, it will just dominate the meta completely. Its already the best deck in the meta, just is VS sydicate being fanboys who doesnt put it at tier 1. ZackO talks it though the latest podcast: its his deck of choice.
    That weapon is stupidly broken.

      Paladin isn't unbeatable of course but it snowballs worse than anything we have ever seen by far. Like most decks cannot even keep up with it unless they can kill it turn 6.

    I think we need to adjust manipulation cards aswell. Dirty rat, Plagues, Bombs and TNT, Yogg mindcontrol, Reska (especially with resurrection), Kurthus, symphony of sins. Why is annoying/manipulating the opponents hand/deck a win condition.
    It is my deck, my hand and my minion. If you steal it or destroy it without me even getting to use it, you pay a new price/mechanic to be determined.
    Go figure it out, but trying to play a game where you don't even get to play your cards isn't worth it.

      The issue with that logic than is the ONLY way to kill a combo deck is to be an aggro deck. Counter play is key so something likely dirty rat is MANDATORY for the heath of the game. So stuff likely gnome faratu, mutanus, dirty rat. NEED to exist. BUT they should make it so strong as its run in everything. see launch theotar.

      Absolute hate your logic as former mtg player. Playing solitaire is the worst thing ever in a TCG. If anyone wants to play a card that deletes both decks and hands and replaces them with random cards but gives their opponent an extra 30 health that sounds fantastic and fun to me.
      Be able to adjust and play what’s presented and not rely on 1 or 2 win conditions, it’s why discovery is so ingrained in the game now.

      @@jameskillbot2867 I am not saying Solitaire is fun as seen in wild with quests. I am saying that these cards should be harsher to play.
      Example: Dirty Rat Battlecry- the same deathrattle- return it (if its alive)
      Reska once per game (and change the excavate reward to adjust for it)
      Plagues after Helya only shuffle to the bottom or aren't endless.
      As said Go figure it out. Not my job to make changes. If enough people complain or just leave then they have to change it.

      @@SirArk4dy only one of these i agree with is the endless plagues being dumb. Should be 5-8 plagues and not endless for sure and I love and play that card.
      Dirty rat is like the only tool for stopping boom boss.. it’s negative is if you summon your opponents titan or zilliax or minion you can’t deal with. I think that is a perfectly balanced drawback personally.
      If anything is wrong with reksa it’s just her cost should only reduce by one for every 2 minions that die, the sire denathrius style nerf.

    Looking at meta lists that lump a large variety of decks into archetypes is totally useless.
    Here's an in my opinion way more reasonable evaluation of Reno:
    You go to hsreplay, choose diamond through master, last 7 days, hide sparse data and set "included cards" to Reno. Then sort by win rate.
    Two hunter decks with a total of ~9000 games and a win rate of about 58%.
    Two warrior decks with ~7500 games and a win rate of 55-56%.
    Then you remove Reno and look at the win rate of the top deck - 62%. If you want to get below 55%, you have to go to page 3 of decks.
    I.e. Reno decks aren't dominating but the best are among the top 50 and competitive.
    And the reason why they aren't higher up is probably just because people have adjusted to the huge popularity of highlander warrior and started playing a ton of warlock.
    That was a few days ago. Meta seems to have shifted again already because people stopped playing warrior as much due to the warlock onslaught.

    The change to Reno should probably be restricting both players to a board slot (and keep a minion for it) to simulate the "Showdown".
    That or simply poof both boards. The annoying part is when the person playing Reno already has SOMETHING on board so they poof yours, swing face for whatever, and you now have to deal whatever they had while having no room to taunt up or play rush or whatever.

    There is no counter-play to stop people from playing Reno. Pain warlock is still insane, and I'm tired of paladin being in tier one seemingly every expansion.

    I faced a Boomboss today who got replayed twice, so that's 18 TNT in my deck.
    So I did my best to keep a full hand at all times. Then they played Dirty Rat.
    I started my next turn with an empty hand, deck and battlefield.
    Even when you think you can play around it: you can't.

      They nerf wild when a deck heads to the moon. There is no deck to the moon as close as 3 of the rogue decks are they are about 3% win rate from being emergency nerfed. The 3-5 rogue decks, warlock deck, shaman deck and paladin deck all have a pretty good fight for top 300 legend and while you can’t play much else, they won’t ban for variety sake they except for that once a year…

      No, rotations don't happen until after the next 2 expansions.
      Usually around April is when the new rotations occur moving the oldest 3 expansions into Wild.

    I hate Thogrun so much, it sucks to be having a fun, back and forth game with a warrior, only for them to play the "you don't get to play anymore" card. If I were reworking it, I would either make it a deathrattle, or make it so that the bombs can blow up other bombs. The latter I think would make for a more fun, high roll experience for both players.

    I really wish Spirit of the Badlands got a rework. Make it a start of the game effect and let the mirage turn in to any card that started in your deck, not just ones that are in your deck currently.

    The most lowkey underrated card in the game right now is Outfit Tailor. Being able to add ITS stats to ANY card is insane. Its so frustrating seeing a Leeroy get added +10 attack and hit for 16 or even way more than that. It can add that 16 attack to a 1 mana charge card and 4 mana kill opponent you have enough mana to do TWO Outfit Tailor and that pirate and do 30 attack on a charge. It should add a set amount +3/+3 or something.

      We need Handbuff Paladin cancer to keep the Control Warrior cancer in line. If they nerf Control Warrior (more cards than just Zilliax), then I'd be ok with them nerfing Handbuff Paladin. Though I'd probably prioritize nerfing other buff cards over the Tailor.

    Why on earth nerf Zilliax overall because of the play rate?! That would be so stunningly short-sighted. It's only Unkilliax that's problematic. THAT version should definitely see a minor tweak.
    The card overall is fine and SHOULD have such a high play rate because it's like a dozen decent (not really OP) cards in one.

    I think aside from "unkilliax", Paladin should be taken down a notch. I mean, I knew that flood paladin was not fine after the last nerfs it got and duh, it's still one of the meta topdogs, who would've guessed. ANd Paladin in general seems a little oppressive atm. Hard to tell which card(s) would be the nerf to take down a peg, cause I certainly wouldnt want paladin removed.
    Painters Virtue is certainly among handbuff paladins best cards. Its quite strong. As someone that has played a lot of handbuff decks over the years, that card is just a so perfect for the strategy.
    Reno is still a very unfun card. It'd be nice if lategame wouldnt need to rely on crutches that ignore the enemy gameplan.
    Id actually like to see Yogg nerfed - I think that card is just... pretty unfun when meta. I mean, its just mind control with highroll potential in neutral. And again, the kind of removal that ignores card text.
    Projectionist is a very smart call out. Itll probably continue to cause problems down the road, too.

      Yogg is definitely too much, its not fun to have it decide the game, if you get Wheel lose your entire deck you may lose immediately there. Stealing an opponents gamebreaking card can win games on its own, feels like crap when they steal your Yogg with their Yogg then use your Yogg to say give them value, or blow up your board.

    Nerfs: Reno(the poof is really...punishing to non aggro decks. 10 mana i don't think solves that issues. Maybe it poofs all by one thing the opponents has? or maybe it poofs everything BUT your best minion so its what what symmetrical. This is just to strong of effect for 9 mana and i think its still really strong at 10 mana.     I think I agree with all of the proposed nerfs. The virus module as a stand-alone card would likely have had fewer stats, been more expensive, or possibly both. Reno is not only a feels-bad card but also crowds out the other decks in the classes that play him. I cannot think of the last time I saw a non-Reno Priest, Warrior, or Shaman deck, and more than half of DKs that I face play him since plagues were only good for screwing Reno over. I think Celestial Projectionist could receive both of you suggested nerfs and still be broken. "Not less than !" should be hard coded into the game so there are no 0-mana cards, but then Rogue would have to play fair for once.

    reno has already been nerfed enough, i know it's still an amazing card but it's ok to be 9 mana, if u are not a monkey u'll save some cards eventually to bait reno, zilliax yes, it's really annoying and i think the best change they could do is like giving 2/4 to the virus module but taking away reborn, which is actually the problem of the module itself, celestial projectionist is ok at 3 mana i guess, or make the copy cost 1 maybe, painter's virtue make it 2/2 would be good, lifesteal isnt annoying but 4 mana 2/3 yes, Brann and boomboss are ok i guess, i wish they would have added a steamcleaner to standard ngl,

    Zilliax... I'd honestly rather Ticking Module get hit again. I've never had a problem with Unkilliax and as the numbers show, people are running Yogg as a direct counter to it. But the 0 mana Stormwind Championiax and brainless aggro decks it goes into are literally everywhere.
    Brann I still feel needs a complete redesign. It's a stupid card and will be limiting all Neutral and Warrior Battlecries until it rotates (Also, it's going to be limiting Druid Battlecries this expansion! Yay for Tourists...)
    Reno is still in a place where it's simply necessary for late game decks to exist. Without it we'd probably ONLY see Aggro.
    Outside of that... I kind of wish they'd just delete Mage. I really don't like the current style of Mage. Like, here I am playing minions trying to trade things with my survivability being Lifesteal Rush minions and then there's Mage... Just sitting there pointing spells at my face all game. Like, very fun and interactive gameplay.
    Just to point out, I'm not against "Oops All Spells!" decks. Earlier iterations of Spell Mage (Before the Deck of Lunacy mistake) and the old Spell DH weren't too bad. Since they still generated minions with their spells. But this modern Spell Mage where it's just spells blowing up the board and going face is so non-interactive.
    In terms of buffs? The only things I can think of are Vampiric Blood, Grave Strength and Frostwyrm's Fury. I want triple rune DK decks to be a thing again. That was always the coolest part of DK on release, having these distinct playstyles from the 3 different triple rune types. This recent trend to make everything Rainbow just homogenizes DK into all being the same deck with the same playstyle. I'm hoping that maybe the expansion might help bring back some triple rune decks but I expect it to just be more Rainbow because the devs have given up on DK...

      We definitely need triple rune decks to be back again next expansion (especially blood). Having such deck warping cards that remove most of your card pool, but don't actually have any pay-offs anymore (example: Alex and Bloodboil both being gone), just feels awful. Blood was already getting week before rotation, and post rotation it was straight up killed. Having only Rainbow as the single DK deck in a class that LITERALLY has multiple different archetypes naturally built into itself is just a disgrace to class design.

      Like, even when they initially stated "Each expansion will focus mostly on 1 rune". All DK has ever received is hybrid rune stuff. Meaning instead of reinforcing the innate 3 different archetypes the class had. All we got was dilution of the card pool up until the recent rotation which completely killed triple rune and would have killed Rainbow had they not also watered down so many cards into being more Rainbow friendly...
      Which is ironic, since they also initially stated that they WOULDN'T support Rainbow at all. They initially wanted DK to only be Triple/Double rune. So it's interesting to see how quickly they gave up on the class (Literally the first expansion after release, we got Climactic Necrotic Explosion lmao... Their initial vision lasted all of a single mini-set...)
      Now all we get is a class with 1 playstyle, that has half of its cards being unplayable outside of discovers because you just play Rainbow with maybe a bit of UUF for more Plague focus (Though that deck stopped being good when they removed it's ability to counter meta decks with the deletion of Wheellock and the inability to counter Reno Warrior)
      All in all... The class is a complete mess right now and really needs the next couple of expansions to bring back its identity (It could also do with having a larger Core set to help facilitate it's deckbuilding design)

      Meaning Warrior, who can use Brann, will be able to use all Druid cards this expansion.
      Druid's Tourist lets them use Mage cards.

    10 mana change for Reno would still do nothing.. I think it needs something much more hard hit like clear both boards or discard a card for each minion removed. Something like that. This mass remover we call Reno.. is just too strong as it is.. not to mention Brann and other Highlander effects mainly with Fizzle...

    Hard disagree on nerfing Reno on the basis of "just because it feels bad." Like Zeddy said, it's only in ONE tier 2 deck. Zilly has been a problem for a long time. Plenty of cards "feel bad," but that doesn't mean they are winning games. Reno is already super slow, assuming you even draw it and make it to late game. Priest titan is cheaper and poofs 2 minions right off rip, but I digress

      It should go to 10 mana. If ever a card was worth 10 mana it's Reno especially now that it can't be countered by shuffling duplicates. Thogrun and Brann are the biggest issue with Reno warrior anyway.

    Reno is a little managable 10 mana would be fair. Brann on the otherhand is just terrible to play against.
    Brann needs a huge change. 10 mana or an effect change.
    If it's 10 mana warrior will most likely need to play his cards to deal with threats on the board after using all of the aoe and other destruction spells instead of holding his good plays until after brann is played.
    Combo with greedy partner might still be a problem though.

    Speaking as someone that's duked it out a lot late game vs warrior, bran isn't the problem, multiple times I've grinded them out and gotten through all their big payoffs, except boomboss, it's just impossible to outlast losing 18 cards. So rather than nerfing bran I'd rather see boomboss turned into a deathrattle, or reduced to 2 bombs, or slap a once per game limitation on it.

    Here's the best Nerf to Zillax. Add more modules. Take Divine shield and Reborn and put them on a new module(s). Lifesteal, Elusive new module. Separate them from taunt.
    Nobody wants to hit a minion at least 4 times to kill it.

    I dispise how the top four decks in the tier list just flood the board with blowout turns. Pain Warlock is the worst, if you leave a single giant up they'll just vomit even more with Projector. Its so unfun to play against, and not even that fun to play with.

    Reno, being how it is, just kills all mid range strategies. Tempo kills you before you get to play it and control works after reno is played. Mid range gets cleared and has no chance of coming back. One card shouldn't get rid of 1/3 of what you can do. Atm tempo is the one best way to go, I prefer control and mid range strategies. Reno enables tempo. Everything else gets you a 50/50 chance of winning. Tempo, you can and often do win before it becomes relevant

    And putting it to 10 mana would break the card for it’s main use: to fight aggression decks. Sure, during control matchups, it won’t matter. But that’s not why I play that card.

      Immagine it just destroys the board instead of deleting it and gives you an hero power thats not indecent to play against in wild.
      Make it: 7 mana destroy the enemy board and get 2 mana 2 damage and cast a random spell as hero power.
      Now you have your control card, also more in theme with Reno, who's knows for the random spell spam, that doesnt delete your opponent on play and doesnt break wild in 6 different ways. If you want to defend from aggro, destroy is more than enough, why tf do you need to delete the minions, at least deathrattle has some counterplay.
      When i play wild 90% of the decks have this mf in them and now it isnt even counterable with shuffling cards.
      It basically doubled the toxicity of all the toxic decks in wild: Shudderwock now is twice as strong, Mage can otk with reno by playing 1 card, Priest goes double Raza and then its pure suffering, you get the point.

      ​@@leeartlee915 I don't think the card is overpowered in the current meta, but it is so oppressive and annoying. I enjoy playing control and midrange decks and I play both standard and wild. Reno just shouldn't be a thing. Back in my day, Reno Jackson was a good card that would full heal your hero and that was tier 1 strong but never felt oppressive or annoying to play against. For it to be a fair card, it should destroy minions or limit both player's boards to 1 space for a turn.

    I honestly think that Reno Lone Wanderer would require a complete overhaul to "fix" it. It doesn't matter whether it is at 8, 9 or 10 Mana. The effect is just so absurdly anti-fun, that it should have never been printed in the first place. Maybe make it a Minion so that you can at least try to Dirty Rat it? To clarify, the problem IS NOT that it's too strong. The problem is that it completely invalidates almost every other Late-Game Win Condition for Control. Want to play a Control-Lock with Sargeras? Nope, Get Reno'd. Want to play Dragon Druid? Nope, get Reno'd. Attrition & Deathrattle Decks? Nope, get Reno'd. This makes the Card pretty much mandatory in every Control Deck, and turns every Control-vs-Control Match into a game of chicken. Whoever plays Reno first, loses - because now they can't remove the opponents win condition. It is objectively poor design.
    You can't counter Reno by shuffling in duplicates, you can't counter it with Dirty Rat, you just can't do anything. Like I said earlier, it's not about being too strong. It's about severely limiting design space. As long as Reno Lone Ranger is in the game, no Board-Based Endgame Win Condition will be worth using anymore.

    I HATE the current standard meta. I hate facing handbuff paladins, highlander warriors, spell mages and insanity warlocks. Everything feels like cancer and I don't like playing any deck, except those that lose against meta decks 95% of the time. Time to take a break

      Guess you got some hate but I seriously switched to grinding guns in Warzone for my free 2 play experience and its all right. I tried getting legend on a few occasions but the game is TOO SLOW. Any time you get two decent decks together it turns into a massive value check grind and whomever gets the most value always wins.
