I tried this on in the grand seiko boutique and it blew away all the other watches I was comparing (white birch, snowflake, chrono …). You have to see it in person to really appreciate how stunning it is. The high intensity titanium also sets it apart. Gorgeous and light weight. Easily my favorite GS to date.
@@davie4396Pay for it in USD and it doesn't feel as bad. Still not sure why Grand Seiko eschews micro adjust, though. That and a perpetual calendar and I'd be willing to pay 15.5 in USD.
The dial and light play is totally stunning, as you moved your hand, it looked as if dial was actually emitting light!! Insanely beautiful and gorgeous
I just bought an Atera Valley! The Grand Seiko Atera Valley looks stunning in pictures, but honestly, they don’t do it justice. When I saw it in the boutique, I couldn’t help but grin like a kid, and I happily handed over my ¥1,400,000 to the sales associate. The dial is absolutely mesmerizing-the way it catches the light and shifts its gradient from the center to the edge is just something you have to see in person. I thought I might have an issue with the lack of lume, but even in a dimly lit space, the mirror-polished hour markers and hands catch any bit of light and make it easy to read. The case fits perfectly on my wrist, and overall, the watch is super comfortable. My only minor gripe is with the lack of an on-the-fly micro-adjustment clasp. I travel a lot, and during long flights, my wrist tends to swell, so I often have to wear the bracelet a bit looser than I'd like. But other than that, it’s an incredible watch, and I can’t help but keep admiring it whenever I'm out and about.
Visited a GS boutique yesterday. Spent about an hour looking at different pieces. I was about to leave and the salesman pulled out the atera, which was on hold for another customer. I was blown away. I walked out with this watch on my wrist.
I have yet to see a photo or video that shows the true beauty of this green dial as it appears in real life (AD). If only I could justify yet another watch purchase, this would be it. Initially I thought it lacked the power reserve indicator, but then realized it was on the exhibiition back. Genius.
That is one of the best dials I have seen. It reflects like a sunburst but in natural patches (puddles of light) like water. I love how dark it gets in some lights. It sucks it not on an 44GS case. I got 6" wrists. But I actually like the Evo 9 case, they just need one at
just saw this on Hodinkee. What a smoke show. I wish GS made rose gold cases and bracelets. This dial would be a banger on rose gold with a gun metal grey ceramic bezel.
Probably my favourite dial, of any watch, ever. It's weird, I'm usually that bothered by dials but that colour and texture is just stunning here. However... that bracelet. I can get over the micro adustment, but the lack of a decent taper kills the proportions of the overall watch. It's just far too bulky and heavy looking. Any chance of some more shots on the grey strap?
Thank you for sharing this. That dial makes it my new grail watch. But...I think you were correct about the clasp/bracelet issues. No micro adjustment for $14K? _Really?_ And this is just for me, but with a dial that beautiful having any date complication is a distraction. I think it would be very much better without it. Something so pure and beautiful should flow naturally without interruption. C'est la vie.
Lovely dial no doubt, but I still can't get used to the Evo9 design. My favorite GS releases this year is the 45GS re-issue. I think it's done perfectly and I couldn't resist to order one 😅
Tow think I don’t like about new generation GS the first one is the case size is too big 40mm is not nice, max 37 or 38 mm case in more wearable ,,😊 and second one is the hour hand is like the tip is broken😅 I don’t know why GS changed it,, the original dolphin hands is so amazing, but anyway some may like it😊
I am sure it is a great watch and all but man, 14K CAD$.. I always come back to look at GS for their unique designs and dials but for that amount of money, you can pretty much get a couple a Omegas, a used Rolex, etc.
Gonna go out on a limb here and say Grand Seiko watches just don’t need on the fly micro adjust. There is only so many niceties they can offer at the price they charge-and I’d rather have everything it comes with than forgo something for on the fly adjustment. Personally.
Nice to see AMZWATCH show a watch that can be afforded by almost anyone rather than these pieces costing thousands and thousands which are out of reach for so many.

@@hemantishwaran5741 thanks for your feedback. Agreed, that this one blows away most other GS models
some fighting words there lol
But for 15.5k aud it’s abit much
This watch is just straight fvck you to rolex

OMG. Grand Seiko is just mesmerizing.
Amazing green dial , beautiful watch.

Agreed. GS knocked this dial out of the park!

Looking forward to their release of the Hidden Valley Ranch dial. That will be yummy….

Stone cold stunner of a dial. Love the titanium case as well. Knocked it out of the park, also appreciated your macro to capture it.
What a beautiful watch 👌
This looks absolutely amazing!!
Great video! Not many talk about just how much shine comes off a Grand Seiko dial. They are just so, so nice.
Absolutely stunning dial! Great movement , water resistance really beautiful, congratulations ❤
@@stephengarratt8027 many thanks 👍
I love that the new battle between watch manufacturers is who can create the best dial.
Love it!

so phenomenal
what a BEAUTIFUL dial.
Stunning dial! Wish the date window also had the same color as the dial.
Grand Seiko, thank you for putting the power reserve dial on the backside. Hate when you fill up the dial with it.
Great review - thanks for posting - yes on the lume!
It’s gorgeous! And would love to see it in person. But that price…although it’s probably worth it, but ugh. C’mon GS!
Love it! Another gem from my absolute favorite watch maker!
Finally a nice dial for spring drive!
Why is every single GS dial more beautiful than the last?
How do they do it?
Bought one today
Just imagine this on a rose gold or yellow gold case 😋
Amazing watch!
Is there any other watch more beautiful than this? Like seriously, i dont see any rolex or pp more beautiful than that
I wish they made this dial limited with gold logo and seconds hand like the slga007. Its a beautiful piece though.
Outstanding video.I have to go with the MAMACOO, especially with that green dial as my favorite
Thank you for the video
Very good review. What is the brand of the rubber strap you installed on this watch?
@@elcoya thanks. The rubber strap is a cut to fit FKM band from Halifax watch Co. You can get a similar one on Ali Express too though
MAMACOO!Every time you exhibit one of these watches I become super tempted to get one.
So beautiful!

Alpine Eagle also doesn‘t have micro adjustment or RO

This is it. Will have to sell a kidney.
Daaaaamn,this is so hottt!!
Perfect.
Soooo beautifullll but that boy is chonkers. Hopefully soon they’ll start thinning out the watches and upgrading the bracelet
Really that’s all they need to start throwing good punches at the Swiss
The dial is just jaw dropping! Easily one of the top 10 dials GS has ever made !
date window is white!!!!! At this level!
I just got one of this inside refuse chute accidentally..
Goddamnit i was happy with my quartz gs but this is nicer :/
Beautiful but super expensive
36mm plz
Wished they would start putting the date window at 6. It would be more balanced to the eyes. It looks so lost at 3 like it does not belong there.
@@zerox615 6 o'clock date windows are usually smaller, especially when comparing to this watch.
damn this is decent

Love grand seiko just hate the branding cuz it has word seiko in it which makes me think of cheap macy watches

I'm genuinely impressed with how close AMZWATCH were able to replicate every aspect of this very very goofy looking classic watch.
Great watch but it is too expensive !!!
Lose the date, and it would be a solid "maybe".

They still haven't sorted out the bracelet? Fix the bracelet. Now.
amazing dial, terrible bracelet - GS will never learn
Agreed. $14K and NO micro adjustment???? In this case, they should just sell the watch without any bracelet and let us figure it out. ;-)
Those male end links are ugly / cheap looking. Like a Longines Spirit.
$14,000 !!! Krikey, no thank you. I was thinkin 6 maybe. Total rip off
Still the same shitty bracelet. Next!
