One of the tricks I always like to do for ETs and contracts is to hold the coin and the bomb, then put the bomb in a briefcase and throw it at a chandelier. If you can time it right it's a great way to get easy accident kills, though it only works on some chandeliers - the ones in Paris and Sapieza work really well, but I tried it on Hokkaido and my game crashed.
"A neat depth of field effect for making thumbnails" man, I've always joked that this out-of-bounds effect was a console player's secret photo mode effect. But this is actually useful if you can trigger it for areas not at edge of map... Also, wow. Huge item discovery by randomly throwing it at a bridge. You are amazingly lucky.

wow this is amazing, I never would have thought these hidden features would be useful. Now I need a real IOI interactive Coin disguised Microphone, so in a way, it does become a thing where 47 can listen in to conversations and count as the player is present in proximity based interactions (they'd theoretically remove the no prompt exit mechanic, but I like the other mechanics too)

Sad that this was patched, it would have been funny to place a breaching charge in a bush at darthmoor and then launch the coin into the triggerbox on the bridge
Just found this video and what an amazing discovery! I tested it out and found that npcs can carry the coin over the exit for you, instantly teleporting you out. Could lead to an interesting combination with the remote audio distraction.
An amazing find! Even thought the first Hitman in the World of Assassination trilogy launched years ago, players still to this day continue to look for new strategies. You simply couldn't wish for a more creative and exciting playerbase. Sadly, I do think when IO finds out about the exploit, they might patch it.
speaking of weird audio triggers, in Dartmoor, if you make the target go to the graveyard and then you shoot the graveyard's generator, you will hear the conversation as if you were right there even if youre sniping from the mansion.
Wow, big potential from that little coin as it turns out! Thanks for the info. It's unfortunate they will probably patch the usefulness out of it and turn it back to basically a proximity mine.
damn this seems really fun i’m so sad they patched it. well i love your content btw and after seeing some of the comments talking about i absolutely agree you have a lovely voice.
This is outstanding! And it can change HITMAN 3 Speedrunning to another level, have you tried using a breaching charge? Since it is possible to lauch the coin without using a sniper
I found a way to utilize this in contracts. Took some playing around, but this could make for an interesting extra mechanic to play with. If you put the RFID coin into a briefcase at the exit and a breeching charge just in front of it, you can detonate the charge and launch the coin with briefcase. That triggers the exit. If you don't put the coin in a briefcase, it doesn't work.
Oh sweet, I was looking for a way to use explosives for remote exits with the coin. Normally they'd blow the coin out of the map entirely, but I never considered using a briefcase to increase the load.
@@CassidyCope The placement is a bit finnicky, but once you figure out the sweet spot it's pretty consistent. In contracts this method only works in Dartmoor, because the Mumbai and Berlin no prompt exits don't exist in contracts. Still a sweet discovery. I would have never known about this were it not for your video. Already made a contract with it too.
Would absolutely love to see it in Roulette Rivals; it feels like it's basically made for it with the potential for dialogue skips, remote exits, and remote kills.
@@CassidyCope yeah 100%. instantly thought of how it could potentially cut like a good minute off of some berlin spins if you throw the coin on the exit from radio tower start, or how you could trigger nolan’s phone call while you go get some trickier disguises and the janus kill or something. i’ll definitely look into some uses for this! not sure if you’re in f7sc, but if i find anything i’ll post it somewhere in there
One idea: could you use a different detonated explosion to send the coin into the exit, triggering the end of the mission in Dartmoor? So that once both objectives are complete, the player only has to detonate this explosive next to the coin to end the mission?
I'm confident it would work, the only problem is that the coin is so light all the explosives I've used blew it out of the map entirely. It could absolutely be done by someone with more skill than myself though.
I could be wrong but I imagine the proximity thing is because the presence of the coin forces the areas to be rendered by the game even when the player is not near (this is assuming hitman trilogy uses some sort of culling to save resources). I wonder if it also works with any remote explosive
While the Hitman trilogy definitely doesn't graphically render the entire level in full detail, NPC routines always happen the same way, no matter where you are (except proximity triggered events). NPC AIs are never deloaded like they might be in other games due to Hitman's specific need for consistency.
Awesome find and great video. Excited to see what folks get up to with this. Some feedback, your voice is fine but the background music is a litte too loud and it makes it hard to hear you clearly. Otherwise very solid video!
3:36 I dropped the coin for a guard to pick up, and threw a micro explosive on the bridge. Upon completing the mission I detonated the Micro explosive. Then you just have to wait for the guard with the coin to check the bridge. I know with all the comments this might've been mentioned already, but just in case it hasn't yet... Great find BTW.
@@sandwichboy1268 I'd say yes since you can bring an SMG to open the Butler's Rm to get the lethal poison.
