I just found this vid in 2024 trying to put new fairings on my 2013 Kawasaki. Your zip tie tip for connecting the front has saved me!! I put my bike together and there’s a horrible gap in the front. I’m glad to find an easy fix that doesn’t require me completely tearing off my sides again.
My fairings are fantastic. When it comes to aftermarket fairings it's more about how they are installed. You HAVE to install them exactly as I installed mine in this video with the tips I give you. If you don't you will probably have problems with any of them. Also, make sure to get ABS injection molded plastic like my fairings in this video, that is the best you can get when it comes to aftermarket fairings.
this was a beast of a video to put together, literately hours of footage condensed into 20 minutes. I knew I would leave out something. lol Anyways, this video should take out the mystery on how to install aftermarket fairings. As far as I know my video is the only video on the tube this detailed on installing aftermarket fairings.
The zip tie method is better, believe me. I talked with a master technician at a bike shop and he has installed many different aftermarket kits. The reason some people have trouble with aftermarket fairings is b/c they try to force and stretch it and end up breaking tabs and have misaligned holes. My method takes all the stress out of it and the fairings are on rock solid. My red bull fairings, which were done by the master tech I talked to, were put on the same way and I had zero issues.
If I had oem fairings I would have had them custom painted but my bike came with aftermarket fairings so this is the best option for me. These fairings look great and I've already had experience with aftermarket fairings so I know they will last, my red bull fairings still look new and I've had the bike for almost a year.
Gotta give you a BIG thanks on the zip-tie tip, when I first seen you do it i was like "WTF would you intentionally break the tabs to get a better fit" but after i broke a tab accidentally on my aftermarket set I gave it a try and I must say the fit is damn near perfect! Really appreciate the helpful tips CC!!
I learned this trick from a honda tech. Also, not in the video, I changed those stupid push screws/rivits underneath the front fairing to screw clips so I can now just use regular screws for easier removal.
thanks! Just a video to help people learn how to put on aftermarket fairings kits. It was needed as there are no videos out there this detailed on how to put an aftermarket fairing kit on.
I don't know, their stored in a box in the attic for now. I may sell them..I'll let you know in a video if I decide to sell them. Thanks for dropping an inquiry.
Hey. Great vid. I dropped my cbr600rr and damaged the whole of the left side. I watched your video and it helped me a lot when I replaced the fairings, mirrors and led blinkers. Thanks from London. UK.
Hi I bought a "08" cbr 600rr and the guy had some homemade fairings or something. So I have no bolts or grommets or screw clips or anything. I know they sell bolt kits. But do u think its possible for me to still install this?
thanks! Their prices are in live with the competition from what I can see. the ones that show free shipping just include it in the price. EZMOTO does a great job wrapping the pieces and boxing it up.
Thanks for the video. I just finished installing Auctmart fairings on my brand new 2015 CBR600RR. I couldn't find any videos for the later CBR600RR. Even though the 2013-2016 fairings differ from yours, they are similar enough that this video really helped. The newer front fairing is a bit trickier to remove than yours. There are a couple of hidden screws that are hard to find and even harder to remove. The fit and finish of the Auctmart fairings is better than I expected. I did have to open up a few holes and file a few tabs. I bought the fastener kit from Auctmart as well as a fastener kit from eBay hoping to be able to set aside my OEM fasteners. Unfortunately, neither kit had any fasteners even similar to OEM so I had to use all of my original OEM fasteners.
I have a 2005 CBR 600RR. Ordered the $170 fairing set. I guess for my model its more of a nightmare fiddling with everything getting it just right. For me if took a while longer but patience is def needed. Thank you for the video, gives me a good break down overall.
I love the look... and was planning on painting mine the same white/black scheme. Now no need just buy this set of fairings! Thanks for the informative video!
Thanks, yeah you have to break off the clips on the end or it will make the end sit up on the hook. My red bull fairings were done the same way. The reason people diss aftermarket fairings is b/c they try to stretch it at the end and end up breaking the other important tabs and misaligning the bolt holes. There is a science behind this, like I said these are tips straight from a master tech at a bike dealership.
thanks! they are integrated into the tail light, came with the bike, looks clean but not as safe as reg signals. I do arm signals to make sure cagers know I'm turning.
Best video so far. Still had a issue with the middle farings and had to make a bracket off the tank cover and secure the mid faring to the tank cover with a bolt because the tabs were strong enough to hold. There’s a slight gap between those two parts now but looks ok. Cheap faring issues I guess
Had this same problem. I decided to buy rubber grommets to insert into the holes (and prevent damage to the fairings) as well as some nice stainless steel zip ties to make the stich look nicer. I put 3 cinch points along where the tank tabs are, 2 along the inner black plastic next to the forks to keep it flush with the middle fairing, and 1 under the nose fairing - so 6 total per side. I'll fly through zip ties, but installation every time will be significantly easier (no more trying to stretch the fairing to reach) and I don't have to worry about tabs popping out.
Thanks so much for your video CycleCruza. Especially your tip to do with using zap straps. I ended up using 6 on the front fairing and spoiler. It helped so much
I don't care about how you put it on there really.. But that thing looks much niceeeer now. I really genuinely enjoy it. Hope you're happy with it. Great look.
Bro, I swear that bike is beast, right next to its definition in the dictionary. Got pretty close to looking like my '09 Phoenix but obviously cleaner without the engine cover...
Thanks man 👍 got mine stripped all down and just watched this before I went out to start the install. I got flat black fairings from neverland off e bay. Hope they fit ok !! Lol peace love my 600 double rrrrrrrrr
Don't know but I don't really need one on my bike. The clip-ons are raised a bit more on this bike compared to other ss bikes so you don't have to pinch the tank with your legs. If i rode track often I would get them but necessary for the streets with this bike.
For anyone that ever wants to install the fairing kits, one thing that will make your life easier is to either let the plastics sit out in the sun or keep them inside until you are ready to put them on because they are going to be less bendable than factory plastics. Love how they look, I did a body kit on my old bike and it turned out great, but the plastic is far harder to bend than factory ABS plastic
adrenalineboyzryan $500 vs $3500 oem, I'll take less bendable ABS plastic thanks. lol I get compliments from people in cars almost every time I ride. It's ridiculous that they charge so much for so oem plastic, it's robbery.
CycleCruza Yeah I agree! I bought a kit for my last bike and I loved how they looked. Got nothing buy compliments on it. Factory plastics are insanely priced.
I feel like I’m watching an education motorcycle video, narrated by Mitch Hedberg. Haha love your stuff man, just ordered a set for my 06 cbr 600rr so hopefully it turns out looking as good as yours
sorry to hear. check out EZMoto fairings, the link is in the info section of the video. New fairings about $500-$600. The other stuff you might be able to score off ebay for cheap.
Yeah I figured it will help a lot of people, I think aftermarket fairings will be more respected if people took the time and put them on right. It sure in heck beats paying $3500 for a new set of oem fairings. lol Yeah it was really boring and took much more time b/c I always had to make sure the camera got the right shot. I dislike doing DIY videos but I know it helps a lot of people so it's worthwhile just to help people.
I don't like how there is the gap there under the head lights where you had to make the modification, I wonder if the seller fixed this issue yet? Also why would you wax the fairings with them off the bike? Wouldn't it be easier?
***** Believe me you can't see it unless you get under the front. It's a not a big deal but if you want perfection get a set on oem fairings for $3500. lol Everybody that sees my bike in person says it looks sick. Don't worry about the tiny gap.
This video is gunna help many people in the future! Very nice! I hope that you will be rewarded because you took the time to make this video and I bet it was boring as hell
Yessssss buddddy !! That was a beauty CBR 600 DOUBLEEEEEEE RRRRRR. Love the white. Bought my 09' with 10k on it this summer past. Its my 2nd bike. Thinking about ordering a set of white fairings soon. That was a sharp looking bike you had. Great vids. Even got the girlfriend yelling out SUBSCRIBBBBEEEE TODAY!!! when she hears me watching a CC video. haha
thanks! yeah the phoenix is nice, I always liked that color scheme. You can take that engine cover off if you want to and get the mids for the 07/08, looks better, imo.
I went through the same thing myself and it wasn't fun. I have a much greater appreciation for the videos you put together after this weekend job. Do you have a video to install aftermarket flush indicators? i'm more curious about the wiring. The ones i bought comes with 2 wires, but the stock has 3 wires. Keep up the great videos.
hey thanks for watching, I appreciate it. yeah the red bull fairings looked good but I'm not into giving free advertising, if they paid me I would have kept them on. lol However, I always wanted a white and black bike, I love this color now. I may add some flavor to it. HID/Halo/demon eyes might be in the works next. I may add some tasteful decals, so far I like it clean though.
lol Thanks bro! I've always liked white bikes, seems like most riders do too. I like the visibility of a white bike, especially at night, never really wanted a black bike....
thanks! haha I always admired kawsaki designs, I wish honda would get back to the drawing board with designing their bikes. My bike does kind of resemble a kawi now, especially with the aftermarket mirrors I have on now. lol
dam man I really liked those black red bull fairing you had man they looked good but its your bike do what you want im still gana keep watching your vids either way!! keep fillin up my subscription vids box man cant get enough!
can you make a fairing stay replacement instructional video please? i cant seem to find it anywhere and I've been stuck trying to firgure it out for a week now :(
Better than that I showed the installation of them...also covered it in my other chinese fairings review video I did a while back. Look at my "Reviews" playlist on my youtube home page.
Me 2, I got sick of seeing red bull. lol I don't know if they have them for your bike, check out their ebay store to see. The link is in the video description.

cool. thanks for the video... was not sure what the "tank" cover was or how it went on. seems pretty easy to install a brand new color scheme for a bike.
the black pieces compliment the white, the bike is not all white. lol It's really white/black trim. I've always loved white/black bikes. Now I finally got one!
im so sad that you change your fairings! i really liked your redbull fairings. Dont get me wrong your bike is still really beautiful i cant wait untill i get enough money to buy and 08 cbr600rr myself. i really like your videos thanks!
Nice to know that in your country, you can just easily change colors or design-colors on your SSB. Meron din si cycle cruza na video na hinuli sya kase yung farings nya puti. Sige toll ingat dyan sa pinas wag kang mag pagago sa kurakot na tao
Hey, CycleCruza this is probably a long shot but worth a try. when you were removing the front tire fender at 10:05 you zoomed in on the bolt on the right side for the brake line, I was windering if you knew what kind of bolt the exactly is because I have misplaced mine. And then on the other side you showed the bracket and removing of the bolt at 10:22 again im wondering if you have any idea where I can get that bracket and bolt for the brake line.

I cant do it. I cant drill into my fairings. I can't desecrate such a beautiful thing with zip ties when its fresh out the box lol.
thanks! Just a video to help people learn how to put on aftermarket fairings kits. It was needed as there are no videos out there this detailed on how to put an aftermarket fairing kit on.
Great job, and always a good idea to get all the bolts in place and leave them loose and tighten them up after you line up all the thread holes.
UK.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO!!!! I installed an aftermarket ebay fairing kit on my '10 CBR 600rr Using your intructions!!

Possible in the works..but I love the clean zen look of the bike right now. No distractions...
this video seems to be very well thought out! thanks for putting the effort into making a good vid
Yeah fairly easy, the part that seems to take the most time is transferring the cowl nut settings and attaching the black pieces.
thanks, I agree. Much more visible as well. I was never really a fan of black bikes b/c of the poor visibility at night.
Thanks, yeah you have to break off the clips on the end or it will make the end sit up on the hook. My red bull fairings were done the same way. The reason people diss aftermarket fairings is b/c they try to stretch it at the end and end up breaking the other important tabs and misaligning the bolt holes. There is a science behind this, like I said these are tips straight from a master tech at a bike dealership.
thanks for your suggestion but I'm keeping just the black and white theme.
thanks! they are integrated into the tail light, came with the bike, looks clean but not as safe as reg signals. I do arm signals to make sure cagers know I'm turning.

Mark Eldridge did it fit nice?
I didn't, it's an aftermarket tail light with integrated turn signals, it came with the bike when I bought it.
Don't know but I don't really need one on my bike. The clip-ons are raised a bit more on this bike compared to other ss bikes so you don't have to pinch the tank with your legs. If i rode track often I would get them but necessary for the streets with this bike.
Just HID Halo demon eye fitted in the headlight. Hopefully I will have a DIY video on how to install those coming soon.
sure thanks for watching

Thanks! I have no idea as I have no experience with the previous generation cbr600rr.
good tip, but I didn't have any trouble, no scratches and torn rubber. Some were easier than others.
Mannnn your a life saver! I’m gonna replace my fairing like a pro💯💯💯
I feel like I’m watching an education motorcycle video, narrated by Mitch Hedberg. Haha love your stuff man, just ordered a set for my 06 cbr 600rr so hopefully it turns out looking as good as yours
I love the new look, so much better (and sexier) than stock. Real eye candy :)
sorry to hear. check out EZMoto fairings, the link is in the info section of the video. New fairings about $500-$600. The other stuff you might be able to score off ebay for cheap.
Very helpful video man. Very well put together with all information and video footage needed. Ride safe and god bless.

wow the bike looks even better now! gorgeous

@@CycleCruza as much as a brave new bike
Thanks for posting CycleCruza, your video will most definitely help me remove all of my fairings.
This video is gunna help many people in the future! Very nice! I hope that you will be rewarded because you took the time to make this video and I bet it was boring as hell

Thanks.
Thanks!

Awesome looking bike bro, white bikes seem to be more visible to others for sure. I got a white CBR500R for the exact same reason.
Thanks bro! This vid was a beast to do but I hope it helps riders interested in getting aftermarket fairings.
Awesome brother. I really think CBR is the best looking sports bike out there and I love either that white you got or the all high gloss black.
Definitely got a point in removing the engine cover to make it look so much better. It's a project I'm looking forward to.. Loose panties here I come!
lol Thanks bro! I've always liked white bikes, seems like most riders do too. I like the visibility of a white bike, especially at night, never really wanted a black bike....
I was thinking at first that it was going to look better pre change. Man was I wrong. That bike looks amazing now.
thanks! haha I always admired kawsaki designs, I wish honda would get back to the drawing board with designing their bikes. My bike does kind of resemble a kawi now, especially with the aftermarket mirrors I have on now. lol
Check their ebay store, I included the link in the info section.
your welcome! Thanks for watching!
thanks, yeah leaving the honda decal off, looks cleaner to me that way. Just my preference though.
Just get a tinted windscreen, they're fairly cheap off of ebay and it's easy to install.
You should paint some red lines in the fairings to match the wheels. Just a suggestion, it looks amazing as it is.
Having problems with the front fender brackets. Won’t come out... any help?
Kenny O drill the rivets out with a 1/8 drill bit and re revit them in the new fairing
Thank you!!!
dam man I really liked those black red bull fairing you had man they looked good but its your bike do what you want im still gana keep watching your vids either way!! keep fillin up my subscription vids box man cant get enough!
can you make a fairing stay replacement instructional video please? i cant seem to find it anywhere and I've been stuck trying to firgure it out for a week now :(
i agree...also no more free advertisement
Better than that I showed the installation of them...also covered it in my other chinese fairings review video I did a while back. Look at my "Reviews" playlist on my youtube home page.
Me 2, I got sick of seeing red bull. lol I don't know if they have them for your bike, check out their ebay store to see. The link is in the video description.
It's nice that you actually did a whole step by step. Tjamk you!
Holy F@!$ dude your install was a hell of a lot easier than mine was on my 03.
good visibility too thanks
thanks yeah looks better in person
Thanks! Good luck getting your future bike!
I can tell you this.. I have zero experience when it comes to mechanic and stuff like that... I got some new fairings too for my suzuki gsxr 750 k1 from Ebay, and the fitment is 100% and the installing is very easy too.. So dont go to the mechanic shop and letting them do the job and paying them stupid money.
PEACE, LOVE AND RIDING
I really like your channel =)
I agree, try to stay away from the shop if you can, will save a lot of money. Thanks for watching!
As stated in this video, EZMOTO, but you have to install it as I did in this video or no dice. ...
sorry I get so many emails some get lost or I have gotten to it yet. I apologize Can you resend it?
cool. thanks for the video... was not sure what the "tank" cover was or how it went on. seems pretty easy to install a brand new color scheme for a bike.
the black pieces compliment the white, the bike is not all white. lol It's really white/black trim. I've always loved white/black bikes. Now I finally got one!
thanks bro! This video was a beast to make, hope I never have to do another one anytime soon. lol
im so sad that you change your fairings! i really liked your redbull fairings. Dont get me wrong your bike is still really beautiful i cant wait untill i get enough money to buy and 08 cbr600rr myself. i really like your videos thanks!
I agree!
Excellent video and channel. Bike looks amazing. Wish i could have buy it !
Nice to know that in your country, you can just easily change colors or design-colors on your SSB. Unfortunately, in the Philippines, every time we have to change the colors of our bikes, we need to update and re-register the motorcycle's registration in the LTO (Land & Transportation Office) and get an additional payment for changing the main color. It's a little bit of a hassle but if we hate the color of our bikes, then we need to sacrifice a few thousand pesos for the new color we put on the bike.

Like the older ones better, but these are great. Nice choice brother!
I loved the old look, why did you change it
Great job on this video - it is very helpful. Thanks.
thanks! No I'm not putting a honda decal on it, looks better without it to me.
sick bike man thats on my list as soon as i come back stateside
good video there I am looking at buying these fairings for my ninja and was wondering what the quality is like compared to oem thanks.
thanks! I'm loving it too, much better than the red bull fairings.
