The TST Industries taillight is available in a choice of clear or smoked lens, in a standard or light pattern programmable version. It enables the installer to remove the fender mounted OEM tail lamp and signals, and move all the lighting into the tail. The capsule geometry fits perfectly within the tail fairing, and a little trimming of the subtray is required to assemble the system onto the bike.
This is our own design, a product of American engineering, and is sold only through our stores and a few authorized dealers. Super Street Bike magazine featured this product in their "Mod of the Month" article in April 2012.
Just picked up the hyper pack for my CBR600RR after watching how easy you guys make everything to install. These videos absolutely finalized my decision to purchase from you. Keep up the great work! Professional, detailed, informative. Awesome work guys, kudos. Can't wait for it to get here so I can do the install this weekend.
+32BitWhore We're glad you found our videos helpful! Let us know how the install goes and if you ever need any help just contact us!
Sometimes I wonder why those fenders are even on there. That's one of the first mods I see people doing most often.
The brown wire actually goes to orange. If you do it the way he does it in the video your turn signals will be swapped
yeah. I had the same issue
I think its funny when people call the cbr the "slow" 600. I got an 07. They hit 100 mph in 2nd gear and they are at the 1/4 mile in ten and a half seconds. I can cruise at 120 and roll on the gas and be at 145, no struggle. It's far from slow, its just the powerband is much more linear than the more aggressive R6. And honestly I like it that way, this thing screams at 15k and doesnt run out of steam baby!
It’s the best bike ever!
They cbr600rr are my favourite bikes I have 3 ones an 03 ones an 08 an ones an 09 with only 2400 original kilometres with is only like 1500 miles it’s completely stock an I’m gonna be doing the tail light upgrade an switching my exhaust TOCE exhaust from my 08, but they are one of the fastest 600s in my opinion I raced a buddy an he was on his r6 I pulled from him on the start an finish every gear I gained about a cars worth or space if not more, they are beast of the bikes especially the 08
Just ordered mine, cant wait to install it, looks easy to fit.
You will love it

I got one of this in smoked color on my 2013 600rr and really looks very good!
Thanks for the love and support!
No offense to the other guys but I think bart does installation videos the best out of everyone
Great videos. I just installed this system on my 2012 CBR600RR. Everything work great but when I hooked mine up like you show at 12:15, and tested the lights, the blinkers were opposite. I double checked the wiring and had it like you show. I swapped the single wires (blue and orange plugs) and that fixed it. I bought my bike brand new and this was the first mod ever made on my bike. Just thought I'd let you know.
Thanks for pointing that out.
11secondeclipse I'm struggling with the same thing. should I just inverter the brown and green wire?
Thinking about ordering this for my 2011 600rr, was it worth it after? Did it last?
Great video. The last dude must've installed the wires incorrectly because I don't have proper turn signals, so this will help me out quite a bit.
Did this today on my friend’s bike in Canada. Brown Plug actually goes to the Orange on the bike and Green wire goes to the Blue plug otherwise the signal lights will be reversed.
Great video and step by step directions. Just did mine on my 2018 CBR600RR and it came out awesome. Did the fender eliminator and tag light as well.
Did you get our V2 light for your 2018?
I did, next order will probably be the flush mount turn signals.
@@richiem5025 great! What's your bike color theme?
The bike is Honda Red with some black accents.
I have a 2012. In Florida they say the turn signals need to be atleast 8 inches away from eachother on opposite sides of the plate. IF you stop for them it's a fix it ticket
Gearing up to install my new taillight this weekend.
Great to hear!

I love the DIY video your guys man. I can't wait to order your guys kits for my 08' cbr600rr but what is that snap-on ratchet you used in the video that rachet is so sick.
Thanks buddy. It is not a Snap-On actually. I bought that handle years ago when Husky was making it. Nowadays you can only get it from Stanley Tools....and get this....it is really inexpensive. I think you can pick it up for about 25 bucks. It will be the best purchase you have ever made.

i don't care if is 2020, i will get a 2007-2012 cbr 600rr.

JOHN LI I'm with you bro! I was lucky and decided to buy a brand new one in 2012 and got the last year of the best design ever. 💪
I just bought a black 2012 CBR600RR with 4300 miles on it. It's mint. The guy put demon eye headlights on and a Yoshi RS5 exhaust. I just odered a bunch of stuff from TST industries that I can't wait to put on. I'll be ordering the front turn signals and the crash 2 protection kit next i believe. I'd also like to change all the brake lines to braided stainless.
had no idea these bikes were sought after like this. i just bought one yesterday for my first bike.
Just picked up a 09 cbr600rr with 710 miles all stock.
I ordered mine a couple days ago should be here tomorrow. nervous about the heat shield coming off, my girl rides with me a lot.
Yeah same here, has anyone had any issues with this after installing this kit?
what is the name of the ratchet you have.
My 07 doesn’t have those connectors. It does for the brake light but not signals. It’s just bare wire wrapped around a quick connect. How it was when I got it
Somebody modified it then. The green wire in each signal pair is ground and is not used in the connections. You can tape those off. Your signal leads from our tail light will connect to the orange and blue leads. You can also get a connector repair kit from us and restore your connections.
TSTindustries yeah ordered a a pair of 2-2 connectors from your site
🙏 Good work 👌👌👌👌🙂
Thank you! Cheers!
got an update now. I loosened the exhaust clamp and was about to move forward and the rest of the install went pretty smoothly, despite not being able to get the 2nd bolt on the servo case to thread in so im only rocking one. looks clean though this video helped a lot. By the way, are you guys going to restock the carbon fiber exhaust tip for oem exhaust? Im using the stock tips and the carbon fiber tip would look sick.
Well I am glad that you were able to get your install finished up. I would urge you to get the two screws into the servo tray if your license plate is screwed in that location. Going over bumps with the weight of the license plate bracket and the license plate will over time strain that plastic of the servo tray if it is held only by one screw. Then you run the risk of losing all those components.
We are working on making more of the carbon tips for the OE exhaust. It just takes a while. The carbon line is backed up with a very large order of other parts.
Carreta mais linda .beautiful
good lord the oem lights and fender sure are ugly. much better, and the tail light much brighter than the ones i tried nearly 10 years ago

Thank you. Glad you like the vids.
lets say i follow the instructions perfectly, will i have any problems putting back the OEM fender/tail lights?
If you are using our taillight then the taillight on the fender is redundant. Why are you putting the fender back on?
To pass a safety check... integrated tail lights are illegal in hawaii
Muffin Tops In that case I would recommend our non-integrated in-tail taillight with our pod signal kit. We have another video in the Honda Playlist covering these parts. Please watch that video and then let me know if you have any more questions.
Is it possible to install this tail light in cbr300r?
Perfect, show.
+Thulio Ribeiro Allright...thanks.
It looks great
dafobra it is screaming your name :)
***** Dafobra really likes his fender so I don't think he will be switching to this kit.
Look at that tire! Someone likes ripping it on the twistys !
I would love one of these, But the only thing that worries me is taking the heat shield off and not putting it back on ....
gibbos gibbo If you modify your heatshield in a way that it will not spill the heat collected from the exhaust directly onto the taillight, then you can reinstall the heatshield. We have been doing these installs since 2007 and most of the owners want the heatshield out. They never report any adverse heat accumulation after heatshield removal.
just installed this, fucking love it.. dont forget to tighten the lowering brackets before you take off in excitement, you'll lose them :/
Will this work with a twin brothers tailpipe?
It should work with no issues.
Hi tst, does the non intergrated tail light come with one connection because the pictures on your site it has two connections ?
It comes with only one connection. It has a three conductor connector responsible for running and brake tail light functions

I bought your kit for my 2012 Honda cbr 600rr but it’s a Japan model will i need adapters for it if so which one ?
We're not sure as we do not have access to International models. You may be able to contact our Japanese dealer for more information.

Hi, where can i find the cutting template?

Just installed mt integrated tail light today, only tge running light works so far. Im not aure what i did wrong.
Please email our Support Team and they can try to help out. Support@TSTIndustries.com
were i find clip for the hold down exhaust and the one base for numbers of bike?
Everything is in the same place....the company that brings you these videos manufactures and sells the parts that we show installations of. We mentioned the website in these videos and also provide links in the description.
Is there anyway of mounting the number plate closer to the original placement? As in the UK it would be illegal to have it in and under the seat, any recommendations would be much appreciated.
I have seen license plate brackets sold on the market that mount to the subframe and place your license plate just under your exhaust. This way you can use our tail light and also have your license plate mounted in a location that better suits the needs you described.
i know this an old video prob wont see this but how do i get a stripped servo screw out?
We monitor all our videos, old and new. If the head is stripped then i recommend vise grip locking pliers for that screw removal
Does the TST license plate mount get interfered with by the rear hugger? The bike in the video has the rear hugger deleted.
No, there is no interference. Please see the photos on the product page. All those bikes have the hugger in place tstindustries.com/tst-fender-eliminator-honda-03-16-cbr600rr-04-07-cbr1000rr.html
So I have a 2007 CBR 600RR and I tried to install this kit onto my bike today. Unfortunately my two brothers exhaust is too high up and it is touching the light so it would melt the light if I were to ride to bike. I have purchased the exhaust lowering kit but this is of no use in my situation because the exhaust is literally fixed into place and has no travel in the vertical direction. Please let me know if there's anything I can do in this situation.
Take a look at this video from about the 8 minute mark. ruclips.net/video/CMCIHTG-n_U/видео.html
We install the Two Bros exhaust on this bike with the tail light in place and use links to have it low enough that there is no interference with the tail light.
TSTindustries how did you wire up both the oem brake light and tst light at the same time?
HeroDanny we used jumper with OEM crimps. It was for the purpose of making the video so we did not make any permanent modifications.
+TSTindustries is this brake light 50 state legal and if not do you have info on where it isn't?
I'm sorry but we do not have that info. The best thing to do is to research your local DOT laws. If it turns out an integrated taillight is illegal for you then you can opt for a non-integrated in-tail taillight that we have along with a pod signal kit.
I'm looking to get the programmable do i need the load balancing resistors if im getting the additional relay?
Nope. The relay will straighten out your flash rate with nothing additional needed
This is a beautiful piece of kit, also, this guide is complete and an endorsement for wanting to buy it. Absolutely everything is covered and made to look like even a pleb like me could accomplish.
I just need the cash and the time for you to send the kit to the butthole of the planet. New Zealand.🤣🤣
Oh I don't know about the butthole thing. Your area has incredible natural beauty, awesome conditions and environment for speed flying and paragliding, and a company that makes some of the best parachutes in the world. I also have seen images of mountainous windy roads that are surely a blast to ride. I wouldn't mind living there.
@TSTindustries I’m not sure if you will see this message but I installed this light and whoever had my bike before put on a MGP Hot bodies slip on. It’s not very adjustable and it’s Abit close to the light but not touching. Probably a finger width away, am I going to melt this light? Will I need to get a new exhaust before riding?
Did you use our exhaust lowering link kit to lower the exhaust slightly? If you have an inch of clearance, you should be good to go!
@@TSTindustries omg thank you so much for the reply! I used the lowering kit yes! I lowered it as much as I could but it wasn’t very maneuverable. There’s some clearance. I’ll measure for at least an inch of clearance. Thank you so much. Just ordered the relay as well! Can’t wait to get on the road!
And what is going to light up the number plate after this mod ?
We use license plate lights for that

I guess you had a production change or something, because the turn signals are reversed, unless maybe your replacement relay reversed them. No big deal as I simply reversed the plugs. Brown wire plug now goes to the orange connector. Green wire plug to the blue connector. I hope everybody checks this before finishing the install.
Also, if you want to put your side reflectors back on, you need to do it before installing the tail. You need to use the leftover bolts from the exhaust end piece as the original bolts are now too long.
+st8kout1 There was no production change. Thank you for pointing this out. We will check with engineering to see why yours had reversed colors. Could you email our support with your order number so we could investigate this? I always include a step in our videos after the connection procedure to check that the correct signal lights up when activated. This step is a failsafe for this situation.
+TSTindustries I sent the email.
It all came out very well and I am happy with my purchase. The stock exhaust actually looks pretty good after I put the end pieces back on. I mounted my license plate a little more towards the front of the bike (hence a bit lower), so I was able to lower the exhaust a bit more than you show, so the tail pieces do not obstruct the brake light. The 4-LED license plate light really makes the plate stand out and illuminates some of the underside of the bike, giving a nice effect.
st8kout1 thank you for the update. It's awesome to hear that everything came out so great. Maybe if you get a chance you could post a photo of the finished product on our Facebook page. Thanks for the email too. Happy new year.
How would we have to wire the license plate light?
Please see this video at time stamp 16: 30 ruclips.net/video/cSM7Q_kMmeY/видео.html
Is the lowering link required for stock exhaust? Did not see that as an option for the 07-12 cbr in the kit.
+Aaron Keene The exhaust lowering links are highly recommended for that configuration. I have personally adjusted the hanging height of the exhaust so that it does not make contact with the taillight capsule but that procedure is pretty cumbersome. We make the lowering link kit to enable installers to vary the exhaust height easier, and with a wide range of adjustability. The Exhaust Lowering Kit is the first listed recommended accessory in the "Recommended Accessories" tab.
Is It bad running no heat shield with the OEM exhaust? I heard that with honda stock it can melt something running no shields with it.
We have had many customers run no heatshield with OE exhaust. The main consideration is whether or not you are willing to take the risk of possible contact with exposed exhaust piping. Most of our customers take them off but some leave the heat shields on. If you decide to leave it on then it will have to be modified to not spill hot air onto the lens of the tail light. The accumulation of very hot air above the exhaust spills onto the tail light and melts it unless the heatshield is modified.
If I purchase the standard smoked tail light, will I still need to purchase a TST Industries relay?
If you don't here are your choices:
1. Leave it blinking fast (not recommended since faster flash is not standard signaling and may be confusing to drivers...it will not harm electronics though)
2. Use the resistors provided at no cost with the tail light installed according to the provided instruction sheet (this is cumbersome and leaves dangling heated elements within your bike)
3. Spring for the plug and play relay, save time, have proper flash rate
Does the kit come with the tst relay? To make the flash rate slower? Or is that a separate purchase?
It is a separate item. Some people already have that installed and some people want a faster flash rate (i know ..weird). So we offer all of our products a la carte.
Can you just activiate the strobing brake light but keep the regular indicators?
Yes, that is one of the combinations of the modes.
Thanks for the reply. I have just ordered the non-integrated light on your website as I want the extra brightness.
Will the exhaust melt the plastic on the light? I recently bought this light and lowered the exhaust about the same height gap between light
As long as you have a gap of at least 3/16 inch or 5mm, that should be all that's needed!
Quick question I have the programmable turn signal do you have to switch it back an forth from brake.light flashing and regular brake light? Same with turn signal
I don't understand your question. Can you explain a little more?
@@TSTindustries like I set the programmable lights to flash when the brake light is pushed and everytime I start the bike I have to push the button every time to switch back to the flash
@@cinemagaming20 that is not right. The light is designed to remember your choice until you change it. You can contact our support staff through our website to get help with the light.
@@TSTindustries okay I will thank you!
how important is the heat shield in the terms of discomfort?
It depends on your climate and how you ride. If you live in a place like Dubai or Arizona, and typically stop often in traffic, then a heatshield will likely be needed so your butt doesn't become too hot.
I bought one and installed. The only problem I have is the pulse break light option when I set it, it will eventually go back to normal with just a solid light and no pulse. It could be a day or a couple days or a week. It’s always different but the point is I always have to press that button to set the pulse. The sliding turn signal is no problem, that doesn’t go back to default
You can contact our customer service department to get help with this.
I cant fit my lower heat shield back on the bike with the lowering kit. Ive been trying for 5 hours and theres nothing I can do to get it in. The inner bolt is hitting the pipe. Is this a common problem? (07 CBR 600)
We do not typically get reports of this symptom. I also do not know what exhaust you are using so it is tough to be specific to your case. I have had difficulty with heat shield fitting on after exhaust lowering. For me it was caused by the behind passenger peg mount. Slotting put the shield mounting hole helped me move the heatshield into alignment with the pipe and getting enough clearance.
@TSTindustries
Sorry, I forgot to mention it was an OEM honda exhaust. I think I actually found the problem. I put the damn brackets in backwards. I had the bigger loop mounted to the frame instead of the smaller one. It took me a long time to get that midpipe one on but ill fix it and then it will probably clear the pipe.
God im so dumb 💀
Is that mid-pipe mount necessary with the OEM exhaust or can I just use the two main ones towards the rear?
@@ZA-lc4zi i have used that exhaust with only the two mounts in the rear. Just to be extra secure put some threadlock on those fastener pairs.
Once remove the exhaust heat shield you feel the heat while riding?
We never had that issue, and it has never been reported by the thousands of customers that bought this setup.
Am I able to paint the exhaust pipe and muffler black . I think it would look better on my Cbr
There are coatings in existence that will withstand the heat levels on the exhaust. They are typically applied in a powder coating system. You can find some high heat spray on paint but I can't tell you for sure that it won't blister off.
can you get away without running the lowering links for the exhaust? or does it put it to close to the tailight?
More than likely it will place the exhaust too close to the tail light.
TSTindustries after seeing the carbon undertail video the gap doesn’t look to bad so a big deal
do I have to use the lowering links for the exhaust?
We would definitely recommend it in order to achieve the 3/16th inch gap between the tail light and exhaust we recommend.
@@TSTindustries do you recommend it because of the heat?
@@Cryptstalker22 yes...contact with exhaust creates a pathway for heat conduction.
@@TSTindustries thank you very much

Are the integrated tail lights only for the cbr600rr models? Is there one for the cbr300r?
Unfortunately we do not have a tail light for the 300R at this time. Sorry about that.
How can I slow the speed of the turn signals on this, I did not get the programmable version of the tailight, but is there a way to adjust speed of turn signals since they are way too fast?
If you purchase our LED Flasher Relay it's fully adjustable for the entire signaling circuit.

Damm that's a lot of work...
Surely having no heat shield means a hot ass for both rider and pillion?
I haven't heard of anyone feeling any adverse effects after removing the heat shield. Maybe if you live in Arizona and sit at red lights with engine on for 5 minutes at a time.
Do you need a resistor for these integrated tail lights?
Aaron Price If you would like to slow down your signal flash rate to OEM speed then yes. Resistors are included with the tail light but splicing is required. If you want a plug n' play solution then you can go with our LED Flasher Relay which is a direct replacement for the resistors.
I kinda want smoked but is it not as bright as the clear?
Well you can get the non-integrated version that uses all 80 LEDs for running / brake light and that way you will have an extremely bright taillight regardless of lens color. tstindustries.com/TST-LED-Non-Integrated-Tail-Light-Honda-CBR600RR-2007-2012.html

Tail light and license plate light are two separate items. We sell both.
Is it ok to use my stock relay on these tails or it will do some damage?I just installed my tailight but the relay will come next week. Tia

No damage will occur. You will just have a very fast flash rate.
I have the integrated but only my running light is working. Just installed it today
Hi I have a 2009 cbr 600rr UK model will the connections be the same as USA models? If not does tst sell the one I need?
From what we have seen over the years, Honda has stuck to using the same connectors across the world on the 600RR bikes. That being said, being that we do not have access to European bikes, it would be best for you to check and compare to our photos before ordering. Since it is a 2009 there is a chance that over the life cycle of this bike someone had changed the lighting equipment and the connectors may be different. This is another reason to remove the tail fairing and make sure.
Ok thanks for the help. Does tst lights come with a 2 pin connection on all 3 connections?
Our tail light features 3 connectors. The main one has 3 wires (running/brake/ground) and the other 2 connectors are the turn signal connectors featuring 1 wire in each. The turn signal connectors on our light do not feature a ground wire as the unit is integrated and features one common ground wire/function. @@lukebond431

yea, thats what i meant. thanks!
there are two heat shields on that bike, one above the exhaust and one protecting your right leg over by the midpipe. I would recommend keeping the midpipe shield.
Is this fits on my CBR1000 2006?
No. What you are looking for is the light portrayed in this video: ruclips.net/video/WnUSmwV9GkA/видео.html
how bright are they? one i bought was not nearly bright enough, def not for safety standards
We invented this tail light technology back in 2009. Unfortunately cheap copies surfaced a little while ago that aren't made by us. They are inferior in all parameters. If you bought one that you feel is not bright enough then you must have gotten a cheap copy.
@@TSTindustries good to know. I think i do recall it was likely a chinese knock bc it was only $20
Do you need to buy the relay? Will it cause damage if you don't?
+Travis Fitzgibbons The tail light will function without the relay, however, your turn signals will have a fast flash rate. Therefore we always recommend getting the relay along with the tail light to cure this problem.
+TSTindustries I just received my taillight, and when I went to install it I noticed that the previous owner cut off the female turn signal connectors and crimped the original wires to the main harness. Is there any way I can wire it up without the plug and play connectors
+Travis Fitzgibbons you can do that, or you can contact Mark through our support center and get hooked up with OEM connectors for a professional installation
+TSTindustries I will contact him tomorrow. I would rather make it look professional
I installed this and the license plate holder as suggested. but the plate with the stealth light sits on the stock exhaust. I think it will melt it ? I think I should.move it
on our shop 600rr we have the stealth license plate light off center a bit to leave a gap from the exhaust. The bracket itself has multiple slots in the mounting area. Those will enable you to find the positioning for your license plate that makes it not touch the exhaust.
+TSTindustries 10-4 thank you
+TSTindustries what helped is I put the stock plate holder behind the plate and it pushed it away from the exhaust. at least till my girlfriend orders the toce exhaust it will work for now.
+nico rojas that sounds like it will solve your issue but it is a workaround. We have been installing this bracket on 07-12 model since the bike came out and there is a way to adjust it so you don't have to use workarounds.

You had other customers with this problem? How did they solve? Thanks
I have solved it, tho still waiting for the order from the US, should come within a week. I have found a simple license plate holder mounted under the exhaust. It costs 35£ I believe, therefore I will make one on my own, I have the exact pictures and measures. Also found an universal license plate LED light for about 12€. Now it's only a case of connecting the plate' lightning to the TST integrated tail light. If you want more info, I can send you some pics etc. over the Christmas when I'm home and got myself into installing the exhaust, taill light and plate holder. Cheers m8
+goti36 Hey mate how did it end up going on your bike? any photos?
It ended up pretty well. You can check my channel for a video. I can also send you some pictures if you want. Just give me your email. Cheers
Just checked your page and it looks great!! Just curious what licence plate holder you got to fit your EU requirements?
Is it possible to install integrated tail light on a 2008 model?
Yes it is possible.
