Back in the day I would love to go near the portal and just look up and stare at the palace from the entrance to the Mountain Temple. This ambience captures that moment perfectly!

The palace view from the portal was such a tragic beauty. A magnificent palace overlooking a dystopian city from the lush and beautiful mountains plagued by metal heads.

I loved this place. A true dose of Precursor lands and wilderness from Jak and Daxter in Jak 2

nothing like this anymore. Closest thing would be the dark souls games and elden ring.

They dont make games like this anymore. The people who made jak and daxter 1-2-3 are long gone from naughty dog, even those who made uncharted 4 or tlou 2013. Gaming is dead....todays generation have no clue what the golden age of gaming was like back in the ps2 era,.....

There’s nothing authentic anymore. Everything is a recycled product of “what was”. It’s pretty sad. Btw your profile pic is so hot!

Old games is all i play. Some new stuff horizon forbidden west, resident evil, uncarted , elden ring etc sure.
but gaming largely is dead. sony is already working on ps6 and the ps5 had maybe 2 good games on it.
Theres nothing worthwile coming out in 2024... even if there was it'd be full of transgender and blackwashing and gay agenda. look what happened to the last of us....gaming is dead. All that remains are those who remember what was. like you and me. and we are a dying breed.
      So cheers to you, brother.@@Qwent-23

mainstream gaming may be dead but at least the indi studios are trying to keep gaming alive

@@Nikotinbetyar Fiam, most of the indie games are not worth mentioning.
There are precious few who could be considered decent in quality and gameplay.
They're gimmicks. For every stardew valley and goose game there is 1000x weird, nonsensical, underdeveloped shit.
And i would like to point out that indie g. can NEVER replace AAA high budget g. They will never reach the level of entertainment Uncharted 4, The last of us 2013, Bloodborne etc provided. Even if you take the best indie game, it won't ever manage to compete with the best gaming had to offer and that's the sad part.
So no, indies don't really keep gaming alive. They're just there for casual fun. Gaming IS dead. The golden age 2000-2015 is gone.
Look around. As companies keep making shit, the standards of everyone goes lower and lower. Soon people will praise what 10 years ago would have been considered trash. No one remembers what was. Especially not the modern generation.
