The fact that someone from the offices came up to Mike and even publicly tossed the idea around of dropping all of the content team is crazy. It's good to hear that he stood up for everyone, especially after the Tox squad was dropped, which was unbelievable to begin with.
I feel like the viewers are more invested than the company gives them credit for. I've been waiting to hear honest and truthful conversation about this stuff since you guys moved down there. Viewers need transparency. This is a step in the right direction
OpTic started feeling like the transition from Middle School to High School - we went from knowing everybody in the org to knowing like a third of the people, with people moving away and junk. It's just not the same squad anymore

I gotta agree with you man. People like nadeshot and scump are huge because they built their own audiences. Boze, Maniac, Crim, Formal and others inherited fans when they joined Optic, but I'm not sure if they ever had the same love (or necessity) of creating good content to grow their brands. When you're instantly given 100k+ followers just for attaching a tag to your name, it probably creates entitlement in some when it would drive others. I think it's also just a different time. Back when Optic was at its most likeable, content was the main source of income. Content drove sponsors. Now esports like Overwatch and LoL have franchising and a guaranteed source of income. Players don't have to be personalities on their own. They just have to sit for an interview once a week to fulfill a contract and collect their cash. And then when you have your main personalities like Scump, BigT and others not uploading their own content because they don't prioritize it, your brand suffers. There's no easy solution to any of this. The world around these guys is just changing quickly. They can long to go back to the way things were in the first Optic house or even the scuf house, but things have changed and it's either adapt or be left behind. One thing I don't get is why Hitch has such little sway in any of these content related decisions. I wonder if Hecz just got overwhelmed when he had to start going to LA so often for LCS and Houston for the Outlaws. Maybe he put some faith in the wrong people and needs to grab the reins a bit and reorganize.

no he doesnt have bernie sanders socialist like views at all hes loaded and doesnt want to pay higher taxes the only slightly left view he shares is the gun violence in his home city of chicago. He went crazy 8 years ago and hasnt made good music, statments or clothing since.

The whole org was built on fan base, if you lose fans then sponsors have no interest as they will get no return on their investment. The whole thing has been done unfortunately and it’s probably too late to fix. I think that is largely the reason content isn’t consistent because no one in optic is happy therefore have no motivation to produce anything. Not saying that’s factual
