Band-Maid is rock music's equivalent to a composer in classical music that writes masterful music that is both stylistically as diverse as Bach and Bartok and with their proficiencies. These ladies are simply at another level. As they continue to evolve and improve, they are further distancing themselves from the rest of the pack. Cheers!
J-LOD was a Japanese government initiative to help artists through the covid lockdowns. They gave grants to artistes to put out video's of their work. One of the stipulations was that the video's must be 5 minutes or longer in duration. Band-Maid have no 5 minute songs so they put out two songs on each J-LOD video. Both of these tracks were taken Band-Maids online concert livestreamed on May 10th 2021.
A funny rating that Akane, the drummer, gives each song is based on the BPM's. "Black Hole" she gave a rating of "Hell" because it was at 220 BPM's (her maximum speed). Kanami is always pushing her bandmates (and herself) to strive for more excellence in their music. That is the hallmark of great bands.
