Great work Stab really enjoyed your 2019 media, so happy Italo won a true sportsman, the rules need to be changed to stop the unsportsmanlike actions of persons like Media.
there actually is a rule in place for unsportsmanlike conduct, but evidently WSL did not want to apply it. they are asking for people to do this more and more and looking for not only bad competition but also injuries.

bruce is such a legend, kids do really need to know their history. surfing has the most complex history out of any "sport". pipeline and Hawaii in general has truly pioneered what surfing is for us today, and she continues to. as a surfer, its your duty to try and know the history of the breaks you surf and the places you want to surf. and if you don't agree you probably only buy boards from costco, or only surf on the weekends. don't be surprised next time you foamball that "older dude who rips" and get kicked out, all because you didn't know who he was.

enjoyable. and nice that you at least called medina's tactics "questionable". i'd go a lot further than that. and the wsl should be ashamed for not enforcing the rule they have on unsportsmanlike behavior. if having your insane dad on the beach screaming "burn him burn him" and you give thumbs up and do it, isn't unsportsmanlike, what is? taking your glock out? wsl is encouraging a kind of competition that has little to do with good surfing, a kind of surfing i have little interest in watching, and surfing that will likely result in people being seriously hurt.
I hate localism ...Every one should respect everyone and thats it, the surfing community should be open to everybody everywhere If they come with respect and no one ownes a the waves and the ocean ...not even if your surfed it your whole life ....surfing should be about sharing ,caring and loving the ocean...and live the dream.

Out of curiosity: why is it that, seemingly, it is only Hawaii that must be treated with the utmost and severe respect? A full four minutes of the clip is entirely dedicated to establishing a supreme respect, fear, even, of the Hawaiian locals. I am not saying I disagree with the sentiment, it is completely true and good to do so. But why Hawaii over every other place? The whole thing seems somewhat kooky, when you think of how there is little thought given to surfing in almost any other place in the world.
Groups of Hawaiians travelling to surf other places are(generally) not that respectful either.
because everyone goes to Hawaii to end the year between both contests and the big wave Events like Jaws possibly Waimea back door shootout triple crown events there isn't one event on tour where this happens where people camp out in an area for MONTHS not days not weeks MONTHS.
