It is commendable really the way the whole covid testing dilemma is being managed there in Hawaii. Taking no chances and with so many people from foreign soils coming into the community for such an event. It is a lot of testing but hats off to them all.
How do i know who is local? Do they show their ids? How can i tell that a person who is non local, but acts like a local, is a non local, because i have never been there before, not being able to know who ALWAYS comes there? What is a local, someone who lives at that beach, in the block, in town, in area?

Yeah i had a locals only episode at Keramas of all places. I was doing everything right. Didn’t paddle straight to the peak. Waited my turn let locals catch 3 waves each and most of them falling every time. I went for one wave and all ten guys wanted to jump me. It was total BS, never experienced anything like it in my 40 years of surfing. Not even when i lived in Hawaii. It was weird....
Dont walk down my street unless I give you permission. Go hang out at the playground with the kids. As much as I love to watch the people surf they all seem to act a little like brats. I kinda understand and I kinda don’t
Equal platforms? How does it make sense to pay women in pro sports like surfing like they are competing a) on mens level b) against 2/3 less competition c) attracting smaller amounts of viewers & sponsors ?

We hear ya @Zachary Flagler. It takes a while but the objective is to bring you what the live event feeds can't. And then, with this episode, everything was weird because of all the hurdles. Hopefully you learned something new about the Triple Crown season... now on to OZ!
