While Austin police officers were conducting a traffic stop, this man thought it would be a good idea to burglarize a car directly across the street from them.
I find it interesting that the cops had an actual legitimate crime to investigate and they left the photographer alone to do what he does. Adds more concern that cops are trying to hide something when they try to stop photographers.
Correct. When the facts of the case will make them look good, they not only allow cameras, but they call reporters up to tell them what happened. The only time they don't like cameras are when they're trying to create a case, because cameras will contradict the routine lies on their police reports.
100% true. there was no defensiveness from the cops because what they were doing was legitimate, justified, and within the boundaries of law enforcement. the only cops that hate cameras are bad ones.
@@twain3074 Not true. At all. There are cops in many places that hate being recorded. My cousin worked undercover narcotics for many years. I remember him saying a few times, he tried to convince people not to record him. It puts undercover officers and their families in unnecessary danger. This is why I try to look at the auditor’s intent AND the officers reactions
Some cops just have a power trip and they see someone recording them as a type of challenge or insult. It’s more of an ego thing I think than anything else.

That's not the issue. There are professional cops and unprofessional cops. There will always be bad cops no matter what training or screening you do. The problem is when officers are caught committing crimes and/or violating people's rights they are rarely held accountable. They just move up the ranks.
Mr Turner as a fellow Texan I’ve done my best to share your videos with everyone I know to share your work. Learning and exercising our rights and holding public officials accountable when they violate them. Thank you.
Very rarely…..but it does happen , you come across some great respectable officers . Are we asking too much if all the officers would be like this…..seriously. You can tell these officers are here to serve the public. Beautiful Thanks for the video. Peace
Wow they actually caught someone commenting an actual crime! Wow! Great to know you are getting back out there! We have missed you and your content! 🌻💜🌻
Never answer even one question from a cop ever! He could have got a better deal then! People lock your damn cars what are YOU thinking? Damn it's tough these days to push down one button.
@@mythoughts772 my immediate thoughts on your comment reply are that every car has windows, every car has locks. SJVT has a lawyer that he is down with that gives the best advice for when dealing with law enforcement..... "SHUT THE FVCK UP!!" This dude talked himself into a confession. Smh.
Mr Battousai ... You bring us great video's that not only inform us of the rights we forget about but also good video on what to watch for... the sad part is depending on who is in charge and the laws in that area the guy would probably have been released. i know in california 2020 or 2021 there was a guy arrested 3 times for car jacking in one day but they just kept releasing the idiot. so 3 different people/families were traumatized because of that idiot
Cops across the street but...... it just looked so easy! Idiot mentality. (But without the alarm going off, he probably would have grabbed whatever he saw and stole it.)
Now that is how an interaction is supposed to go. The cops are probably learning too that in cases where things are pretty obvious like break-ins having an auditor there can be a good thing. Some people will talk and give up evidence, they need to have a video journalist there to ask what the public is going to ask. Those are fair questions. It can work in the favor of getting convictions for them instead of against them if they'll let it. -Brian Morris
Its good to see officers treat people with dignity and respect, they caught this man red handed so he deserves to go Infront of the judge but the cop treated him reasonably, explained the situation and was respectful of the right to record and even had a sense of humour in regards to being photogenic but I can respect officers when they conduct themselves like this, there was no need to ridicule or belittle the bloke and they didn't push him around and man handle him trying to induce a physical altercation, in all it was good police work which we don't see enough of so encouraging to see there are still a few officers with honour and integrity it's just a pity there so far and few between.👍✌️
Good observation & editing. But I don't understand how he can be charged with "trespassing" if he wasn't somehow notified previous to doing so 🤔. That was also 1 of the best officer investigations I've ever seen on film. He really was laying out the facts pretty well.

"Nah man, I'm photogenic!" 😁 Love that attitude Officer!
Great seeing those rare cops that don't mess with the cameraman/woman.
Dumb criminals are a lazy officer's dream. Too easy!
I don't think good cops are rare I think we only see the bad ones posted. The problem is departments don't deal with bad ones properly.
It's a breathe of fresh air to see policing done correctly. Well done catching this rare gem of a moment.

why cant they all go this way! imagine when were this free from infringement all the time fam?? ah, a man can dream! step by step bb

Fantastic audit. No hype no drama, no click bait.
"I wear my sunglasses at night..." LMFAO!

'Night Stalker' talking about the dude wearing the sunglasses...
That was some GOOD policing, good for them!
Wish more cops found themselves photogenic. I appreciate these officers' calm demeanor.

Thanks Batman! Makes me feel good knowing you're out and about!
Nice to see a good clean interaction.
Hope they do this as standard and that this wasn't an exception, just because this was so red-handed.

The arresting officer is fine asf and look like he smell good. I’m so proud of him and his professionalism.
If they get a report of another break in to a vehicle and forgion currency is missing they probably have their culprit.
My left ear really enjoyed that intro speech :P
Also, love the humor with the song played at 1:00 xDD
Unbelievable. So in his mind, since the car was unlocked, he's allowed to go in it. Or that's his excuse? Crazy.
What a difference.....👍👍
I like the good interactions better then the bad ones honestly. Hopefully police can use these examples to train the rest.
