The interesting thing about the OT is that it explained why the Jedi Order was doomed to fail in the prequels. Luke held on to his attachments and that is what allowed him to conquer his anger and fear to become a Jedi. Anakin was not allowed to do the same. His Master and the Jedi Council refused to help his mother and left her to her fate in Tatooine. Losing her was his first step to the Dark Side. And when he's worried about Padme, Yoda gives the same terrible advice of just let her die. Now 20 years later when Anakin's son is also being tortured with visions of his friends' torture, Yoda and ObiWan are giving the same exact terrible advice.
God, trying not to cry was hard. I want to thank you for showing Obi-wan's thoughts and regrets. I always had a bit of a grudge against Obi-wan for failing to be what Anakin needed, since we have to remember Anakin was not raised and cared in some fancy temple or had a stable home with caring parents, no he was a slave to the huts, the only one reminding him that he was a person was his mom, who was left to die in Tatooin. Anakin needed guidance, he needed a stable environment and most of all he needed to learn how to form healthy relationships, I know Obi-wan tried his best in his head but the truth remains Obi-Wan failed to be what Anakin needed, instead he was a Jeedi, allowing a broken and decrepit order break his so called brother, the same order may I add, that send his teacher to die and almost got himself killed. Also Yoda can go choke and die in a pit, don't act as if you're blameless, it was your jeedi order that produced siths in abundance, Dooku, Barris and Anakin were all product of a toxic cult that was more focused in politics than in it's own members.
The reason why Yoda chose the Deagobah system to live, because their was something about the planet, which made it difficult for the emperor to detect his presence.
If I remember correctly, I believe I was told that it was because Deagobah was considered a nexus of Dark Side Force energies, which is similar (in form at least) to the Dark Side artifacts cluttering up the Jedi Temple on Coruscant that made the Jedi vulnerable to Darth Sidious clouding their foresight.
Not a coward broken. They made it so he was alone and had none of the lessons from his own brief fall. That is why it is bad for leaders to be alone or expected to be perfect
This was really good. Man, this will male me see that scene in a whole new way. It's very sad. Obi-Wan sounds like he's coming from heartbreak and resentment from carrying the burden of his promise to Qui-Gon.
This was great! I could feel the frustration of Kenobi and Yoda in a palpable way. I could almost side with Luke, as he wanted to stretch out with his Force abilities. The fear of Kenobi and Yoda, that time was wasted; the defeat the possibly lay ahead. Thanks for this.
I've always liked and appreciated a good in-depth look into various stories from my favorite franchises. I remember once reading about Leia's feelings and thoughts as she helped Han out of that carbonite block he was stuck in ROTJ. They were insightful.
Aight bro imma buy the certain point of view novels. I just got the shadows of the sith one but I’m starting that after I finish this last bit of Family at war 💯
Even IF Vader’s lightsaber didn’t touch Obi Wan, and I don’t know that it didn’t, Obi Wan was beaten. Vader forced Obi Wan to become one with the force. He had no choice in the matter. It’s one of those “you can’t fire me, I quit!” things. Either way OBK wasn’t going to be coming in to work anymore.
Did someone actually WRITE this suck? Now I think even less of Master From-A-Certain-Point-Of-View. He sounds like some crying "woe-is me" self-absorbed millennium (not Falcon) pr*ck.
I swear, this man was born to be the caretaker of the Skywalker family.
“I don’t know why I’m defending anakin, even in my own head, especially after HE KILLED ME!” 🤣🤣🤣🤣 i laughed wayyy too hard
Even in death, Obi-Wan is still the master of trolling.
Obi Wan referring to R2 as 'ever the instigator' was also great 😂

12:15 This is not true. After all stories from the comics between episodes 4 and 5 Lukes knows Leia and Han very well
I didn't write the book 🤷♂️
Wow! Such great reading and dialogue in the scene.
Good one dude, your narrative is the best
Obi-Wan is the real hero

Really interesting video from Obi Wan's perspective, laughing at how Obi Wan's general thought is "freaking Skywalkers" 😂

It interesting how its repeated that the Focus of the Skywalkers can shatter planets.
Obo Wan is right, Luke isn't Aniklin. Luke has to stay himself but he will (did) remember his promise.
Not a coward broken. They made it so he was alone and had none of the lessons from his own brief fall. That is why it is bad for leaders to be alone or expected to be perfect
He is Luke but not the one we know from legends. One that never fully trusted himself.

If only qui gon talked to Luke..

I wonder what he thought of Luke after the conflict and the fact that he survived. Than came back.
I have a new video coming soon that addresses that! Obi-Wan's thoughts when he speaks to Luke in ROTJ!
@@RetneysHolocron I’ll be looking forward to that.
Thanks, your a really good narrator.
Thanks Aron 🙏
“If anakin couldn’t get his ship out of the swamp, I have no doubt that he would find a way to walk off the planet”🤣

Like Qui gon before him Luke knew what it meant to be a jedi something you'd think both Obi wan and Yoda would understand after the prequels.
You are truly doing the Lord’s work ! Thank you for sharing
Yes, a Sith Lord's work.
Aight bro imma buy the certain point of view novels. I just got the shadows of the sith one but I’m starting that after I finish this last bit of Family at war 💯
I love your videos ❤
I had to pause the video. I was laughing so hard, when you said Yoda wanted to make a meal out of exile. 😂
Lol thats just what it says in the book I'm citing!
even after everything, Yoda still hadn't learned
Did vader kill Obi? I thought Obi disappeared right before vaders blade actually touched him
Vader killed him. His body vanished because he became one with the Force!
And she was a good friend...
