I'm so grateful to you for making this video! This is my first pregnancy (not planned) and I've felt so alone in my feelings of grief and rage. Watching this helped and inspired me to make my spiritual development a priority during pregnancy. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this video (made 4 years ago!). I'm newly pregnant for my first child and I have only started to realize my grief of the devastating disconnect between me in this state and the western society and people in it. I'm feeling lonely because the sacred process and femininity that I feel inside me is nowhere to be found around me. And no one talks about pregnancy as a spiritual thing anyway. So thank you, I feel so much better.

❤ exactly what I was looking for. I’m first time pregnant in my 1st trimester. I’ve always been a spiritual person but seem to be struggling to connect to myself and the divine at the moment. I will keep working through it and hopefully feel connected soon. I appreciate this video and you for creating it! Thank you ❤

I have been working through niching down on my ideal client. I am a mom of a 24 year old and over the last 4 months, I have been preparing my body for the souls who are planning to come through me. They say when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. During my first experience with pregnancy and motherhood, I didn’t even understand I was a spiritual being and a soul, let alone that my daughter was also. It wasn’t until she turned 20 that I began waking up and since then our relationship has become such a beautiful exploration of 2 souls on our journey through this life. I regretted not having understood the spiritual side of pregnancy and motherhood and kept trying to articulate who I wanted to help and why, as a coach. I began brainstorming and then decided to type in spirituality and pregnancy and your video was the first one to show up. I resonated with everything you said here and feel like I just tapped in to a deeper layer of purpose. I am sure we will work together and this is the only work of yours I’ve ever seen. Thank you!

What a lovely video! I’d love truth tellers. And you are definitely a truth teller. I had a profound experience myself with my children’s birth. My twins will be 18 on 5 May. I have to go and say as a truth that I really wish I knew more about enzymes and gut bacteria before I had my pregnancies. The medical establishment just does not touch on this area enough.

I’m not sure if you will see this as this video has been posted a long time ago, but I just recently found out I am pregnant. This video was so reassuring as this is my first baby and I feel lost. Both my partner and I have not a clue what we are doing and are also skeptical of the medical system. Thank you for sharing this. Any other tips you recommend to new moms? I would appreciate the help 🙏🏽✨ namaste

Paola, thank you so much, and congratulations! My little one is now 3.5. So happy you found this reassuring. I would highly recommend a home birth if that's possible for you, or at least an out of hospital birth. I highly recommend the book, "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth" as a place to start. And definitely plan for as much help as possible for your postpartum time. Lots of love to you and your family.

This was the video I was looking for. I too had a vision of a daughter, more than once. When I found out I was having a boy I was shocked. But differently from you I don't want a second child, so I've been wondering, maybe the child I saw was myself. I also went through the same despair of understanding and realizing I am dying and I am living my death while I create the life of my child. That's a very unpopular opinion in this society, and I loved to see someone else talk about it. Thank you for putting this video out in the world.

    • @catherineliggetthealing
      @catherineliggetthealing  2 года назад +1

Thank you so much for your words here, Camila. Yes, your vision of the child could have so many roots. And yes, absolutely creating a child and being born as a mother means the death of the maiden self. This is unpopular because we live in a death-phobic society. Thank you for your courage in speaking the truth. It is not meant negatively... We need death in order to create new life. It is the fertile soil. I found the book The Wild Edge of Sorrow by Francis Weller to be an extraordinary resource in my understanding of grief and its power.. Check it out! XO, Catherine

Catherine Liggett aww thank you! Blessings dear one! This time around I’m avoiding the medical route and using midwives.. hoping the touch of spiritual births I had before is fully realized as I feel I will be able to completely surrender in a more comfortable and supportive setting. How did your delivery go?!

Deep Roots Detox - I had a home birth with amazing midwives and a wonderful doula. ✨ I wouldn’t dream of planning it any other way. She is our first. I labored unmedicated for over 60 hours, but being at home made all the difference. I was able to stay as relaxed as possible, and be in my own spiritual - emotional - physical space. I highly recommend it.

It is good to be aware of all of your emotions when you are pregnant, including the -ones. But you have to realize that everything you are feeling everything that is going through your mind. Everything you’re experiencing is affecting the fetus. It’s affecting the fetus in a very physical way, and in a very spiritual mental way. I don’t know the extent of how it works But ever since I got pregnant the first time when I was 22 maybe 21 and I was very unhappy and that pregnancy and I lost the baby. But it was a good thing cause it let me get a hold on myself, and figure out who I am and where I want to be. But besides that I had the opportunity to really think deeply about what it means to be pregnant and how I want to be as a mother, and even as a pregnant person. I had a thoughts and ideas of how what I am doing in the experience as I am going through and how I am participating in my life are directly affecting the baby. I cannot find any information on that kind of a topic until after I got pregnant with, my first birth child when I was 29. I finally found information about how the physical and mental state of the parents affect the child, in utero. Nature versus nurture starts in the womb. There were certain things that were very obvious to me personally ever since my first miscarriage, like that, a lot of the physical emotions we feel actually have chemical components released in your brain cycling through your body through your bloodstream and that is going to reach into your baby. If you’re feeling rage, your baby going to be feeling some of that rage because of whatever the hormones and chemicals, causing the physical reaction are cycling through your body and going through the placenta and causing the same emotions in your baby. I personally think that there is something to say about them understanding why you are feeling the emotion, but there’s no scientific evidence to support that. But now you can find hard proof via scientific experimentation and studies in physicals and examinations of pregnant people who have been giving data into their child early childhood, and even as a teenager, and then, one case that I’m aware of in Europe, there was a study A group of children from birth until death… Every seven years or so they would give updates on their life, but I do not know if the researchers took into account information on what was going on when they were developing inside their parents room. I don’t remember if I ever thought of pregnancy as spiritual before I had my first miscarriage, but, after that, I realized it really does need to be a spiritual experience and it’s a shame that more people do not realize the effects that their own physical and mental state has on the baby throughout their whole life. Oh yeah and they’re also is some little bits of information that I’ve been able to find about how even the father, the physical and mental health and well-being of it developing baby in the womb. I think it’s really important that the father also takes into account his physical and mental health for at least a month leading up to actually trying to conceive. And the woman needs to start at least three months prior.

Also, children need and deserve respect and consideration right from birth. I strongly urge I anyone who actually read my long comments to look up, elimination communication, as well as the benefits of breast-feeding compared to formula feeding. I understand that there are women who do not have the time to breast-feed enough to actually keep a supply, and pumping is very taxing. If you work a full-time job or even a part-time job, hell I barely worked at all for the first few months of my first child, and I had such a hard time with pumping for a little bit of milk that I needed when I wasn’t when I actually wasn’t there. But we make sacrifices for our children and a sacrifice like breast-feeding and pumping is only for a few short months in your whole life per child.
That is, if you’re actually able to make that sacrifice, of course. It’s not just about the time in the world, it’s also about the ability to actually be able to produce the milk. There’s a lot of factors that go into new mother, not being able to produce enough milk . Doing research on supporting and promoting your own breastmilk supply is also very important when you are pregnant.
My kid is two years old and I cherish the one nursing session we have a day I do not give her more than that, even if she asked for it.but yes, really diving into the benefits of breastmilk, especially direct, contact nursing, and elimination communication. Extra points for Hypnobirthing :-)

I hope this notification finds you well. I'm feeling compelled to reach out about a personal experience, because based on what you shared in this video, I feel like you may understand, or possibly have experienced something similar.
You mentioned that at times you felt like the spirit of your baby would come in and out.. Like they were visiting or possibly preparing for their physical experience of being born.
I'm wondering if it's possible for someone to experience multiple visiting spirits, almost as if they're trying to decide if they want to choose to become reborn as this currently growing baby. It's accompanied by unusual dreams which feel more like memories that are not my own.

Spiritually speaking, the matriarchy of birthing can also begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God).
Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth). The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle.
As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8).
Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process.
In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld; her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle.
Mary's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as "Head to tail" (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12, verse 3)
To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol ♀️) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle.
Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face.
A whole temple was dedicated to Hathor (ancient Egyptian diety), who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. ruclips.net/video/J0m0zJSEFK0/видео.html
"See all women as mothers, serve them as your mother. when you see the entire world as the mother, the ego falls away. See everything as Mother and you will know God." - Neem Karoli Baba
"My son, keep thy father's commandment and forsake not the law of thy mother" - Proverbs 6 : 20
