Great idea using the shelves to make the tank! I'm sure those beautiful little fish will settle right in. I'm interested to see how the filterless design works out, it should be fine in theory with all that lava rock & sand etc and not a huge bioload.

Thanks! I had a couple of filterless blackwater tanks before and they seemed to function well as long as not overstocked, so hopefully this setup will work
