Your videos have such a high overall quality. Not just 4K, but the editing, the structure, your speaking … Very well done, as always! Keeps me wondering why your views aren’t exploding!
I just stumbled on this video and I have a Phantom 3 recently acquired in a R/C trade, I love this thing. So I am trying to learn as much as possible for video footage, thanks.
ok so #1. awesome tips, m gonna use them so well in my footage #2. u explain so well. #3. if you ever need any great cinamatic sounds, you know where to go. cheers mate.
5 drone shooting tips 1 always use a shotgun 2 never use slugs when shooting drones 3 wait for drone to stop moving when shooting them 4 too far of a distance might effect the shooting 5 give a steady aim JK, cool video.
Great tips and tricks my friend. I already started to use some of this in my videos and it really changes a lot. Now my footage is crisp and clear. Thank you for sharing with us. Cheers and have a perfect weekend.
Great stuff man, so the trick is to simply not move the left stick? I'm new to flying and can't seem to get buttery smooth shots such as shown in the video. Thanks! You've earned a sub
Nice. First flight today and I can't wait for another perspective on our channel. Will we be great for Key West - next stop on our trip. Great tips - thanks so much. Thumbs-up. -Marc
Real Strong brother, just came across your channel, loved the vid, I'm just up north from you about 30mins:) also loved the verse at your outro:) God bless:)
Finally , a good , concise, and insightful video. Gr8 job! I have tested D-Log and I loose a lot of detail ( trees and grass mushy). Have you tried another style ( art or D-cinelike) assuming you will do color correction?
Great vid. I have been doing some of these tricks but I like the one about filming in slomo while in sport mode. I'm trying that one next. I filmed a decent vid of surfing in Malibu on my channel. Keep up the good work
Hey Buddy! Amazing short little video with great tips. Saved in my playlist folder and will try out your ideas when next in the air :) Keep on doing what you´re doing! All best Joe
Ben... if you shoot in 120 fps do you have to do anything special on your editing timeline to slow it down right? (like not just the standard slow motion)
Hey Ben, Good tips...however I was thrown with your misuse of the the term "pan down". The word 'pan' is short for panorama, or shooting a scene from left to right or right to left. What you should have said was "tilt down"...moving the camera up or down
Love these reviews, very on point. I've always been in love with pretty much everything RC, currently practicing with some cheap quadcopters cause I can't spend that much money just yet :p
Hey, Thanks for your video!! But I am wondering if you have or could make a video in which you have some flight drills that we could "copy" to learn what "Good" looks like! You know some that we can practice doing ourselves. The reason that I ask is that there are tons of videos that do what you have here but none (that I can find) that show you how to do them.
Nice shots of Oceanside. my favorite subjects.. I am working on my flying and editing skills.. but you can see my view of Oceanside Pier on my channel. .I fly at the harbor often. And also on my boat for offshore fish spotting..thanks for the tips!
Excellent shooting tips! I was flying my Phantom 4 on the open ocean off of a 40 ft boat. I put the Phantom in smart track mode but only the camera tracked without the Phantom following us at 20 knots. The Phantom would elevate in place to keep our boat centered in the shot but it would not follow us. What did I do wrong?
Hello Ben, we got it!! thanks a lot after five times hehehe, did you fly P4p? i got my in Hong kong last week, too many stuff to learn, from Japan regards,
This is what videos are supposed to be like, simple and easy to understand! Keep it up man!
simple and to the point...awesome!
Thanks man
sweet, one of the few videos that gets straight to the point. love it thank you
Your videos have such a high overall quality. Not just 4K, but the editing, the structure, your speaking … Very well done, as always! Keeps me wondering why your views aren’t exploding!

+Kailash Naik - I try hard to leave out the junk ;) thanks for the sub!
AuthenTech - Ben Schmanke Do you think am ND filter is necessary on the phantom 4 pro considering that it can adjust its aperture?

Decouple the gimbal from the yaw control for smooth turns with eased starts and stops.

That's an interesting idea, I'll definitely think about it. Thanks!
Thanks for even thinking about it. Keep up the good work!

You want to use "ActiveTrack" mode. Once your subject is highlighted, make sure you hit "Go".
