It's a lot like the backlash of Marie Kondo saying she's a bit more relaxed now that she's had a 3rd kid. Folks want a set of rules to follow, clear cut, so they don't have to think too hard about it. Your website and now video content has helped me tremendously to understand what "style lines" even means, not to mention combining in it all. I created pinterest boards for me and for my sisters based pretty solely on your and the concept wardrobes explanations. Thank you for what you do.
Thank you so much, it's really nice to hear! I'm ok with constructive criticism and I just want to make sure my message is respectful to Kibbe himself and still helps people, so I'm just stepping back to re-evaluate.
I appreciate that comparison. My favorite gift from Marie Kondo was the application of Shintoism to our ownership of our things so I never interpreted her guidance as "rules" but rather a philosophy that inspires me to set some of my belongings free. Likewise, I appreciate this video because it helps cross-pollinate, so to speak, all the factors that affect style: town, age, occupation, bones, flesh, personality, etc.
I think it's awesome you're looking at criticism and using it to improve but I wanted to let you know that your videos + blogs on Kibbe have been INCREDIBLY helpful for me. I guess everyone understands things differently, but my experience with your content has been pretty opposite to what it sounds like your criticism is. I've definitely become more confident in my "home" in kibbe because of you ❤
I'm glad that my content has helped you in your style journey, that makes me so happy to hear! I just want to make sure I'm communicating a positive message with kibbe and not over scrutinizing different elements- it's important to me that I'm respecting the system I admire, so I just want to make sure I feel good about my message, but I appreciate your comment
I one hundred per cent agree with Mandy, and I really can't say what she said any better. I was really lost trying to figure out my Kibbe/Kitchener types until I came across your videos. And yes, people understand things differently, but maybe that's why I found your videos more helpful than some other people. I personally have often thought that you were better at explaining the concepts than the masters/creators themselves. On a different note, I still cannot for the life of me figure out my colour season and am starting to feel a bit sceptical about its effectiveness/accuracy. I think it might be too restrictive.
Yes, I'm another who actually didn't figure it out until coming across Gabrielle's videos! I don't understand the criticism either but there's always going to be critical people out there i guess :s
I have to say the same is true for me too! Immensely helpful and the breakdowns are easy for me to grasp, along with the numerous examples of people from all different shapes and sizes and ethnicities!
I’ve been following “Kibbe” typing for a year or so on line and to me, you are an expert. As a long time interior design professional I finally woke up one day and said, after years of questioning my practices, fine-tuning, experimenting, and listening to criticism, “I am an expert. People come to me for my advice. They don’t have to follow it. I have a natural God-given talent for visualization, strong intuition, a complete educational background, and have learned how to succeed in a difficult business, why don’t I learn to trust myself, believe in myself, and realize that this is my gift to the Universe? I believe you must do the same thing to move forward. You have a special ability to explain this difficult subject in comprehensible terms, so please keep doing what you are doing. You are the first to show sensitivity to our current culture than any of the other speakers on this topic. Keep going - you are special. ! (Hope this helps)
I know you wrote this months ago, but I just read your comment and found it both expressive and inspiring! I’m grateful that I scrolled through- Thank you for sharing your own journey!🌸✨
I've always found your approach to be nuanced, intellectual, inclusive, and fun. I never liked my style but also never vibed with "cookie cutter" rules about what I "should" wear. I like that you seem to encourage us to explore what's both flattering *and* personally satisfying. 💙
I watch a lot of Kibbe/Kitchner/Color Analysis videos and yours are the most respectful, inclusive, fun and helpful of them all. If anything, my constructive criticism is that you have too many disclaimers and are too cautious in explaining your ethos, even though your analytical reasoning and holistic intentions are already very transparent. speak your truth, you're not responsible for others' discomfort or misinterpretations. The more you acknowledge, respond and internalize backlash, the more that backlash threatens to poison the quality of your content.
Would you ever consider doing a long form video of “shopping” popular places like Mango, Zara, H&M, Shopbop, etc. for specific body types? Showing what you’d pick and what you’d avoid from one specific shop might help us understand things in a different way. You have such a talent for sharing this nuanced and complex information in a way that is easy to digest and relate to! I appreciate the time and energy you spend on creating this content.
So I'm kind of stepping back from kibbe specific content for now to re-evaluate if I'm line with Davids current message. But I'll add it to my ideas list and see if theres a way I could do that
@@Gabriellearrudadesign I commented before I got to that part of the video. I totally respect that choice. Thanks for considering my comment/suggestion anyway! Still a big fan of your content.
You don't need to apologize! I think your analytic approach to Kibbe's system is, honestly, much more workable and helpful than Kibbe's mystical, magical approach that shifts and changes with the wind and leaves people scratching their heads about what they can actually wear for year after frustrating year. A system is only as good as it is accessible and you are making it accessible. If anyone has the funds to travel to New York and see Kibbe himself by all means do so, but for those of us who don't have that option and just want some solid guideance on how to put our self-determined Kibbe ID's and essences together to create outfits your videos are a great help! Fantastic, really! I'm impressed at how you are taking the concepts I've been studying for what feels like forever now and turning them into outfits.
I have always appreciated your interpretation of the Kibbe system. I can't afford to see the man himself, and am unwilling to re-join the Simply Kibbe cult (probably the same people who feel the need to criticize your videos), so any info that helps me decipher this insanely complex and often seemingly random system is welcome. I also appreciate that you have never held yourself up as an "expert" or "guru".
Thank you, I'm glad you found it helpful! I just want to be respectful of the system I admire and try to help spread the word in a positive manner, so I'm trying to step back and make sure I'm doing that
@@alteredcatscyprus they're Kibbe authoritarians. Both the current US GOP and the CCP are authoritarian alarmists. There's a reason Orwell's 1984 was banned in both the US and China. The US claimed it was communist propaganda, and China claimed it was anti-communist. What both countries have in common? Authoritarian nationalism and fascism disguised as national values.
Thank you for taking people's feedback and thinking about it! Out of all the people talking about Kibbe, Kitchener, colours and fashion, you are the one who truly thinks about what people really want and need and how to work it with our feelings and aesthetics. You are one of the least reductive and most easy to understand people on RUclips. I appreciate your content a lot.
Your videos are packed with so much substance and I appreciate that! I do not think your content has been “chaotic neutral.” You insert plenty of disclaimers and are clear this is your perspective. Your insights and opinions are wonderful to hear. Like you, I was attracted to gamine style but lost interest in style for a long time because I was buying things that didn’t make me feel good when I wore them. I believe I have classic, dramatic and romantic essences so gamine pieces clashed with these “more mature” essences. I now find ways to incorporate whimsical but still classic elements into my outfits which still fulfills that attraction to playfulness and I know what pieces to buy (turtle necks are the best!) to make me feel comfortable and more like myself. Body type: 5’7, curvy with sharper bones (possibly SD) Essence blend: classic, dramatic, and romantic Color pallet: soft summer pallet is best, but can shift into soft autumn as well
I've never had a problem with how you presented kibbe info (not that I'm an expert), but by far my favorite videos of yours is your personal style videos. Taking pictures of my outfits every day has been the single most helpful thing for me! And I would love to see more videos on you helping people find outfits inspired from their style/mood boards, regardless of whether kibbe image IDs are part of it or not.
Your explanation of Kibbe is the best I've ever seen. I did not get it until I watched your videos. Edit: In fact, your explanation of Kibbe set me free. I had been trying to do what all short and rounded, curvy women are told to do, wear elongating long lines, don't show your ankles because it emphasizes your shortness, and wear lots of black and dark colors. lol Then I found Kibbe and wasn't getting it until I watched your videos. I was trying to turn a Romantic body into a Dramatic or Classic body. Does not work, trust me. Then you explained that my Romantic body was a thing! I don't have to try and change my body to look anything else but short, narrow shoulders, rounded edges with my hourglass figure and "fleshiness.". And the color recommendations from Kibbe were also freeing, along with the recommendation to sparkle. I am transforming my look into something that I love and something that really reflect me instead of trying to be something I'm not. I am wearing less black, more navy, more white and oyster, pale pink, and I always have a patent-leatther item or some dainty, sparkling jewelry on. Swapped my double-breasted tan trench for a single-breasted shiny oyster colored one and the effect is remarkable. I will be forever thankful for your Kibbe videos, even the ones in which you were overfitting.
Reading between the lines (and I could be wrong) it seems like the criticism was more like SK admonishing you for misrepresenting them. Your response is very classy and respectful. That said, I’ve always seen you as someone with this style toolbox, never as a Kibbe creator. I hope you can still keep talking about essences and proportions. Also, I think you’re very magical and did not lose any magic in your delivery. You give more detailed information than anyone else. Sending love and thanks for the great vid.❤
What l’ve especially learned from you is why something doesn’t look so good on me. That’s been super duper helpful and saved me so much money and frustration. I’m just so so grateful!!
I don’t think you have been overfitting or whatever the critics were at all! I love your videos on Kibbe and Kitchener! They have been illuminating and I have had so many aha-moments. Please continue making them! If people don’t like them or feel «boxed in» then watch something else. Let us that love this continue to watch it!
For what its worth, I found your channel and website already knowing my ID and mostly knowing my Kitchener Essences, but you really helped me figure out how to practically apply those concepts! The practical application is what was missing for me and you delivered, this video is a prime example! I love that you're analytical because I feel like it greatly compliments the abstact and artistic manner Kibbe presents in. You're bridging the gap. I respect your decision, and also really appreciate that you're leaving prior helpful content up. There are a lot of Kibbe youtubers out there but you're the only one I feel confident recommending to friends. Thanks for all you have done!
I don't understand the criticism. Your series had helped me learn so much about Kibbe and Kitchner systems. I love the fact you go so much in detail. Who knew fashion had a nerdy side? It blows my mind that there is so much to learn about. No, not everyone has to or should adhere to any system but knowing certain things may allow you to reach an A ha moment about why do you gravitate towards something, and encourage you to lean into something that you might not have considered, i.e a style of dress etc. Please never stop, cause as Taylor Swift put it so succinctly: hater gonna hate hate hate (:. Love everything you have put out there. (Dark Winter/ Dramatic essence,/soft dramatic (kibbe). Like dark academia/ put together looks.
Wow, what a wonderfully thorough video. Your videos especially on essences have been really helpful. I'm having a lifestyle change and my wardrobe is at a crossroads and it's really tricky finding out my new uniform. I don't really have a profession but my current clothes are fairly smart and creative from my art gallery days (I am also lacking basics). But my current style is sitting around feminine, trustworthy and earthy. I like the earthier styles from cottage core, some preppy, motherly vibe a bit soft but also structured. I love midi skirts! I would like versatile outfits that are good for chasing a toddler, tending sheep, church and brunches. I am likely TR with Classic Essence, then Natural and a smidge ethereal (like make up, jewellery). I am also a soft autumn with long hair. I think naturally Kibbe stuff comes with some confusion to everyone who hasn't read him directly. But these videos are still very helpful for collating ideas and getting practical inspiration.
You're content has been very helpful for me. I'm not a style purist, but understanding my body type and essence blend as well as color typing has taken my fashion sense to the next level. My closet finally has a cohesive palette and a blend of items that I truly enjoy wearing. As I thrift the majority of my clothing, my Pinterest fashion board has been great inspo. As a soft natural with a classic/romantic essence blend my neutrals are denim, olive green, khaki and brown. Comfort and ease of movement are key but finding a flattering fit and outfit balance pulled it together for me. You're examples are great and I appreciate all the time and effort you put into your videos. ~Thank you
I hope that you surround yourself with other public figures who have experience dealing with the public as quite frankly, the criticism isn’t always coming from a clean heart but rather their own frustrations etc. Your content is great; I hope that you don’t quit sharing Kibbe content. Sure it’s supposed to be about the overall look but your view is valuable
Thank you very much, that's nice to hear! I plan to re-evaluate the focus of my message, and the style of content- I want to share my opinion while respecting the original system and Kibbe, himself.
These systems have helped me to overcome my body dysmorphia and to love what I got, when I got it! (my weight is in flux) My best guess - using your tools - is that I am a true summer color pallete and kibbe romantic (or possible theatrical romantic/soft gamine) with the following essences: Classic 33%, Gamine 23%, Ingenue 18%, Natural 16%, Romantic 7% - hopefully I'll be able to narrow this information down but it's already clicking as to why certain things have felt "not right" and other items feel so good. I'm training my eye and upgrading my wardrobe to match a recent promotion alongwith my uphill journey towards being my truest and bestest self! Thanks for all that you do, Gabrielle! I would love to see more content around my particular combinations in the future!!!!!
I only discovered the Kibbe concept 2 days ago. I’m 56 and I’ve been working in fashion for almost 15 yrs and had NEVER heard of it. After jumping down the rabbit hole, I came across your channel. Your videos have so much clarity and I’ve loved how you incorporate Kitchener’s Essences. This made so much sense (especially percentages) and I’ve just done a deep dive into my wardrobe and discovered exactly where I’ve been going wrong. I’ve always had a good sense of what my style is, but looking back at images I can see some of the tweaks I could have made. After all that said, please don’t beat yourself up about “doing a disservice “. You clearly state when it’s your opinion and I love that you tell people not to box themselves in. That makes you wise beyond your years in my eyes and I’ll definitely be tuning in again and again and using what I’ve learned when styling clients. A huge thanks to you 🤍
it's always good to take a step back from something you've invested a lot of thought into so you can see the bigger picture again, but that doesn't mean the deep dives aren't of value either! always good to have a balance, can't wait to see what content you go for :) and love the style guiding as always!!
Of course- deep diving is great, I think it’s just finding the value of what works for you once you have the info and not trying to apply every bit of info 👍🏻👍🏻
Hello Gabrielle, I was almost in tears when watching the last part of this video. Thank you for graciously taking what I hope was constructive criticism. But I have to say that your videos have given me so much clarity and information on this crazy Kibbe subject. Thank you for sharing your hard work with us. I watch other Kibbe content creators and to the best of my knowledge they, like you, have mentioned not to get caught up in the minute details of a given body part when trying to determine Kibbe body ID. Kibbe himself, from what I’ve read, changes his own parameters. So to sum this up, remember that you can’t please everyone all of the time. If someone doesn’t like it, go somewhere else (there are many other Kibbe content creators), or start your own Kibbe philosophy. Gabrielle, you do an excellent job, I love your channel 💕💕!
I would LOVE to see deep dives on the 12 seasonal color analysis like you did for Kitchener. It would be cool to see Kibbe body and Kitchener essence examples in the colors for each season. Because I can’t help but feel some colors invoke more of one essence than another does. For instance I’m finding it very difficult to find examples for SA ingenue or SA Dramatic if that makes sense. I feel like colors themselves throw off vibes that we instinctively associate with certain essences. Like I see a lot more Natural essence clothing for SA then any other essence. And more dramatic and classic essence for the winters. Just a thought. I would love to hear your interpretation of it all, especially since your blog posts on the 12 seasons are very informative.
Gabrielle, I love that you’re taking criticism and using it as an opportunity for growth, rather than getting snotty or snarky about it. I absolutely love your content, and respect you even more, for this! I think I saw myself in one of your examples (Audrey) and I think you got me 100%! I would definitely wear everything f you suggested (I love those plaid pants) - and I already wear my hair like Marilyn! Woman, you are GOOD!
Gabrielle, your Kibbe videos have been extremely helpful. I am a “new” person because of them, I now have a style which is true to my essence and I love it❤. Honestly, I do not see a disservice on your behalf.
I want to say that your series helped me so much as a very dysmorphophobic ed survivor. I am very passionate about fashion and love to help my friends with moodboards, or to pick up "the" clothing item that will make them shine, but I myself have been wearing oversised basics for years because of crippling anxieties when it comes to dressing myself. I have been babystepping towards building myself a new wardrobe for a few years now, and only recently did I dare to buy some items that feel a bit more like myself. It sure is a journey but your passion, intelligence and kindness have been really helpful since the beginnings of your channel. (Just in case, I'm a dark automn SC with classic, natural and ingenue essence. I am a full-time writer and artist + I renovate an old appartment. I am going 30 but look 20, which can make it hard to feel both internally and externally age appropriate. I gravitate towards timeless, softly academic/artistic looks - something along the lines of the dark academia silhouette but more fluid and less codified in the palette, with possibly some patterns and rock'n'roll, contemporary dance or equestrian vibes (I do ride). I like 70's and mediterranean influences too. To sum it up I like something that incorporates a bit of looseness but feels clean, with a gently androgynous/classic/art-critic feels. I am also learning to make an outfit look more elevated/polished.)
I think you should be so proud of the steps in your own style journey and the courage to start finding items that feel like you. That's a massive step, and is so inspiring to hear. I've added your parameters tothe list. (very cool inspo!)
@@Gabriellearrudadesign You just made my day : ) ! Thank you. I don't think I would be half that far into this journey if it was not for knowledgeable people like you, who help me slowly reeducate my eye. Not everyone realizes what a difference inclusive style philosophies can make.
Actually, your (extremely thorough and wonderful) essence videos combined with your videos on "how to dress your body type" and proportions helped me realize I didn't really NEED Kibbe. I know it's everyone's tool du jour, but you can get pretty far identifying which parts of your body you want to highlight and applying your essences and preferences there. Kibbe does provide an easy shortcut to talking about our bodies, but it's not the end all be all. Once I figured out I wanted to highlight the narrowness and vertical and de-emphasize my bust on my 5'5 frame, I stopped caring about Kibbe altogether. All this to say, it will probably do all of us some good to apply some subjectivity to our bodies instead of obsessively trying to fit into boxes. And knowing what you know about design, you're equipped to teach folks how to highlight their best/fav features just fine without anybody's framework. You got this ;-)
Additionally (b/c I 'm still thinking about this), transitioning toward a non-Kibbe language for bodies is probably good for you as a stylist/creator anyway. Not saying you make up your own "system," but applying your more contemporary lens (appearing on Project Runway in 2015 >>>>>>>> writing a book in the 1980s) to dressing the bodies we have would be a refreshing alternative for people frustrated/confused by Kibbe.
All the style parameters have helped me to home in on my best self and my authentic expression. Thank you for helping me with this. I recognize that not all of the beautiful clothes are for me, just the ones that make me feel like myself beautifully. It's a gift to have parameters.
I'm so sad that you don't want to do more Kibbe content! I just discovered you and within 2 days of watching your videos, I finally understand how it all works. Your content helped me tremendously. Kibbe doesn't explain his work very well and often makes it all even more confusing, but when you speak about it - suddenly it makes sense. I feel like we are losing a really helpful resource here and I'm honestly pretty sad about this... 🥺 I very much hope that you decide to continue, your videos transformed my understanding of fashion and made things click. I suddenly feel comfortable and confident when previously I hated everything I wore. That is all you, girl. So thank you. Maybe you just need to hear more from the people you are helping, because you aren't hurting people, you are clarifying the Kibbe confusion, and he isn't doing it himself! 😣 We need you!
I really really appreciate your side comment/troubleshooting. I've been following your videos with interest, learned a lot, and I can tell you're passionate about developing these concepts into modern culture and helping people apply them for themselves. When one shows that the matter itself is more important than the ego (being right, for example), it shows a lot of maturity and that your heart is in the right place. While I didn't personally notice there were specific ways you might have skewed the information, I think your desire to improve the application of--let's admit it--quite complex ideas and concepts, reinforces my respect and interest in following your channel on this topic. It might be a bit of time until I get to see another video from you about Kibbe (honestly probably the system I understand the least well so far), but I'm looking forward to it already.
@@Gabriellearrudadesignplease can you make a subreddit and upload the worksheets and templates to it? the links never work for me and it would be incredibly useful to have everything in one place
This series is so helpful! I am a soft classic with natural, dramatic and classic essences. I’m a warm autumn but I’d like to stay away from navy blues. My style is about comfort, but in a more messy grunge way, instead of exercise leggings way. I wear a lot of t-shirts and jeans but I’d like to elevate my outfits for the office and for my age, which is almost 30. Thanks again for this exceptional series!
This series is so helpful, please keep making it. I struggle to be creative with looks and end up wearing a variation of the same look again and again. My issue at the moment is I've just changed jobs from a relaxed outdoors based job to an office based job at a University. It's quite cold at the moment and I'm tending to wear black skinny jeans, black boots, a black jumper, black coat and black bag with a colourful top but I want to use more colour and less black in my wardrobe. I'm a bright spring and kibbe theatrical romantic and I have ingenue, romantic and classic essence. I'd like to be seen as intelligent, approachable and feminine but I tend to be seen as young and sweet. My only non negotiable is no trainers or high heels. I'm also not a big fan of wearing jewellery; a small silver necklace is about as much as I wear. If you could help me out I'd really appreciate it. Xx
I’m a Kibbe dramatic with gamine, ingenue and dramatic essences (in this order) and my color season is deep winter. I’m a diver so I love the mermaidcore. I like my clothes cute, playful but somehow sophisticated and discrete at the same time. Taylor Swift in 2012 and 2013 is one of my fashion inspirations. Thank you so much for these videos, they’re so helpful and inspiring 🤍
I am a kibbe soft natural with Natural, Ingenue and romantic essence. My colour season is soft summer. I love effortless and simple outfits with an edge (Like Kate Moss's outfits for example). Since I am a high school junior the outfits should be age- and school apropriate. Thank you for this is series, it is very helpful!
I've watched many RUclips on kibbe...and I think you're awesome...over fitting or not. Love your videos and analysis. No apologies needed..you have added value to my understanding. Thank you and please continue your content.
Gabby you are a star. Obviously you’ve reflected on some criticism - don’t over analyse that. You bring a lot of clarity to this topic and have always been clear that you are giving your interpretation. Don’t be undermined by kibbe loyalists. I hated the Facebook group. It was boring and you never are.
These are truly my favorite videos right now. They seem like a lot of work so I just wanted to say how much I appreciate them. I find them so inspiring. Thanks you :)
I will keep watching in a second but i have to say, this top is SO stunning on you! The fit and fabric and especially the sage green are all so gorgeous.
Also Gaby, just wanted to say I find the way you communicate very refreshing ❤ it’s easy to see how passionate you are about people and not just fashion- I really appreciate your videos and your honesty xxx much love and can’t wait for the next one, whichever direction you choose to take 😙
i'm a soft dramatic with ethereal essence. my color season is soft summer and my goal is to look magical mysterious and put-together but also grounded. i like to wear clothes that are modest and do not restrict movement (and are comfrotable) and soft fabrics and flat shoes. i'm inspired by nature, spring, cottagecore, fairytales and stories like chroniches of narnia, ghibli or anne of green gables and i like celestial motifs like suns, moons and stars, especially for jewerly. i'm also a college student (business major) so i would like my look to represent quiet confidence since i am very introverted. also, i just wanted to say thank you so much for making these videos. i find them extremely helpful❤🦋
Your content is great, and I'm really surprised by those critics! Personally, I was never confused by your manners 🥺 I'll keep following your content, not matter Kibbe or any orher personal style aspect ✨
no way! Your Kibbe content has been so helpful! Your insight and depth of study into these nuanced details has been so eye opening, please don't appologize for anything! Your videos are amazing and I can tell so much passion and care goes into each one! You're inspirational!!
I’m a FN soft summer with angelic&natural essence in my late 20s. It is easy for me to find “dressed up looks”, I struggle to find “everyday” outfits for days off work & casual/non-fancy dates with my bf that would still compliment me. I keep saving parisian chic looks on Pinterest.
I have loved your approach and representation of kibbe. You make it feel easier to understand and follow. We are all here because we are enjoying your take on the different styles and how to Como and showcase just how easy it can be. Don’t stop doing what you do best. Keep on Kibbe.
I love David Kibbe, he literally changed my life, and as David's fan, I can tell that I love your articles and videos, they are awesome and so artistic 😍 Sending you hugs and compassion. I'm looking forward for the next videos! Especially 😅 with my combo advice. Meanwhile, I will go and work on the mood boards... hopefully it will help me with the overfitting I'm dealing with: knowing all the types and archetypes and seasons and not only not getting the line but also collapsing on that 9th order equation I'm trying to solve each time in my head, while trying to think of my style. No, it wasn't you who confused me, I was already deeply confused when I found you. Your videos help me make sense out all this, specifically by examples of blending it all together into beautiful, functional and appropriate outsits. Xoxo! You're the best!
So inspiring! It's refreshing to see real people examples and not just celebrity examples. I have already comment in other videos to ask you for some tips on how to combine or identify in oneself the different essences, it would be of great help 👏
i adore these videos so much i find myself rewatching these a few times just for daily inspiration! my parameters are Soft Classic, dark winter with romantic and natural essence. my hardest part in getting dressed is dressing for cold and wet weather while still keeping the clean silhouette i need as a soft classic :/ i feel like i’m always having to ignore my personal “experimental punk meets dark bohemian” style for the sake of being weather appropriate and therefore comfortable. im non-kibbe petite and have major “resting nice face” so my goal is also to look a little off putting lol
Some unsolicited advice from another SC - i got a wool undershirt (from Icebreaker) at the start of the year and it's life-changing. It was a splurge but it's completely changed what I can wear because it is SO warm. Same goes for fleece-lined tights/leggings (or wool ones). You don't need thick/bulky clothes in cold weather, just warmer fibers.
You're a very, good communicator, smart, funny and totally non-patronising (although you also speak quite fast for those that English isn't a first language 😁) I'm enjoy learning about others' body types and essences as well as my own. I'm a dramatic classic but have moody swings in terms of essences and style refs. I'm also a Spring that wears black and 'too' dark colours and won't be told. Love to you ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
I recently discovered your channel and binged-watched your videos, and for what is worth I never thought you were trying to overfit the systems, at least deliberately, all the advice you give comes from a place of trying to help others with their style, and sometimes to do that one has to make the abstract more concrete, and it's very obvious you have huge respect for these systems, so don't be too hard on yourself! I think your content is really informative, creative and also fun (your editing must take so much effort, but it is definitely appreciated!), and because you have such great sense of style (not just for your own ID and personal expression, but also for eg., when you showcase other IDs on yourself, it's spot on and so well put together that to me every outfit looks amazing, regardless of typing) and most importantly you have so much fun with fashion that it really inspired me to have fun with fashion expression as well, and find my own styles that make me feel great. Anyway, that was a long-winded way to say I really like your content, and appreciate your thoughtfulness and imagination--keep rocking! :)
Hi, I'm a cool winter, natural essence with classic and romantic. I love the neutral colors and polished look of classic style, but find it a challenge to look polished, especially since I prefer relaxed and comfort. I love jeans plus a tee shirt, or a soft knit. I love interesting details, like a bright pop of color, a bit of lace, or texture, maybe something slightly edgy.Nothing too formal or complicated. I only wear flats, no heels. I would like to have an outfit that can look polished and feminine but be easy to wear since I work from home. And if it can work for zoom meetings and running errands. My style board was " soft, polished, feminine, fresh, interesting details." My biggest challenge is looking pulled together and polished, but still make it easy. Thank you! Your videos are so helpful and I just completed the closet clean out. ❤
Thank you for your content! I am analytical too and you have been able to say everything in a way that makes so much more sense to me. Thank you! Your videos where you go over essences and pulling it all together and the style map are my favorite. Finding these systems have let me spend money on clothes better because I’m not just buying whatever I am attracted to at random, but am understanding what looks good on me and WHY. So many times I have had a top or an outfit and I’m like oh this is great but then when I try to reproduce the vibe or get a piece of clothing that is something similar I realize I didn’t know why it worked and it’s hard to get lucky twice. I’ve also been able to see my body better past my own insecurities and dysmorphia. Now I feel like I know why an outfit works and if I will like an article of clothing and can confidently invest in higher quality clothes and more environmental ethical brands as I fill in wardrobe gaps without just having to hope I get lucky with the picks. Please do more style map and creating outfits that incorporate those elements! Also a request- more about ways to make the more yin IDs professional and business casual looks. I am a 8th grade math teacher and a mom of toddlers but a soft dramatic and it’s hard to walk that line between confident but not too sexy, and modest but not frumpy. And I can’t walk it in heels because I am on my feet and going ALL DAY lol.
Ohh this is great! I am a warm autumn soft natural with natural essence but I am really into a more glam rock aesthetic. My ideal style would have the adjectives unique & "everyday glam rock" if that's a thing (like Vic de Angelis, or 70s groupies). Would love some help with an everyday outfit like this. Thank you!
Thank you so much for following up on my request for suggestions of what to wear to art openings! I love the outfit and will try to find something similar. What I really love about your suggestions are that I could imagine wearing all of these pieces with other pieces in my wardrobe, so the pieces are not one-off. They're both practical and elegant. Thanks again! Gratefully, "Charlotte"
"Emilia's" style really encompasses much of my own, it was super helpful to see your approach to that, blending those style priorities. Everything kibbe is such a mine field right now, you are obviously very emotionally intelligent but I'm sure it's difficult to navigate.
Oh my gosh, I loved the ending. I was definitely overfitting my personal style. Especially as someone who is turning 40 in a couple months I kept thinking "I'm a soft natural, but I looked so cute in my Amelie/ gamine phase at 22!" lol. And I don't think I have an ethereal essence but I do like to dress like a friendly woodland elf sometimes 😆 whatever kind of videos you make, I'll be watching!
Hey Gabby, I love your videos and the website content. I'm a soft dramatic with dramatic, natural and ingenue essences so my closet has always been a bit all over the place! But your content has really helped me figure out what I feel and look good in. And equally importantly, saved me a lot of money from buying things that don't fit my style for one reason or another. I know you feel like you need to retool but just know you have been super helpful!
I have been trying to figure out my kibbe id for over a decade and pouring over all the content I could find. I have found the few videos I have watched of yours much more applicable and had much more success finding things that work for me and understanding my lines....don't be so hard on yourself!
Gaby you have helped me IMMENSELY in just being more careful about my purchases and buying more flattering clothes - period. I'm currently on tenterhooks waiting for your Spring Capsule (fingers crossed it's coming). I'm 50 years old, 6'1, soft dramatic, soft autumn, 60% natural, 30% romantic, 10% classic, work in a casual office environment and basically only wear flats. I would seriously pay you money each season for a few outfit ideas. LOVE all of your content. xx
I binged watched almost all your videos in the past few days and started the outfit challenge, I did my personal brand map, my history list and I want to thank you! All your videos helped me get out of my comfort zone, try out new things, discover my essences that truly surprised me and got my spark back. For years I was lost and anxious and stubborn about fashion. I felt it was a stupid thing and clothes were just clothes. Well…… they are not! It’s incredible how seeing from one day to another and with each outfit how confident I became because I trust myself enough to actually create an outfit and not just put some clothes on. I can’t put this into words how much this means to me. It was a blessing in disguise when I found your videos. Oh, and did I mention I started this only 4 days ago? Thank you so so much!!!!
Haha I’m so glad the binge was helpful! And what amazing progress. It’s wonderful to hear how your relationship or view of clothes has grown. So excited for your style journey! Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need any help along the way 🥰👍🏻👍🏻
I love u for clearing out the confusion. I’ve learnt a lot from this video myself. Now I get the real meaning of his book metamorphosis. I feel like kibbe subreddit can be low key ineffective.
This is my favorite series of yours and I love how thoughtful you are both in taking into consideration all of the commenter's style parameters and needs as well as the section in the end responding to criticism!! You're so clearly passionate about what you do. I'm a soft gamine and I'm uncertain of my essences but I think it's some blend of ethereal, classic, and maybe a little bit of natural. I'm a deep winter. My personal style inspiration veers toward the moody, sultry, and dramatic, and my style map would involve Morticia Addams, Old Hollywood femme fatale, 70s rock glam, 60s Parisian girl, and a touch of cyperpunk or military-inspired. I have yet to feel like I understand how to dress within soft gamine lines and also incorporate my essences/personal style. In general, I'd like to look cool and unique, in flattering clothes, especially as I often feel like while I really liked the outfit I styled, it looks off on *me*. Some outfits that are office appropriate but not boring would be appreciated (I'm so tired of business casual!!!), and I live in a cold city with snowy winters, if that helps.
I love these types of videos! It's so inspiring and exciting to see someone else's vision and tips regarding style perimeters especially when going through a style rut. I am a slightly underweight flamboyant natural with a slightly defined waist. I'm 5ft9 and love to emphasize my height. I have a predominantly natural essence with some gamine and Ingenue sprinkled in. I'm a cool summer with sandy blonde hair and pale skin. I like to look approachable and don't take myself too seriously so I love casual 70s and 90s inspo. I am studying journalism/broadcasting and photography so looking somewhat put-together is a must but outside of more professional areas, I don't like restrictive clothing and have a knack for getting dirty when I'm out and about (hiking, running around downtown or the countryside, etc.). :)
Gabrielle, all of your videos have been SO helpful. Your channel is extremely informative and I haven't seen anything like this anywhere else on RUclips! I have learned a lot about my style with your videos so thank you for all your work! My style parameters: flamboyant gamine, deep winter. Essences are gamine, dramatic and maybe a bit of classic? When I think about how I want to appear, I think creative, unique, quirky, confident, but also put-together. But apparently, my style vision board ended up having a lot of Parisian inspo as well. I'm struggling with my casual outfits - most of my wardrobe is basic pieces and I feel like I usually look boring and unoriginal. I'm a musician and I also need stage outfits, and I have a hard time making outfits that are interesting, sort of attention grabbing, but also not too revealing and that feel like 'me'. Wardrobe non-negotiables are: comfort, durability. Thank you
I can’t express how much it made happy to see you style my parameters. It made so much sense with clothes I already have and outfits inspiration I’d save. Your videos help so much with my style journey. I try to translate and synthesize it to my sister who is also on a style journey. I love the concept of style maps and with my sister we share are own and try to understand it into outfits. I would love another video going into details about style maps. Thank you so much for your hard work PS : I love how inclusive you are it’s so refreshing
Ah, this makes me so happy!! I always wonder if the person sees their outfit or not, and its exciting to hear it lined up with what you like. I think style mapping might be next! And thank you for submitting your parameeters
1st things 1st… you deserve to have 100K+ followers. 2nd.. I lost over 80 pounds several years ago. I went ALL in on this. In NYC, I got “typed” by the absolute authority. Soft Classic here, who is a light spring. I know that it will sound superficial, however leaning this was just the beginning. I know feel like I fully know and understand myself. I’m 44 years old. It was worth the wait ❤
Girl, this series is *chefs kiss! If you ever decide to another vid, I'm a Kibbe romantic, Kitchener ingenue / romantic with a slight touch of ethereal, a soft autumn, and my main words are: distinguished, bright, and iconic. I admire the hell out of Marilyn Monroe, and I absolutely need an everyday outfit that matches my style and possibly a cute, sexy going-out outfit if possible. I'm an entrepreneur and author in the making, so nothing too fancy, but I do like being known for what I do, and I want that represented in my personal style as well. My style priorities are also comfort, easy to throw in the wash, and honours my body in a flattering way. (I'm bordering on plus-size but trying to lose weight.) Seriously though, thank you for everything you do. You rock, Gabrielle! (Also I'm genderfluid, use they / them pronouns and dislike anything too feminine.) Love the boho style and I'm inspired by Lily James from Mamma Mia 2 lol, and I'd love to send you my style map too :)
I don’t know about everyone else but your channel is like a safe little island of practical style information for me. Where I don’t have to be pushed into a tall hourglass box if I am really short and soft. I was typed as 50% romantic, 20% natural, 20% youthful, 10% classic. My color selections were 60% lively bright, 30% striking contrast, 10% earthy rich. No oranges, bright white, or cool purples for me. I love color and print, especially folk style prints, but don’t want prints that are aging. I live in a really hot climate and work outside a lot but still have to wear business casual, no shoulders or knees exposed, (collar or blouse no tee shirts.) I want my look to be fun, feminine, and relaxed.
I have struggled with style all my life, I love almost everything so that in itself is an overwhelming problem. Supposedly , I’m a natural classic with romantic & gamine….. sounds like a prescription for psychosis Knowing that however makes me feel somewhat better. Gives me an excuse to validate some odd outfits I’ve worn. I’m short , bottom heavy and old , just to make it harder of course. I doubt I’ll ever have a true personal style but maybe being natural classic is just the excuse I need. I wish I could afford a stylist to help , in the meantime I’ll jump into my flowy floral gown , put my hair up in a loose bun and carry on. Thank you for what you do, it’s very appreciated.
I recently discovered your videos and love them!! You do a wonderful job of communicating about something that to me is abstract - fashion & personal style - and have made it make sense finally. I'm excited to try out things you suggest & looking forward to any future content. Plus your videos are fun to watch. :-)
This was so much to watch!! Im a true autumn and flamboyant natural. I love wearing comfortable, oversized, modest, soft clothing, and mostly wear my true autumn neutral colors. I avoid patterns and blazers as I don’t feel it’s my style. I’m really into Korean street style. I’m also a college student and would love to present myself as relaxed and confident :)
I find Kibbe very limiting as a system and have found the blend of Kibbe with Kitchener as well as other body typing systems to be much more helpful. Hoping you will do more with personal style content in spite of stepping back from kibbe! x
Thank you so much for this video, it's really helpful for understanding how to incorporate different elements into an outfit :) Also I really love that cottagecore tote bag
I love your content, and gosh I have a lot of feelings about your thoughts at the end. I understand and appreciate that Kibbe’s body typing system is David Kibbe’s intellectual property and at the end of the day only he is an authority on it. On the other hand, there is a lot of gatekeeping within the Kibbe community (including the SK group) and ultimately it is about peoples’ own bodies. It shouldn’t be difficult to access. That’s problematic. As an entry point, for me personally, learning about it from an inclusive perspective, a fellow mom and from someone who attempts to make it more accessible is just much more useful and interesting to me. I do still appreciate what you are saying in terms of taking a step back and I’m excited to see your new content! I really hope you leave up the work you’ve already done because it has been so helpful for me. In terms of the overfitting, I feel that. Having grown up in the 90s, there were a lot of negative elements of the way the fashion industry impacted our lives but I really miss the glossies. There were only so many pages and so many trends and a handful of takes on them. It was so simple! Now the amount of fashion information at our fingertips is truly overwhelming. As a woman who is privileged enough to be able to choose what I buy most of the time, I try to stick to a few content creators that I feel provide a good intellectual and aesthetic compass but respect their viewers’ individuality as well. Thanks for being one of them!! Sorry for the essay. You rock! Thanks for your work 🎉
Thank you so much! I agree there is a lot of gatekeeping, and I think there might be a better way for Kibbe himself to funnel new clients outside the SK group alone. But I just want to make sure I'm respecting him and his system with my message. I think it can ultimately be a really great style tool. And totally agree with growing up in the 90's- the fashion stimuli continues to explode, it can be daunting. I'm honored to be one of those creators, tahnk you!
This was so helpful! Here are my parameters. I am a slim soft dramatic, I am not very busty but I am quite curvy at my glutes/hips. I have strong ingénue essence followed by ethereal then romantic essences. I’m mixed race and a soft summer. Currently I only wear black and white and very occasionally wear colour. However I realised too much black looks too harsh on me. I practically dress like Wednesday Addams, I even have the same haircut 😂 I have a disability so I find comfort important and cannot wear flat shoes. platforms and doc martens are the best for me. I want to be able to blend my essences, Kibbe and colour season cohesively as that is what I have been struggling with. I enjoy the cottagecore, Korean, feminine and gothic/dark romantic aesthetics. I recently graduated uni and just want some nice everyday outfits to walk the dog or see friends and evening outfits. I love wearing dresses and I love wearing blouses and shirts. I also am allergic to the cold and live in London, so I also need help with cold weather options because I usually look like the michelin man in winter.
Even though my style parameters weren’t here, it was so helpful to see your process with other people- it showed me how to approach my own wardrobe as a stylist and not someone trying to “find” my style in the kibbe rules. I appreciate the time you put into this video so much and I’d love to hear your take on my style parameters: I’m a flamboyant natural with Natural, Gamine, Ethereal essences, colour palette is a bit tricky for me but I think I’m a soft autumn. I like street style and sporty looks, but I also want to look put-together and have clothes that transition well to business-casual work. I don’t like purses or dresses/skirts, and I generally like androgynous comfortable styles that aren’t shapeless.
You helped me understand the kibbe system a lot better and helped me focusing on the for me important parts. With adding the essences and the colour systems I have more guidance and I can find more ways to show my best side (to feel comfortable wearing different clothes for different occasions with my personal signature). My wardrobe is a basic b*tch. I feel with your content I can find signature pieces and pieces to create a individual, harmonious and effortless look... I'm almost sad that you felt the need to add the last part of this video. For me your videos aren't just very informative and helpful but also so fun and creative. Thank you for all of them, after the newest one I'll go to your Pinterest account, your Instagram account and your website. I lost my interest in fashion over the last years a bit but now I'm on fire 😁
Honestly your videos have been instrumental in my style journey, understanding or even finding kibbe's theory. I've still got a long way to go, but your videos have been both informative and a lot of fun for me! Even my mother who has been uninterested in fashion for as long as I can remember loves your videos and is learning so much about style and her own clothing preferences thanks to your content. She's even started making her style maps, and we watch every video you post together as soon as we see it's been released - we make an event if it. Snacks, get cozy, grab the cat to watch too! If you're still open to parameters, I'd love to see your thoughts and ideas on my criteria! I'm plus size - unsure if I'm a flamboyant gamine or a soft gamine. A few people have suggested I'm a FG (traditionally curvy but no Kibbe curve was their argument). I've got a strong gamine essence, with ingenue and romatic [recent change/reassigned thanks to group vote] (though I much prefer highlighting the gamine essence over the ingenue). Im also a cool winter. I'm starting my career in writing and editing, so I need a closet that shows how creative and intelligent I am, but is also approachable. My spare time is mostly spent playing group games (like dnd) and time with my partner. Aesthetics I enjoy are playful punk elements, witchy academia (eg Netflix sabrina), and some celestial motifs. Celebrities who's styles I enjoy are Lily Collins, Emma Watson, and Upsahl. I hope I didn't go overboard in this description!
Thank you Gaby for what you do, your content is helping me a lot with my style issues and these videos are a great source of inspiration! I'd like to share my parameters: I'm a 35 yo teacher+mom of a toddler. FN + natural-dramatic-classic essence, soft autumn. I love boho and french chic/ effortless style, but I struggle whenever I try to build more elegant or formal outfits (i do not wear heels). In general I'd like to come across as friendly, but also sophisticated and a bit sensual. Take care and keep up the good work!
This is so helpful, thank you for putting these together! My style parameters: I am a dramatic classic with natural and etherial essence (people have told me I look a bit like an elf (think Galadriel), I've also heard I look like I'm from a different time like from ancient Greece). I think I am a true autumn, I have long and wavy blonde hair and tend to wear colours like beige, moss green or burnt red. I like styles that are simple, elegant and timeless, but also have some personality. I am inspired by Scandinavian and Japanese interior design but also love, when element are taken from nature like with art-nouveau-styles. I work as a therapist, so I would like to look put together, professional and confident, yet still approachable, friendly and down to earth. I only wear flat shoes, clothes need to be comfortable for me to wear them, I am very active and move around quite a lot. I'm also very pear shaped, so I struggle to find pants or skirts that don't throw of my balance. I would really appreciate your input, thank you so much!
I love your videos! They help me to understand where I fit into and to feel comfortable to show it. I'm a soft classic with a cool winter pallette, my main essences are ingenue, classic and natural. I am going to school to be a dietitian and love going to the gym and dinner parties. I work at a food industry where I wear a uniform and workbooks, and when not at work I love wearing skirts and dresses, classic prints, and minimalist style pieces and don't like to wear heels.
Your videos have really helped me narrow down my style! As a frequent shopper, finding out what my true style is and how to shop for who I really am rather than buying everything I think is pretty. My style parameters are that I believe I'm a theatrical romantic or a romantic kibbe type (I can't figure out which one), and I'm 5'4; my Kitchener essences are an even 25% split between Ingenue, Romantic, Classic, and Dramatic, and my color season is Dark Winter. I have naturally curly dark hair, but I always wear it straight, and I'm black. I'm a graduate degree student who plans on being a fiction author full-time, but I like to dress up even if I'm going to class or the grocery store. My personal style map consists of luxury fashion (Andy during the montage in Devil Wears Prada), Disney princesses, gothic literature, the outfits from Reign, and Cher from Clueless and Blaire Waldorf inspiration.
How the hell do you not at least have 100k subs😩you’re so underrated you have the best content about kibbe and fashion advices
I appreciate that!
@@Gabriellearrudadesign of course!! And I'm excited to see what you put out in the future ❤️ I appreciate how seriously you take your content!
This woman is brilliant. Why doesn't she have millions
Thank you!
I just want to be respectful of the system I admire and try to help spread the word in a positive manner, so I'm trying to step back and make sure I'm doing that
The Kibbe Maoists.
@@alteredcatscyprus lmfao no they're kibbe conservatives
@@shreyaadahall lmao, oh hell no you don’t, I’m not claiming them, they’re your freakin frankensteins!
Body type: 5’7, curvy with sharper bones (possibly SD)
Essence blend: classic, dramatic, and romantic
Color pallet: soft summer pallet is best, but can shift into soft autumn as well
As a true autumn dramatic classic that hasn’t decided which essence combination, your videos have been so helpful!
I’m so glad they’ve helped 🥰🥰
Hey i an also soft autumn dramatic classic
same!
And I am a deep autumn dramatic classic
@@gloglos100same here
I've never had a problem with how you presented kibbe info (not that I'm an expert), but by far my favorite videos of yours is your personal style videos.
I'm so glad to hear it helped you hone that down! That's a huge part of feeling good in your style
Thank you so much!!
@@Gabriellearrudadesign you're most welcome! I'll be watching 😊
~Thank you
Thank you for sharing, it really means a lot that you've found some of my content helpful and it's exciting to hear about your style journey.
please share your pinterest board 🥰🥰🥰
A huge thanks to you 🤍
Actually, I feel way more free with your content than the opposite. I really hope you get back. You have no idea how much you helped me.
it's always good to take a step back from something you've invested a lot of thought into so you can see the bigger picture again, but that doesn't mean the deep dives aren't of value either! always good to have a balance, can't wait to see what content you go for :)
and love the style guiding as always!!
I’m so glad you related! And it really means a lot you appreciate my goal to grow and improve, thank you!
Woman! You are blowing my mind ^_^
I'm 38 years old and you introduced me to essences 🙌
Thank you Dear 🫸🫷
Gabrielle, your Kibbe videos have been extremely helpful. I am a “new” person because of them, I now have a style which is true to my essence and I love it❤. Honestly, I do not see a disservice on your behalf.
I really appreciated the hijabi example and how well-informed you are on it! I feel seen as a muslim woman. Thank you!
I'm also 5'5 and want to highlight/avoid the same things. I'd love to hear more about which style is working for you, just out of curiosity ❤
All the style parameters have helped me to home in on my best self and my authentic expression. Thank you for helping me with this. I recognize that not all of the beautiful clothes are for me, just the ones that make me feel like myself beautifully. It's a gift to have parameters.
Definitely! Once you land on one’s that feel authentic it can be a game changer ☺️
I very much hope that you decide to continue, your videos transformed my understanding of fashion and made things click.
Yes please to more on personal style maps! 😁
I think I might make that my next video ❤️
YES, I would love a deep dive into how to apply everything to get a great style map. Thanks for asking.
Added to the list
Haha, thank you for the support and kind words! I just want to be respectful and feel good about my message
I had the same reaction when the video first started!!
Also Gaby, just wanted to say I find the way you communicate very refreshing ❤ it’s easy to see how passionate you are about people and not just fashion-
I really appreciate your videos and your honesty xxx much love and can’t wait for the next one, whichever direction you choose to take 😙
Thank you so much, it really means a lot to me!!!
i'm a soft dramatic with ethereal essence. my color season is soft summer and my goal is to look magical mysterious and put-together but also grounded. i like to wear clothes that are modest and do not restrict movement (and are comfrotable) and soft fabrics and flat shoes. i'm inspired by nature, spring, cottagecore, fairytales and stories like chroniches of narnia, ghibli or anne of green gables and i like celestial motifs like suns, moons and stars, especially for jewerly. i'm also a college student (business major) so i would like my look to represent quiet confidence since i am very introverted. also, i just wanted to say thank you so much for making these videos. i find them extremely helpful❤🦋
Soft Dramatic with Ethereal essence & Soft Summer here as well! :O
Your content is great, and I'm really surprised by those critics! Personally, I was never confused by your manners 🥺 I'll keep following your content, not matter Kibbe or any orher personal style aspect ✨
I discovered your videos not too long ago. I love your explanations, style (clothes and teaching), basically everything about your work!
Thank you- this means a lot to me ❤️
Thank you so much for adding a Hijabi I really appreciate it as a Muslim 🫶🏼🤍
Thank you so much, I really appreciate that!!
I am new and binge watching you too! This video is 8 months old now. But I feel the same as above!!!
@@VeryStumped thank you!! I’m working on a new video that should be out soon 😂
And yes! Would love a video on how to use the images on the moodboard to create looks!
I would love a video on personal style maps!! ❤❤❤❤ having a hard time choosing glasses right now and feel like it could be very helpful 😊
I'm glad seeing the examples is helpful! I added yours to my list👍
Thank you so much for your hard work
PS : I love how inclusive you are it’s so refreshing
Thank you! Love your inspos! I added you to the list and if you want to send me your map just send it to info@gabriellearruda.com🥰
Supposedly , I’m a natural classic with romantic & gamine….. sounds like a prescription for psychosis
Knowing that however makes me feel somewhat better.
Hoping you will do more with personal style content in spite of stepping back from kibbe! x
Yes I don't plan to stop personal style content at all, just re-evaluate what my focus is, and how I present any kibbe-related content in the future
Thank you so much for this video, it's really helpful for understanding how to incorporate different elements into an outfit :)
Also I really love that cottagecore tote bag
Glad it was helpful! I might do another version of it soon!
You rock! Thanks for your work 🎉
Hi, can you tell me what glossies means?
Thank you so much! I agree there is a lot of gatekeeping, and I think there might be a better way for Kibbe himself to funnel new clients outside the SK group alone. But I just want to make sure I'm respecting him and his system with my message. I think it can ultimately be a really great style tool. And totally agree with growing up in the 90's- the fashion stimuli continues to explode, it can be daunting. I'm honored to be one of those creators, tahnk you!
@@inabind416 it means fashion magazines :)
@@candibee8918 😣 ok, thanks! I’m not normally that stupid 😁
@@inabind416 oh no worries! Not stupid at all :)
Thank you. You are great. Don’t listen to haters and unreasonable criticisms.
Glad you liked it! I added you to the list!
I’m obsessed with your videos
thank you! makes me very happy to hear the info resonates!
These videos help so much!!
I absolutely love them!
All your videos are life saver for understanding style and being able to apply the “rules” irl! 💕
You are so awesome. I will watch whatever content you make.
That's so nice of you to say, it's really appreciated!
Thank you so much! I added yours to the list too
This is so helpful, thank you for putting these together!
Thank you for being so inclusive ❤
Really appreciate it
It's always a priority!
