If you have Omniscience out and only Acquisition in your hand you can get the other Acquisition from your sb, then get scholar getting back both Acquisition and win that way
Why do most people play mana drain while you opt for thought seize and ritual. U should deck tech this for us sometime so we understand the bo1 optimizations you decided for the list
I don't like mana drain because I want to be proactive and not reactive. SnT is a combo deck, and I want to combo off as fast as possible. If you think about what you will counter, it will most likely be another counterspell while you are trying to go off. I think thoughtseize and veil of summer just do the same thing for less mana. I would rather turn 1 thoughtseize a counter and then have the info of their hand. Dark ritual lets you combo off on turn 2 and if you have 3 mana you can ritual + assemble + SnT. Also, ritual has saved me a lot when I can only find 2 lands. Sorry for the long response.
@@griffinMTG I definitely feel the same way. I think the way to go is to replace it with x4 leyline of sanctity. As for thought seize, I prefer x2-x4 copies of Kozilek because it doesn't drain my life and my biggest threats are 3 mana or less. I also play with a copy of Hullbreaker. He was difficult to use at first but now I love it. That thing has saved me in countless games.
@@pietrocelano9752 Yes it's a pretty good deck for Bo3. Chestheir has a great decklist and sideboard on his most recent show and tell video. I think this one is pretty solid for the main deck.
@@griffinMTG maindeck leyline, only 1 veil of summer, no mana drain, no waterlogged teachings or hullbreaker. Theres just alot wrong with it. You have almost no backup plan for if something goes slightly wrong and youre leaning too hard on having a leyline in your opener
@@griffinMTGI play this deck only in bo3 so the meta is probably a bit different: You should really add waterlogged teachings to the deck. It allows you to only run one copy of borne and is super useful when you are going off to make sure you don't whiff. It can also be played as a land. Veil is great both vs discard and counters, you probably need to run more copies of it. I don't like maindeck leyline as veil is usually better, but maybe in bo1 there is a lot of scam so the choice is reasonable. Hullbreaker is really good in slower matchups/the mirror and can kinda replace the acquisition (you can bounce all their permanents with it), you should probably play some infinite loop with stuff like bowmasters to be able to win at instant speed if you need to
My kind of content lmao. I'm starting to win a lot more consistently with this deck 👍
There are a lot of lines and it is pretty complex today. I still feel like I'm figuring out new things
I'm curious based off of what you have in your sideboard, when are you grabbing anything that isn't approach?

@@griffinMTGwouldn’t you need a second approach or something to dig 7 cards in the sideboard to secure the win with that line?
Scholar puts 2 Acquisition in your hand. 1st one gets approach from sb. 2nd one gets it from deck
@griffinMTG i added bond of insight in case of etb hate but I can't bounce or copy the affect since the spell exiles after the cast

is this viable for bo3 also?

I like this one, I am pretty close to trying it out on the ladder. Thnx for the clip ❤
I do Play izzet Phoenix in Timeless and this Deck Always looses to t3 spell pierce
If they don't thoughtsieze or hold up a veil, then it happens
@griffinMTG that never Happens or when they thoughtseize I try to Draw Into a New one.
absolutely horrendous list, never cook again
Want provide some reasoning or is this just a shit post

@@novos356 it's bo1. Discard is way more popular than counters.
@@griffinMTGinstant losing to any deck playing a counterspell is not good tho. Veil also protects vs discard
