They have much in common. Both had the role of creating balance in the force but failed. Both wanted a family more than anything but failed that too. Anakin eventually got a redemption perhaps Abeloth could have the same?

@@rojaws1183that's purely circumstantial. They are very VERY different. Anakin did what he did , not for himself, but for the one he loved. He didn't even try to make her or even himself immortal. Abeloths reasons were very selfish. She gained immortality, not to help anyone, but to control people. Specifically the people she loved the most. Anikin wanted to preserve life where abeloth wanted to control life.

The "road to Hell" story in it's purest form. Wonder if the 3 immortals in this got a serious gut punch from what became of this. When they had to flee her an then turn their once shared home to her eternal prison. The fact that they didn't try to destroy and end her or find any way to change her back shows just how both powerful and bad she became.

4:54 & 6:53 is how Abeloth needs to look in live action. If we get to see her appearance I hope they don't make her into some overly beautiful woman with crazy powers. We need to see her as ghoulish as she looks in the picture art.

If they do make a live action abeloth she should be able to disguise herself as a beautiful woman and her true form would be a tall, grotesque, horrifying monster and have her be lovecraftian.
Make her personality as that of Wanda from the MCU as they’re both similar in almost every way. Both lost their lovers and children and they’re both trying to recreate them. They’re both corrupted by power and they both started iut as good and noble

No, that, and this video is completely misrepresenting the character. Her actions speak louder than a RUclips cc. A few years of depression and closing yourself off from those around you can seriously negatively impair your life, health, wellbeing, social skills and relationships, mental process, and how you deal with stress, maybe even your ability to hold a job that you would’ve excelled at years before, perhaps permanently. It’s so bad, that even a few days of solitary confinement is considered a form of torture.
That loneliness and despair probably ate away at Abeloth until that became who she was in a matter of a decade. And she had at least a 100,000 years of that.

Just like Anakin she sought to prevent what she feared and ended up causing it instead, but unlike Vader who eventually returned to the Light, she can never return or be redeemed, and I pity her even more because of it. If they do bring her into cannon I hope they can give us a definitive way to kill her if only to set her free from the torment of her madness. • @Dragon_Lord4_Sure
    @Dragon_Lord4_Sure Год назад +1

The tragedy of Abaloth is that she is mortal, living amongst the Immortal. She in the beginning represents the force sensitive looking to become more in tuned with all aspects of the force. She leaned towards the dark sied because it has a deeper pool of useage. She wasn't evil, nor was her intentions to know the dark sied evil. In all she was innovative for those days, she sought true and richer balance. The Father representing the Force sought a calming balance, he already knew the will of all the force so he shunned the darker portions for calm. Like all mortals in the seat of learning we want more "time" to know it all. So we seek immortality to get "time". Love does play a factor in her story but she reads as we all eventually do. Obsessed with Life cause we are afraid of death. Same tragedy that stumbled Anakin.

I don't think she was evil. She was the embodiment of chaos within the Force. The opposite of the Will of the Force which is order. Even the Dark Side obeys the Will. But not Abeloth. She is free of it, and that is why the Force itself abhors her, yet yields to her every whim.

  • @The_Lucent_Archangel

Odd as it may seem, I feel a strange analog between this story and what they did in the RE installments with Eveline and Miranda. The former was instinctually driven to be a daughter, but was considered a failed attempt at returning Miranda's real child. Miranda was obsessed with the notion of family, namely bringing back her Eva.
On both counts they twisted, corrupted, and controlled everything around them and we only truly stopped by a father and daughter years after both had been "killed". Familial themes are surprisingly strong and hold much common ground across all genres of fiction. Probably because most everyone can relate to them on a deep level.

Ahsoka started off slow which is typical Filoni. People whining about Loki's S2E2 "Breaking Brad" episode being wasted when it's better than 6 of the 8 Ahsoka episodes.
Ahsoka peaked at the middle. Then ended badly accomplishing nothing except characters swapping galaxies. This could've been told in 4 episodes. We wasted 4 episodes which is 3 weeks of wasting time.
Now I personally didn't hate it. It's still not much better than The Mandalorian S3 and nowhere as good as Mando S1, S2, and Andor S1. It did get me into researching the lore more and I do have The Clone Wars and Tales of the Jedi uploaded on my Google Photos.
Still, Ahsoka is another Disney+ Star Wars series that fell into a trap of nostalgia bait. Meaningless cameos that brought nothing meaningful to the story. Then the story went nowhere while accomplishing nothing. No tension either. Nothing felt at stake.
I got my Andor hat from Aliexpress about 4 days ago and I've been wearing it every day. It's not my favorite hat ever. Only $14, so it's more like a throwaway hat. A bit too tight but it's breaking in the more I wear it. But I wear it proudly knowing it's the best SW series on Disney+. It has the Andor symbol on it. For people who have seen Andor, they'll know.
I initially hated Andor. The first two episodes were a chore. Can help with insomnia. I used to call it Anbore. Even mocked it before release as what's the point if we know Cassian dies? I'm so glad I gave it another chance albeit 9 months later. It's the best because it doesn't try to be bigger than it really is. Doesn't follow the same member berries formula.
Perhaps Ahsoka will be more liked as time goes on? Who knows? It did for the Prequels after letting it marinate for 20 years with kids growing up from it. I know some who like the Street Fighter the Movie with JCVD in 1994. It takes time to appreciate. Nostalgia plays a role. Time also heals. Visually, Ahsoka does look nice.
I remember watching ROTS in the theater back in 2005, the character who drew the biggest applause was Yoda. When he beheaded those troopers behind him. Then when he waved his hand to bring down the guards against the wall. Yoda also drew the biggest applause at the end of AOTC.
Now revisionists make it seem Anakin was the coolest in ROTS and Hayden is this legendary actor only ruined by George's script. Nah, young fools. Yoda was getting all the applause in the theater. But since he's so small, fans will fap to Hayden for spinning a lightsaber behind his back.
Ahsoka ended up a 7.5/10 for me. Just mid. It could've been so much better. Didn't establish anything while Loki S1 did establish something with the TVA. Ahsoka was for ROTS/cartoon SW fans to fap to every time they saw Hayden or someone they remember from their childhood come on screen. Like visiting a zoo to see your favorite animals.
Baylan was easily the best character of the series and really the only interesting character in it and they wasted him in the last 2 episodes. At least give us more info on Shin (2nd most interesting) or tease us about Abeloth or whoever. Now what's to look forward to if there is a Season 2 since nothing was established from S1 for us to question something for the next 2 years?
I honestly can't rewatch Ahsoka because I hated that S1 finale so much like I can't watch the final 2 episodes of Game of Thrones. Characters doing the dumbest things. The best and most interesting characters were NEW. Then Disney turned the smartest character in SW into an idiot.
People hate on Rey when the stuff the writers do for Ahsoka and Sabine are beyond annoying. Ahsoka is this invincible chick because she happened to be Anakin's apprentice. Gee! Run for the hills! She can't die! She's The Daughter and now Ahsoka the White. Then we watch her in Ep 7 and she can't handle fighting Baylan again.
Then Disney is turning Sabine into Rey. So Rey gets hated on for being overpowered when she's related to Palpatine but you won't do the same for Sabine because she was related to the first Mandalorian Jedi? Don't be a hypocrite, SW fans. A Force push only a minute later after getting that ability is beyond stupid.
At least Rey is trying to do good in the galaxy. Yet, she's the one overhated because she is a Mary Sue or wasn't born with a penis. Not saying Rey is a great character but she wasn't the one who killed Han or thought about killing Leia while Kylo Ren is the one doing all this but doesn't get hated on as much as Rey.
In some ways, Ahsoka is actually written worse than Rey. What's her purpose except to be overpowered, ghost people, and survive another day? George wanted her dead a long time ago. But Filoni can't help it. He wants his waifu to be so important when she wasn't even present for the most important events in all three trilogies!

Not so much tragic as a story of fear of death and the loss of loved ones turned her into a monster as consequence for her breaking the laws of nature. The only tragic part is the pain she caused her family with the greedy acts of lunacy as her fear turned into total darkness.
Her being a human is destined as humans are the greediest creature in nature. You had the perfect trio, Light or life, Dark or death and Balance or Order. With the Mothers greed and direct opposition to life, death and balance itself she created the Void or Chaos. She created the very thing she was trying to solve as her acts is what doomed the galaxy.
