Thanks for just filming fishing without the annoying background music, crazy editing effects and graphics and over enthusiastic narrating. I don’t know why the other youtubers can’t figure out to keep it simple.
Because back then editing is what you need to do to stand out as everyone is that simple. Now that everyone's editing, being simple becomes more appealing
I love watching your videos. I know there is always the magic of editing but you never seem to get skunked! You are always on the fish and that's entertaining!
That was a beauty you let go Elias. So many nice fish up there. Until we get the golf courses, housing and Lake Okeechobee figured out we're going to be fighting red tide forever down here. Hope we smarten up soon. We've already started removing the canals from the everglades land that was drained. I see it progressing every day when I'm out there fishing Lots of excavation and removing canals.
Donald Bonds some big fish are not good to eat because they have worms inside and they don’t taste good so that’s why most fisherman release them back into the water.
@@raymondperales6612 That's right, the big trophy fish don't taste very good. Also, the big ones are the breeders that have been around for years sustaining the fishery. Eat the just legal ones :D
Thanks for the backwaters video. They are probably my favorite videos you do. Don't get me wrong, I like all your videos that I have seen to date. It's just the backwaters are more relevant to my style of fishing.
Dude sheepshead freeze nicely put fillets in ziplock fill with water squeeze out excess water stacks like bricks nothing finer. Been doing it for 40years luv it. When I die I wanna be catching sheepues
Back in the 60s & 70s my grandparents would rent a boat once a year or so and we'd load up on the northern puffers (blowfish) in Barnegat Bay. We'd fry them up and eat them every Friday for months. I swear my grandmother could clean 100 of the little buggers in about 20 minutes. They were the tastiest things I ever ate. I know a lot of guys hate that they're back in numbers up here, but I'm happy to see and especially taste them again.
great day... I agree with the guy before me that RUclipsrs today are all caught up in trying to be too slick. If I wanted effects, overdubbing, sound effects, visual effects I'd watch TV. Oh and no one watches TV anymore for just that reason. Love your vids. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Elias I am Pedro for Kathy fission I am a subscriber and I live in New Jersey and I go fishing for fluke and stripes off piers and I am eight years old I like your videos your much
Hi Elias I am Pedro from KEPTI fishingI am eight years old and I go fishing for stripers and fluke of piers and I live in New Jersey and I like your videosVery much
Ellias, how would you recommend not snagging and losing jigs when targeting blackfish? Stay farther away from structure, but risk not having as good of a bite? I’ve been losing so many bottom sweepers due to snagging. Thx
Loved the video. Two species I really want to catch in Savannah/Tybee when I get there in a week. I was worried the sheeps would have moved further out into the ocean. Great news. Thanks
Great vid. I live in CA and I kayak fish on the ocean here - lots of rock fish and ling cod. Great fun. My only question, how do you get your vids to upload in 1080p60? I've got a Hero 7 Black, takes crystal clear video but the best I can upload in is 1080p. Wondering if it's my video editor - any tips would be appreciated!
Gosh, I hated cleaning sheepies when I was a kid, and grandpa always fried them whole, skin on scaled, gutted, headless. About three inch slab of plate hider. Skinned, filleted, thin coat cracker meal, peanut oil for snook, grouper for sure, but those dang sheepies can deal a hurtin' on ya...I was given a dull concrete step sharpened swichblade, confiscated by N.Y. based FBI uncle, who gave grandfather wooden liquor boxes full of them. You just about can't handle a sheepie, dead or alive and not get stuck.
Sorry E I was waiting for that damn bull shark....I even jumped a little bit when you pulled that 1st sheep out on the big set up.;)on that big single piling.
Hey Elias, I primarily fish with PowerPro and or Sufix832 is there a better braid? I fish up north for alot of Tautog, Striper, and Fluke... Especially when Tog fishing in rocks I get alot of breakoffs. Just wondering if you found a better line to fish structure? Thanks
Just another day at the office for Elias. Looks like you have mastered that new kayak. Was that the same piece of structure where you got seriously sharked?
Pretty easy to distinguish the spots on shell and they tend to be a bit furrier, if they are too small to tell features I won't bother, the smaller crabs suck to fish with in my opinion. Also been stopped here a few times now, with no issues. Stones also have lower tolerance for freshwater, you won't find em in the rivers - makes it way easier where to flip rocks.
@@EliasVFishing When I lived in Galveston I would did up the fiddler crabs in the salt marshes and use them for Sheeps near the piers or jetty. Always caught em, they could not resist em
Always good to see you around structure and catching sheep heads. But I really like the back water fishing because that is what I do most of the time. Great video buddy
How long does a slammer or a squall take abuse for? I mean regular wear and tear, I'm looking at the squall combo in size 20-30, figured I'd ask since ya seem to use both occasionally
I haven't had any catastrophic issues with either for over a year now. They aren't the lightest nor best for sensitive applications...that being said...I'd highly recommend owning one of em for specific types of fishing.
I love your show son good luck good fishing

Fly out awesome fisherman thanks for sharin’ Elias!
Love seeing the fish go back. Well done.
I have never in my life ever hear someone say..... I didn't need a fish that big.
Donald Bonds because you’ve never met anyone who cares about conservation of wildlife and sustainability lol.
Donald Bonds dunno who else you’re watching but most youtubers I watch only catch and keep the size they could eat :)

whenever i see you fishing on structure like that, i think "yeap, gonna be a lot of sheepshead... and maybe a bullshark" ;-)
Furat Ceylan always a bull around
To me thats paradise. Bucket of crabs couple joints rolled. Nice size sheepies. Never going home

"Toad fish?" Every hookup
can you make a video of how you safely prepare/eat the puffer fish?

that first dock was sick
enjoyed that general fishing thanks
Dude these dock fishing videos always make me so nervous! I'm so paranoid about breaking off around structure.
If you don’t break off your not doing it right lol
Beautiful Fish, congratulations, this wonderful place is very good for Fishing.👍🎣🐠🐟😎
Hug and good Fishing!
Dumb question, I thought the puffers were poisonous, but I guess not? I thought they had spines when they puffed up?
Sorry E I was waiting for that damn bull shark....I even jumped a little bit when you pulled that 1st sheep out on the big set up.;)on that big single piling.
Good jobs
What a good way to do the un/covid day :)
Good video
And some nice size sheepies 👍👍
That intro music had me ready for a cinematic emotional plot twist
Nice video but, puffers instead of sheepsheads??? Guess I need to see the catch and cook for the puffers.
Good spot and nice catch
Those salt water fish fight hard.
can you also catch good stuff with crab as bait in the deep sea? or is this bait mostly only good for like pier type stuff?
Wow
That water is YooWho!!!
That Red was sweet👍🏻👍🏻

So far the X9 has been great for first few attempts. The heavy duty tog dudes swear by 832 so I wouldn't discredit it.
Hi Elias, how do you cook the puffer fish ?
Great video. Where are you fishing
Didn't know you could eat the puffers. How are they?
Great video man
I thought puffer fish are toxic to eat. The more you know! 👍
Norther puffers are safer. They have far less toxin. Still have to be on safe side cleaning.
Nice video man!! Nothing like catching sheeps under structure!!
A minute in the first thing I noticed is damn that water is dirty hate fishing like that and usually don’t do to good when it looks like mud
I just bought a tsunami 4000 reel ,going to try that baby out on some strippers, good reviews keep up the vids
Very relaxing watching you fish. That first one was a beauty!

Didn’t know you can eat those puffers. You get them A LOT down here in south Florida. Any good as bait??
Nice vid🎣👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Is that a shad bar ? Shad dart ?
How many grams of lead needle (plummet) that you wear crab?
What is your fishing rod?
Is that the ADM dock?
What’s the location bruh, nice video as well.

Kurşunlu Olta iğnesi (zoka) kaç gr.?
How much gr. Hook with lead (zokka)? ☺️
yes
Where is the area that you fish?
Folly Charleston
what kind of line is that yellow ?
how many fish or pounds of fish can you realistically load onto your kayak? don't they just flop around on top of your legs like crazy?
And what are you using to catch them
Crack the shell for better results and the line is tangled lol that's my luck also
