- Well what can I say... Aside from what an AMAZING Day!!
Sadly due to the traffic leaving Cornwall we didn’t manage to spend the whole 2 days at Hickstead, however we did arrive in time to Witness Matthew Sampson’s Exhilarating round in the British Speed Derby. He was the last rider to go and absolutely flew around the challenging course to take the WIN!! I have never heard crowds cheer so loud in my life!! The atmosphere was Amazing.
Day 2 “The Al Shira’aa Derby Day” ~ well the Vlog pretty much sums up how epic that was!!
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day, from walking the Iconic course to cheering the Scurry Challenge on, browsing the shopping stalls to witnessing Holly and William both produce amazing clear rounds over the toughest course in the world resulting in a jump off!
To then sitting in on and filming the Press Conference 🎥
The whole day just blew me away ~ what an Amazing Event, I can highly recommend attention next year guys... it’s certainly not just for Showjumper that’s for sure!!
I will certainly be going back ~ thank you so much to the team at Hickstead for Inviting me, it really was an honour to go behind the scenes and be in on all the action.

I have been a horse lover since I was a young girl. In the 70's and 80's, I would regularly watch show jumping at Hickstead, Wembley and Olympia. Over the years I have ridden, but never had the chance to do anything like you, #EMD Eventing, #Elphic Event Ponies and #Footloose Eventing do. But, I thoroughly enjoy going with you on your eventing days etc. Keep it up 🙂

love watching your videos, I just found you and am using you and em as inspiration to get back in the game after years of not riding much (I've got a lovely mare but we haven't been able to both be sound at the same time since ... forever lol. I'm determined this year will be our year).
