Hey Syn, I've been watching you for about 4 years, and I just wanted to say that it's been a pleasure watching you grow and that I think you made the right decision by not doing daily uploads. Your content always makes me smile and you make it all so entertaining :)
Love this build. Thought - one of the empty rooms at the bottom should be opened up with a behemoth gate and be like a rock drake pen. Noticed there's technically no way for a drake to glide in or out if you were riding one.
Unfortunately each face of the lower rooms is 3 walls wide and the behemoth gates are 5 so until s+ or something makes a 3 width wall that’s going to be hard but he could go giant slanted hatch frames
Syntac is such a inspiration for so many Ark players. I have been watching Syntac since before the flyer nerf and his videos are so instructional and amazing. His wisdom has guided me through the years.. I am very excited for Ark 2 and what Syntac will produce when it comes to content with that.
This turned out great! 👏👏 I’d love to see some of the S+ glass on a base like this with some modeling, opacity and painting, since there’s a lot of colorful scenery to see. Also, maybe a different, square tek elevator on the front for the final floor so you can use the center for Rockwell and it would put you in the correct viewing location.
I watched your mutation video to understand my rex line better and you really helped out. Thanks man. Lets hope this video does decent too, I hate the algorithm of the platform.
put the Rockwell dermis on the bottom floor, and have some lights right under him. use the darkness of that room to your advantage, putting a sort of "spotlight" on Rockwell.
love the design looks great, have you thought of maybe adding a transmitter underneath the platform in the water ? so the beam shoots up into the structure (unaware of the actual size of the beam )
this is the kind of stuff they need in ark 2 if theres gonna be npc's with possible villages and towns you can go to (they might not, just if it does happen), just huge awesome structures like this that are suspended, could have an entire tribe sort of and just awesome! also if more area and storage is needed, as a suggestion i think it would be cool to make the cliff platforms and put them on the walls around the base itself, or at least close enough to use the zipline since that would also be pretty cool to use those to get around the different areas, if your doing mutations n stuff

This is a really cool build! I've always wanted to do a suspended base of sorts. You could add some small balconies on the parts that are just plain to break up the monotony of vertical walls a bit. Maybe a little one on one edge with a partial room as maybe a take off point for the bloodstalker or maybe even just a turret to ward off reapers. Also as a little tip for building, if you remove the floors where you are placing stuff, it will make it so you can only snap to the wall and stay consistent. You can then just re-snap the floor back where it was. I normally will build a layer and then remove a section of floor to start building up and then place them back once I have a wall in. It gets a little complicated if there's not a wall beneath where you are building though.
So no1 gonna talk about the fact he walked through that door in the beginning when he rlly didn't have to, considering it was literally just the door and nothing else around xD. I love ur videos syn
railing snap points are messy. If you are having an issue of it not lining up, remove the ceiling that's attached to the wall you are trying to place the railing on, place railing, then put the ceiling back.
One suggestion, you could probably put a tek shield generator around the elevator platform at the bottom, and have a bridge to the nearest land, so you can fully access the base without needing any tek suit/dino. Also agree with a couple of the comments on setting up a section as a dino pen, or a way for you to take a dino out and get back in (rock drake/bloodstalker).
You actually inspired me to get ark and i feel like for many other people here you always make us happy with your uploads and overall your videos are just very well done

Syn you should totally make a funky moon pool, directly below to connect yourself to the floor. I think that would be sick to have a surface to sky connection.
The jumping snap point thing is just normal vanilla Ark, Syn, happens to us all the time without S+. The struggle to create nice bases is the true Ark endgame 😉
Loving the base so far and I like the way you put a mix of wood and stone details! I think it would look beautiful if there was a part of the base with glass walls like the bottom area that was filled with featherlights on wander and auto-glow, sort of like lightning bugs in a jar. Especially if their glow colors could be changed to fit with the ambience of the surrounding terrain, like maybe a blue and purple mix.

An Idea I had from buildnig my own bases, You can use the model selector and wood/stone railings to make short little wooden walls at the bottom of your stone walls, It does a nice job of making it look more reinforced and pops out a little more visually, Hope it helps.
for the glass part on the bottom of the bas what if you changed the glass ceilings (squares) into glass gates, pretty sure there are one wide versions, if not using a dynamic gate would work; this idea is to add meaning to the bottom as an entrance and exit and have a creature terminal down there with creatures ready to go out and save a syn bag or creature
Hey syn seeing that glowpet room made me remember something. A mod I think would fit the series well is "no untamables" allowing the taming of all normal creatures. (Alphas, corrupted, mission, and cave creatures are not included). It adds cool and unique variants and taming methods to various creatures including jellyfish, ammonite, eurypterid, deathworm, glowbug, jugbug, seekers, etc. They all have unique in basic taming methods just like ark additions, I just think it would be cool trying things like can leeds beat moeder or can deathworms beat titans, how strong are mutated seekers, so on and so forth. Can you tame gigas with levitating lobsters? If you see this thanks for reading. Also no the base doesn't look like a d*ck it looks more like a plug or a very long chandelier of sorts. Perhaps a coat of paint would help. Maybe darkening the wood to black to match the blue willowgroves. Perhaps plant species R would work in the Rockwell room.
I don't know where the thank you or curse you, after getting your videos recommend again after quitting ark for a few years, I'm back on the grind. Absolutely love the videos! But why did you make me wanna play again? 🤣
Maybe for the top room you could build like a stage above the Tek elevator, so you can put a Rockwell tribute in the centre of the room, and the elevator takes you underneath that into a bit of a hidden area?

First 30 seconds. Completely blank empty pad, only thing on it was a doorframe and door. Literally infinite space around it. And syn actually ran up to the door, opened it, went through it and shut it. That right there is the stuff you only expect to see in a cartoon.
If you take a good look at it and think with some imagination the hanging base really looks like a lightsaber handle, all it needs is to have the actual lights on the top
I can't wait to see ultimate ARK return. I know that there are few players that have beaten down The Corrupted Master Controller on Alfa difficulty solo.
It looks like a chandelier to me. It'd be cool if you could hang some lights around it so it glitters and glows like some epic centerpiece to the lake below.
The pattern underneath the build could be used as a sort of like helicopter pad type thing but for rock drakes so like your headed back the base on a drake and you do that dash thing that rock drakes can do, you land beneath this build and like just climb inside

I've always liked the circular shape buildings as well, I just wish there was a more domed options. For things like basilica's and things like that.
You could also use wooden ladders to detail the blank stone walls
The bioluminescent swamp is definitely the most aesthetic biome in the game 🥰 certainly a favorite
S+ glass walls, for the bottom part, with majority of the sides hidden so it's all see through. Maybe a bit of a tint on them
Looks like a Giant microscope, which is appropriate I guess since the water below could be like a Petri dish filled with microorganisms

A little late but you were right, you can place pillars on ramps to have them placed at an angle in vanilla. It's a bit funky but it's possible.

Wow! I played Aberration for months and thought I knew the map well and I never saw this area. It makes me want to explore aberration again.

I might start using dynamic pillars for decoration as well, looks pretty interesting.
I think a big tip to make these type of video's more entertaining would be a timelapse. With some kinda voice over or something extra on the side!
