@@JohnSoapMacTavish-tb6pk Here’s an unpopular opinion but I loved Darksides special from TM3 the best. It felt really unique to Darkside in a way that no other vehicle could do what he could do. Most incarcerations of Darkside involved high speed ramming, which in my opinion always felt like more of Hammerheads special.
Im suprised outlaw wasn't even mentioned. The police cruiser turned swat armored truck was fun to play as, and if you played tm 1 2, and 3 the story was canon through out.
3 did not have to explain how they got back to earth because TM2 did. She installed some sort of rocket booster in her car to get back to earth when she was transported to space.

Yeah, that is the reason other than the fact that the character is the face of Twisted Metal (as its driver would even make appearances in other video games (heck, he even appeared as a secret character for Hot Shots Golf 2).
Neither did grasshopper. She was the most overpowered character in the game, with her bullshit get out of jail super that could be spammed. Neither warthog or minion could stop her if she kept jumping.
Honorable Mentions Dark Tooth- because who doesn't like More power Outlaw- technically Outlaw won Twisted Metal Twice (The Original Outlaw one the first game and Outlaw 2 won the second) Minion (Armored Tank) - because you can't beat a classic Hammerhead- a Monster Truck in a Demolition Derby? What's not to love. Brimstone- although it was only playable in one game (technically 2 if you count the "Twisted Metal Black: The Lost Levels" Mode in Twisted Metal: Head On Extra Twisted Edition), Brimstone's driver; The Preacher, became a very popular character, who even appeared in cutscenes and after beating the main campaign you unlocked the Preacher Faction! Calypso- because you could only play him in TM4... And he launched a Nuke as his Special Weapon

It was obvious sweet tooth was number 1 but I think minion should of been way further on the list. He’s always been a boss in the 5 games he was in which says enough.
Twisted Metal 2 was my favorite from back in the day. This is a series that needs a reboot or remastering, and to be sold across consoles. I'd sure that a remastered version of TM 1 and 2 would sell quite a lot. One vehicular combat game I thought didn't get enough love was Critical Depth, which had an interesting group of vehicles, but a storyline that advanced during each level, with each set of characters getting a text advancing their own unique story on each level.
Twisted Metal 2 was the first Playstation game I ever played and I was obsessed with the rest of the Twisted Metals (well 2,3,and 4) for the Playstation!
They Definitely need a 2 but I would love to see with their own unique abilities something similar to overwatch But still keep that twist metal formula you know what i mean?
Driving Minion in Twisted Metal 2 is always my jam. The backstory for Minion’s tank is that it was a us military r and d project where you can link your mind to the tank. The stronger your brain power, the stronger the tank is. In the case of minion, with him being at the helm of the XJ-9 Mind Tank, would be a near unstoppable force of terrifying power.
I am not surprised that WatchMojo put Sweet Tooth at number one. Sweet Tooth and its driver, Needles Kane, have become the franchise's mascots. The demonic ice cream truck and its driver are also the whole reason I got into Twisted Metal in the first place. Nothing at all will ever beat the excitement and joy of ramming into other opponents or turning Sweet Tooth into a mech in Twisted Metal Black. It was just pure, dumb fun. Black is stupidly difficult, though.
I think Dark tooth should have been one of those honorable mentions. Just spamming the homing, flaming skulls with an insane amount of health and armor.
Another nostalgic game. My favorite char is Shadow in TM2. best special attack in the game, a moving shadow that passes thru anything and it's like a remote control bomb that deals heavy damage. I remember we tested that special attack from edge to edge of the map, and deym it still worked. And during clash, casting shield and then unleash special attack in front of other vehicles, deym! the damage is quite OP and it is so satisfying.. haha, hys good old days!
Mine too! I would launch the shadow, turbo to catch up to it, put on a shield, detonate it under me to help reach places no other car could get to!! Lol then from a place where no one could hit me…launch shadows and kill everyone. It was incredible! Lol
Mr.Slam and Twister from twisted metal 2 are some of my favorites. Though Thumper in that game wasn't to be slept on. Wish I had friends to play it with. Also fun fact Twister, Yellowjacket, Crazy 8, pit viper, Mr.Slam, and Specter with a few others were going to be in the ps3 game.
I miss this game, I grow up in the era of car-combat game like Vigilante 8, Rogue-Trip, Carmageddon and Twisted Metal. My favorite is Mr. Grimm and Spectre I hate how the new one just get rid of a unique characters for each cars.
But the gameplay is the best in the series. They should have locked certain characters to some of the cars. Only Needles shud drive Sweet Tooth, Grimm the reaper Harley, etc.
bloody mary's Spectre from twisted metal black her homing missiles can shoot through walls and building and never miss staying locked on until it hits someone. Also minions tank from twisted metal 3 freeze and burn at the same time.
Needles Kane & sweet tooth is my favorite driver & vehicle in twisted metal. Needles Kane is totally bad-aes, and sweet tooth ice cream truck is tight, too.

Darkside had to be one of the best of the franchise. Best armor and powerful special, although the control and speed were low

Outlaw is my favorite vehicle. The Outlaw 2012 design looks like torn from the riot.

There is no true TM canon. Ask Jaffe himself. And 3 and 4 ruined what TM was all about.

They had Twister on here, which was one of the worst vehicles in TM2... Spectre was MUCH better
