The game didn't really have a plot just drive and kill. The movie gave it a story a goal and I almost didn't watch it, because of the game. I'm glad I did!!! I feel they changed, what they did, for the better. Matter a fact they should remake the game based off the movie 🍿😅
I also think that's the reason why so many things were changed. They wanted to give each character a "purpose" for existing in the tv series. I believe it was a wise move. I am looking forward to season 2 after watching the complete first season.

Before the show came out, I thought Mr. Grimm from twisted metal 2 won and that’s what caused the apocalypse. Or maybe even thumper now that I think about it. I thought the bag for the ice cream and the box we’re going to be the black box from twisted metal one the warthog agent stone we’re fighting for it was gonna reveal aliens cause the apocalypse. Also, if Raven already won the contest, I think she would just enter it. I don’t think people will get a wish in this. I think calypso says I will give you X if you win already has something in mind for each specific person since he seem to have done a lot of research on them. I don’t think he’ll be super supernatural. I think he has a lot of connections and intelligence.
Whatever canon the games had can't fit with the show. Even if you ignore the character changes, the setting change makes the show its own thing. Even the first TM game wasn't the first TM contest in universe. TM4 already contradicted previous games by having Calypso be practically immortal and had him do contests for about 100 years to that point.
Such an amazing enjoyable show. Was in love with the characters and the world. I had no expectations and I liked playing twisted metal in the past. So well done. Quite is the best 👏
I never knew this show was based on an old game series til I saw it in the credits. It may be different from the games, but it’s still a fun show to watch.
They forgot one more difference about Sweet Tooth in the TV show,Sweet Tooth doesn't have a family that he killed first and is chasing his daughter who escaped from him just like in the video game.
You missed the fact that the show's Sweet Tooth is Micheal Kane/Needles Kane, which is the son Sweet Tooth didn't kill. So technically a different Sweet Tooth taking up the mantle
I think you missed a lot on this, some right for sure, but #1 difference is Quiet as she and her brother loud are brand new characters and never in a single game what so ever, Mr. Slam he was a short hair construction worker who wanted to build, very different than the show. # 1 Quiet / Loud # 2 Mr. Slam
I like TM3!!!! I don't think is the worst in the franchise. I love all PS1 TM games. In fact, when they moved to the New generations I think it is when the franchise started to fade down
I played couple twisted metal races years ago, but i dont really remember the characters, story and what you had to to in those games. Theese series were a bit wierd and cringy at times, but I wouldnt say I really hated it. Some vfx looked really cheap. Like that storm looked awfull. Like 1999 tv show. But other than that, easy watch.

I think the video game was a bit more slapstick crazy that wouldn't be good TV so they've done well making something more fleshed out and enjoyable, I never played twisted metal but I loved the show.

Loved the show and I have played almost every video game entry. But I'm not sure why everyone keeps referring to Twisted metal 3 as the worst in the series. TM4 was clearly worse than TM3. For game play, Head-On was the best.
I haven't seen the show yet but based on the reviews it doesn't seem like it's worth watching. I finished Twisted Metal Black a couple months ago and I started Head-On recently and they're both a ton of fun so I'll just stick with the games.
I would recommend giving it a try, I had low expectations but the show surprised me. It was actually entertaining. Don’t get me wrong it’s definitely not earning a Emmy but, it’s wacky, dark and some jokes do work( there’s plenty that don’t). I’m excited for a second season if there is one and I played the games when I was a young lad. Give it at least two episode and see if you like it.
IMO they butchered Sweet Tooth in the show. He's far too comedic, then again so is basically everyone. I won't be watching the show, from what I've seen it's much too cringe. I will say they did nail ST's voice with whomever voices him.
