i noticed that you can tell how good tara is at taking criticism in this season. it's a huge difference compared to the first season. she doesn't break out into tears, she doesn't show herself irritated but instead asks what specific flaws she has.
To be fair, Tara might be one of the lest liked characters but shes the one that learns the most from her mistakes and from others feedback, this is an example, you can clearly see Saskia is going too far without constructive criticism but shes keeping her cool 👍🏻
I love Tara and Christian but, Tara needs to stop and think the next time she talks or does things. While I disagree with the relationship between Kat and Christian, I must say they were very compatible. Both had issues in their family, they both felt like rejects and they just understood each other more. Ben and Tara were more compatible too because they were both animated. Ig many people just liked Tara and Christian (including myself) because they were so different and they complimented each other well. Christian with his mystery and Tara with her enthusiasm.
If only there were boys in this world like Ben because at my school all the boys are jerks and are stupid and the only thing they care about is that damn game Fortnight. Hate it and they are not as nice as him. I love there way he is because he is so kind.

Okay, so rewatching this again for the third time....I get Saskia being jealous of a new youngest principal dancer replacing her because of her injury. But it would make more sense for her to jealous of Grace or Abigail who are more talented dancers. I know Tara is the main character, but still..
Tara is getting stupider with every waking moment - for example 18:19. Every time she feels nervous or just looks at someone while she’s dancing, she just stops like a deer in headlights. I’m a dancer, and I get stressed and nervous all the time! But I don’t stop in the middle of it because of my “feelings”. Tara really doesn’t understand priorities (according to Ms. Rain at least...). And she falls in love with almost EVERY guy she meets! And then there’s always some sort of issue and she starts screwing up the dance with them!
Tara puts all her emotion in her dance and sometimes irrelevant emotion can cross over to dance! People have different reactions, and I think she has a well balanced life. She does not date every guy she meets, she has been with only two guys. Besides you are showing some internalized misogyny.

I had a teacher or two like saskia, i know when i make mistakes 👍🏻, but i also know when i am performing perfectly 🤷🏻♀️, and also, there are videos to prove those semesters i danced super well, and yet, those envious or mean teachers told me i was literally useless 🙄, that i couldn't even walk if i tried, and that i shouldn't be in a dance career, they treated me like i was the worst thing to happen to this planet, threatening me with making me fail the assignment because of " how bad i danced", i cried everyday after classes, those teachers do exist, and they shouldn't even be alive, they are just bullies, and worse, bullies picking on younger people, is so not okay. 😒 And even if i commit mistakes as anyone, my dance level is really, really good, my posture, my leg rotation, my technique, everything is on point, i can accept if i do something wrong, totally, but i also have to be realistic, i do am a good dancer. And those teachers didn't wanna help me through harsh critique, they wanted to bully me and destroy me with fake comments and lies about my dancing, and as i said, there are videos to prove i am fine, and i can get to a better place in dancing, i am a promising dancer, and i haven't been the only one being bullied at my school, so is real, is not us dancers that suck, is mean and sadistic teachers that exist and bully us, even in other careers it happens. 🤷🏻♀️😔

Unpopular opinion: While Tara's dancing is good for her level, she needs to recognize that dance teachers go hard on those who need it and those who aren't using their full abilities. IMO I think Saskia was just telling her to round out her performance overall, and not trying to put her down. Later in this season it becomes a little more of a jealousy/toxic environment, but I think in the beginning Saskia was genuine until she broke her foot and maybe became mad because Tara was there or because Tara drew her focus away from the performance. Either way, in the end Saskia is not a good teacher but she started out with good intentions.
