My favorite part of this episode is when Christian is talking about Peter and his relationships with Tinkerbell and Wendy but really it's him and his relationships with Kat and Tara
Yeah! My heart aches a little when Christian talks about how Peter loves Wendy because she challenges him to be better than he is but he's scared of that so he gives her up. Reminds me how sad it was when Christian broke up with Tara. He seems kind of sad when he says it too like deep down he realizes that he screwed things up.
Tara pushes him to be better, that scared him, he felt like she was trying o change him but really she saw his potential and just wanted him to do his best, he now realized that, while kat is the fun girl the one who agrees witg all his bad choices, it was easy for him to run to kat when things got hard. That was the wrong choice.
Not to be rude, seriously, this is just a comment you probably won't see. To be fair, Christian wanted her back, and she said no. All that happened is he tried to overpower real feelings for Tara with real feelings for Kat. He loved both of them, he just loves Tara a little more.

Didn't take long for Christian to move on and date Kat when Tara finally moves now he's getting jealous for another guy going after her well he missed his chance and shouldn't interfer now.
I get chills whenever I rewatch the scene where Tara and Sammy are spinning the globe and Tara keeps getting Russia but Sammy keeps landing in the middle of nowhere (somewhere in the ocean). It's a subtle hint to the watchers now that I look back on it. That he's not gonna pass away. It's so sad.
Tara and Christian's chemistry when dancing Wendy and Peter. Ughhh. Them dancing pas de deux together brings back memories of first year and the beginning of second year.
The Peter Pan analogy being used to describe the Tara-Christian-Kat love triangle is absolutely spot on. Tara wasn't afraid to push Christian to be his best and believed in him completely. This added onto the fact that their relationship was growing serious very fast which ultimately scared him and led to the break up. With Kat, he gravitated towards her free-spirited nature and the laid back attitude she possessed which was the complete opposite of Tara. It all came down to Christian being scared of disappointing Tara and the potential she saw in him. She never wanted to change him but instead, challenged him to be better. His relationship with Kat and their feelings for one another needed to be addressed. At the end of the day, Christian deep down always loved Tara and the way in which it was done through this analogy is brilliant.
Christian doesn’t even know how much he loves Tara! He made the “snow” for Tara at the formal, S1, now he is with Kat, his special idea is horror movie 5 nights in a row, with all their friends, they didn’t even sit together and snuggled up, doesn’t even bother to take her to the winter festival even she specifically asked for it! He can’t even finish his sentences when Kat broke up with him! “I am not still (in love with Tara)”, “I don’t want to be with (Tara)”, as if it would be a fact if he said it out loud.
Exactly. That's why I hate his character, because anytime Tara's dating someone, he decides that's the moment to step in and get her back. He did that with Ethan, even though I didn't like her with him. And now with Ben, don't even get me started about him in season three.
i just love how kat immediately finds an excuse for abigail's absence although abigail probably didn't even tell her about her date. i love the subtle hints on their reblooming friendship later. it's so precious
I think the only person Sammy truly loved romantically was Abigail. Edit: not trying to sound like one of those people, but I have to admit that I’m surprised many people agree with me.😂
O'nnely Massini romantically, I think you're absolutely right! Ollie and him weren't a good match. Him and Abigail were great and loved each other a lot. I think he never really stopped loving her. In a platonic way, he loved others too (Tara, Kat, Christian, Ben, his family)
i agree, although i think that his relationship with ollie was still very important for his character because, although it wasnt the best relationship, it allowed him to grow and come to terms with his sexuality.

I love the fact that Abigail needing to have a "practice date" really ended up meaning that her and Sammy got to have a date at the aquarium. And the date just cracks me up - her being so serious about memorizing fish facts, and not knowing to just sit and admire the fish, saying, "to feel superior to the animals" - the whole thing is priceless!
And, I love that Sammy as usual sees how wonderful she is - saying why do you need to impress this guy, that he should be impressed enough going out with her. :)

I think she got with him because she have always had a crush on him, but deep down she knew he still love tara. The signs were there, from the start she just choose to look past them.
I dance everyday at college and if I was to say I can't dance because of a period I would be laughed at 😂 you have to dance when on your period you can't take a week out every month for it ahaha
Am rewatching Dance Academy again and one thing I've noticed this time is how much Sammy's arc this season reminds me of Into the Woods. Because a point about the Musical Into the Woods is that when characters leave that story, it's always after they've reached the point where they truly know who they are and don't have any big life lessons to learn. Sammy has become more and more mature and wise and learned so much about himself during season 2 and here he is at the part where his talent is acknowledged, where his father has accepted his dancing, where he is re-finding love with Abigail; at this point in the story he more than everyone else truly knows who he is and that is also where a character leaves a story. In that aspect Sammy's arc is like the arc of the Baker's Wife in Into the Woods; a point that I hope makes sense if anyone reads this post and is both into Dance Academy and Musical Theatre, something that shouldn't be that impropable. Even if one doesn't know Into the Woods, though I feel that the resemblance makes sense; the way I feel that people often leaves a story when they reach the point where they've learned the big lessons they were supposed to learn and their arc is told all the way.
love sammy and tara scenes. don't get to see much of them together in episodes but this one we see them together more. it's lovely. they deserved more screen time together. tara is the main main character. she should really be the one with the most scenes with the other characters
