Seriously! Shouldn’t Miss Rain be able to tell the difference between constructive criticism and actually tearing you down? What Saskia did was tearing Tara down! I’ll admit she and Grace should have just taken that recording to her (or just Grace alone might have been better) but still. And the way Saskia looked at Tara at the end makes it clear she wasn’t going to let it go.
Of course they will always take the side of the teacher. That sucks.
If she can't take criticism, constructive or otherwise, you shouldn't get into the dance industry that's a part of it. And I'm not condoning the teacher being abusive, but the character needed thicker skin. My opinion dobt come for me thanks 😊

@@itskleoxo You’re totally missing the point. There is a difference between constructive criticism and literal abuse. Saskia continuously put Tara down for no reason not just in terms of dancing but also in her personal life as well, she couldn’t even tell Tara what she was doing wrong and she even made several comments insulting Tara and her relationship with Christian. And you also seem to be forgetting the part where Saskia literally snapped Tara’s spine in the next episode, an injury that essentially ended Tara’s career before it had even begun.

Plus, Tara still ditched Abigail when, essentially, rumors were spread, with no basis in evidence, that Abigail had broken her shoes. When Tara confronted Abigail, Abigail denied it and Tara still ditched her for Grace. Tara honestly seems like a kiss-up, two-faced girl on the show.
Miss Raine isn't much better though. In situations, such as when her goddaughter goes to her with concerns about Abby, she sides with her goddaughter and Abby should have involved an impartial party and accused Miss Raine of nepotism in the situation. Recording the comments Grace made and Miss Raine would have given her good evidence to present to an impartial party, such as the Board, etc.
The favoritism aspect is really prevalent at this dance school. Sir Jeffrey favors two-faced females like Saskia and the one who replaces him does not.
However, It's still a very entertaining show to watch.
The only thing I did like about him was that he acknowledged the situation with 'the favorites' getting all the attention. There seems to be truth in this with how two-faced Saskia is, etc. It's possible that his bluntness and rudeness was, in a sense, putting the ones who pick the favorites in their proper place. Still, entitlement dotted his every word.
However, etiquette is etiquette and I don't like how Ollie comes across in the show. It crosses the line of entitlement and rudeness even if it is putting those who play favoritism in their place.
When did Saskia start hating Tara?

HOW DID TARA "ATTACK SAKSIA"????? Saskia said those things out of her own free will, and she always treated Tara like that, Tara didn't even provoke her, all she did was press record.

growing up is realizing that although miss raine came thru for all of them in the end, she failed them as their teacher and principal when they were her students. reality of the ballet world.
Never noticed that at 6:39 - 6:45, when Grace says "Saskia's pretty good at turning on the nice when she needs to", we see her putting on a picture of Grace! The show is hinting that Grace is also good at being nice when she has to
I know Saskia is a company dancer, but she isn't a teacher. So it baffles me that no one is sitting in on the class, because we all know Saskia wouldn't have the balls to talk to Tara like that if someone else was there
Actually company dancer can teach students without supervision if they have previous experience teaching.

I really don’t think Saskia has reasons to fear that Tara (a super talented, but yet a second year student) takes her spot. I think it’s the fact that she fears she won’t recover from her feet and for some reason she needed something - someone - to blame for this. If you remember, Saskia actually was pretty nice with Tara before her accident on stage. On that scene, you’ll see that when she is in pain she looks Tara in the eyes. I think that’s when she made her a target for her pain, since she was so similar to her and had the future in front of her. It think it was just too much pain and frustration that made her unload on Tara.
Also, the dance career is like win or lose, and I think there should be more psychological support on dancers. Saskia was an example of someone that wasn’t mentally well to teach during that time.
Of course, this doesn’t excuse her for abusing a student, but it’s my perspective on her behavior.
Honestly I really commend Abigail for not getting mad at Tara for being manipulated by Grace.
Kat's lesson is so real and hit hard that, I wish no youngsters or young adults need to go through this......

I know that the dance world is very tough (and it’s one of the reasons that I have OCD and I am a perfectionist), but I believe that Saskia has something against Tara and I’m just don’t know what it is. Because I can see the emotion on Tara’s face, and her movements are very fluid (at least most of the time)!
It's because she feels threatened by Tara and is afraid that her title will be taken away from her
She was the youngest person acccepted at the Company. Tara is pretty young and talented so I think she felt threatened that she might stole that from her.
I still don't like how everyone got mad at Tara rather than Saskia. And ms. Raine making Tara apologize and not Saskia.
Of course Tara was wrong to post it because of grace but like come on really ms raine doesn't see what was wrong with how saskia treats her and especially when Tara breaks her back she still took saskias side knowing this happened as well

it baffled me that miss rain was blaming tara for what saksia was saying and doing to her . she only ever picked on tara , torn her tried ruin her confidence and her a dancer , how miss rain didn’t see that?! is beyond me . saksia was being unprofessional even admitted taking her anger out on tara because of bad news she received which was not right . their is a huge difference between giving someone critical feedback and just flat out being mean and a bully .

Ellie Robinson I'm actually not. I'm not the biggest fan of him in relationships. I know he grew up getting pushed away, but that doesn't mean he should push others away. For some reason I really like Ben and some people may say he's all jokes, but those are the people that haven't seen his true side yet. I love that he can be so happy and optimistic in all of his horrible times he faces.

I used to dance. I was getting really good and then one day my body just said "stop." I couldn't physically do it.
Watching other people dance can really just make you wanna jump out of your own skin with frustration when that's your life.
I'm getting better now, so I'm lucky. But when someone isn't going to get better? Who knows what they would do.
Not saying it's an excuse for mistreatment of others, but I really can understand that Saskia is processing her life.

Saskia is unprofessional, many people go through different struggles in their life but they do not take out on strangers (i.e., non-family or friends). She is repeatedly out of line and jealously is a very very ugly trait. She never provides constructive feedback which is exactly what a teacher should do.

Tara wasn’t attacking Saskia with that video and Saskia wasn’t giving criticism, that was pure bullying. She literally asked for specific feedback which she didn't give.
