What is Dawson doing cost us both goals, always parries it into danger , an corner no excuse straight at him almost both feet still rooted to floor , an aimlessly swings one arm at it when it's too late. Not good enough at this level
A fair assessment of this game this evening. Yes we played well. We played some great football. Especially the build up to Patterson's goal. Bannan has a great visualisation of the game to find Harris who then assisted Patterson with a strong header. Points to work on for Sheffield Wednesday. The Goalkeeper...Dawson should not be starting. Yes he is good but he doesn't fill me with confidence when faced with top class strikers. I agree for the first goal the parry was such a mistake. We have a strong defence but if we are to survive then we will need Westwood. However I know this is not part of Monks plans. Another thing is Hunt. He should not have started it should have been Pelupessey from the start. Hunt is a boy playing in a mans game and the inexperience showed. 40 games left to play out of 46. We still have a poor home record and so far it has been 2 wins, 2 Draws and 2 Losses...make of this what you will guys. Still early days but they should address the problems even when the smallest of cracks are appearing. UTO
Ive watched the strike he parried a few times and TBH I think the keeper did well to even parry it. It was some hit from their no 22. Can't blame him for the second either. We had the smallest man on the pitch marking super hot Toney.
@@chrisd0407 Thanks John. I will have a look again at what you mentioned. I really didn't want to come across as negative about Dawson. His loyalty to the club is unwavering. I just feel the Owls have always had strong goalkeepers from Chris Woods to Kevin Pressman etc. We need that big presence in goal and someone who doesn't make us nervous. I know Cameron is a young lad but he needs to start thinking about being up there with the Premiership keepers.
I still can't believe Brentford's 1st goal. Is it don't put it around the post for a corner, because a corner is just as good as a penalty ? 9 times out of 10 if the ball came out to defender, he would put it out for a corner, because in that situation he would be under pressure .
It's simply basic stuff and we totally struggle....players still not good enough devoid of idears a goalkeeper that costs us more than saves us...nothing more than 3pts Saturday or we are in massive trouble
Cannot understand a premier league quality goalkeeper sitting on the bench! really need a Di Canio/Carbone kind of live wire creative player in attack. So so slow and cannot see to many wins with a goal a game ratio.
@@ollyje9667 Absolutely, young player, and has great potential. Something just seems to be missing when we have Dawson in net, organisation at the back isn’t great either
not Dawsons biggest fan but Brentford are a far better team fact .far too much time and space in front of goal to line a shot up no pressure at all on the ball under 11 mistakes from so called championship players.conceding a goal straight from a regulation corner is pathetic.you are told to pick up a player and make sure he doesnt get a strike on goal.the ball is past Dawson before he can react.poor poor defending at any level.Also can any one explain why we sign a player who is recovering from a bad injury clearly months from any level of fitness .dont you have to pass a fitness test before signing a contract?
