I've never in all my 20 years of life watched and listened to something that makes me want to get up, forget about the haters and dance... but right here right now, lying on my bed with 50 chins watching the screen, it is all I want to do!
Just seen this on Jools Holland for the first time, am entranced and besotted!! At the age of 54! Her voice is effortless and the dance moves are captivating. A new fan :if anyone wants me I will be binge watching her on RUclips!!! Xx
Ditto - saw her on Jools the other day for the first time and have been completely mesmerised ever since. The moves, the music, her voice, that base line that throbs in and out - all staggeringly beautiful.
The first time I saw Christine and the Queens perform Tilted I was simply amazed at the dancing skill and creativity and knew immediately they would become very famous. Still fabulous to watch again many years later.
Every now and then you hear songs/music which grabs you from the first tone, pulls you in with each beat and fuses with your soul by the end. First one I remember was Wuthering heights by Kate Bush when I heard it on the radio a long long time ago. This is one of those. I saw this when it was originally broadcast. I was utterly fascinated by the song itself, and the performance to boot? Wow. Instant fan.
This woman is fantastic!! Musically a breath of fresh air! The dancing is mesmerizing! What's not to like!?! I shall be mainly watching Christine and The Queens for sometime!
+Pierre Einaudi Nothing bad and no reflection on French people. I was referring to French music. Other than Daft Punk my knowledge is fairly limited. It is great to see such a bad ass tune coming from your country. She is totally awesome! The choreography makes it even more amazing and is so fitting to the music. Can see influences from MJ.
+James Barron yes she's been a true phenomenon in France for the last two years or so and now she starts singing in English and touring in the US ! A gifted artist with a strong identity ! Yes there's obviously MJ in her influences. Keep an eye on her ! Cheers
I'm a new Chris fan. I don't listen to a lot of contemporary music anymore, so often look to things like Glastonbury to see what great and unique performers are out there. Having watched her Glasto 2019 performance I realised there are a few songs I knew - and already liked, but now I love all her songs. And of course I'm on a RUclips binge to find more. And Chris does not disappoint. I just love the fact that not only is she is a strong songwriter and signer, but her moves - her moves are SWEET! And I love she is confident in herself to be as sensual as she wants to be, playful and all round amazing! As someone earlier on this video comment thread said "if that doesn't make you want to get up and dance....". I mean at Glastonbury it was "Nasty Girls" by Janet Jackson and now seeing this to Chaka Khan's "Feel for You" I've got to say "Chris, J'adore, J'Taime, Magnifique!"
Big thanks to Elton John for sharing his favorite music on Jools Holland, knew Tilted from the radio but this live performance blew me away, can't stop playing it.
Isn't nice such a relief to hear a song sung instead of shouted? I guess those that can, do, and those that can't, just shout instead. This track.... Truly soul melting, mind blowing, heart warming, positive, human, smiling, makes me want to dance , sing, and be that force in my own life to make my own life this good.
+Miss DeeDee They were great! It made a change from the usual boring performances on Later... (and don't get me started on the total tedium of Jools' interviews). Here's hoping for more fun this series. Babymetal?
She is a breath of fresh air and much needed in a music industry that's become sterile. I think there are other people out there like her but the industry likes to stay with the same tried and tested format and anybody who doesn't tow the line doesn't get a look in. I would bet that she is very protective of her art and music and wouldn't back down to any record company's demands. I really do wish her well and look forward to hearing more of her music.
The French female singer Héloïse Letissier (30) has said that Michael Jackson was a huge inspiration (obviously). Their 2014 debut album _Chaleur Humaine_ (human warmth) captured the attention of Madonna and Elton John (to name a few) and was named one of the best albums of the year by many prominent music critics (Mojo, The Guardian). Héloïse is a fluent English speaker.
her voice is hauntingly beautiful just a stunning tone its captivates and takes you away on a journey with jer that singers seldom achieve just amazing
Mind-blowingly good, what an introduction to Chris when this was broadcast. Not usually into dance, but this was something I'd not seen before, a kind of urban ballet. Beautiful all round.
fantastic - superb song - awesome choreography - not this over powered, crumpy face stuff you often see on stage - cool, relaxed, unique and funny - perfect dancers - go Christine - more like this :D
Nice one Jools , quite possibly would never have got to hear about this artist if it wasn't for your program. I googled her afterwards got tickets for the Roundhouse Camden last night and I have to say she absolutely smashed it !!!
It's an amazing song, loved it on first listen. I'm generally indifferent to dance routines, but this just connects somehow. I keep coming back to it to try and work out why, and I still can't, but it's still wonderful.
I only discovered her on Jools Holland, but now I'm fairly obsessed and have watched as many of her perfomances and interviews as I can find on youtube. Prefer the original version of this 'Christine', but it's still a spectacular performance. Dancers are also superb. She is, and is going to be, something special.
Prince wrote 'I feel for you' and it appeared on his 1979 album. The 'Chaka Khan' version, that you hear, here was produced by Prince, for her 1984 album. C & the Q's performed this on Later... in the week of Prince's death, as a tribute.
+Robert Guest Indeed, I spent my entire life thinking it was a Chaka Khan song ha ha...I knew about Sinead O Connor and the Bangles but on this one I'm just stunned. Thanks for making me aware of this.
she was absolutely brilliant/ best thing i have seen for a very long time, very exciting. this is the future of music and dance, loved the prince tribute at the end, fantastic dance choreography and great combination of contemporary dance mixed with hip hop loved it x
Glad this is the video from the 1/2 hour Thurs Night episode of Jools Holland, with the tribute at the end, it was cut from the full show on the Sat night. Still enjoy watching it
I remember watching this live on Jools Holland and thinking this is easily one of the best performances I've ever seen on there.
Same. An jools has some top guests so thats saying something.
I agree mind blowing performance.
When it came on, my first thought was 'what the hell is this shit'? After a minute I was humming and rocking along to it saying how great it was.
Totally.
Just watched the New Years 20/21show. Tonight. Very good.
I've never in all my 20 years of life watched and listened to something that makes me want to get up, forget about the haters and dance... but right here right now, lying on my bed with 50 chins watching the screen, it is all I want to do!
spot on
Great comment Raz!

Pure perfection,the song,her voice,the choreography.This is art!

Loved her from the moment I heard her, beautiful voice and talented artist.
Totally amazing. The way the choreography seems to flow right from the music AND the lyrics. Brilliant.
Those specific dancers are super talented and express the moves so beautifully...
Just seen this on Jools Holland for the first time, am entranced and besotted!! At the age of 54! Her voice is effortless and the dance moves are captivating. A new fan :if anyone wants me I will be binge watching her on RUclips!!! Xx
Hey Me too ! Just watched it on Jools Holland replayed it about 10 times and then searched it on here like you
Ditto - saw her on Jools the other day for the first time and have been completely mesmerised ever since. The moves, the music, her voice, that base line that throbs in and out - all staggeringly beautiful.
I’m 62 and absolutely love this. 😍😍😍
Saw it last night on Jools brilliant
I love you guys
The first time I saw Christine and the Queens perform Tilted I was simply amazed at the dancing skill and creativity and knew immediately they would become very famous. Still fabulous to watch again many years later.
What a talented performer...can't stop watching this ...mesmerising.
Rehearsed to death, to look utterly effortless. A joy to watch people who love their craft.🥰🥰
Every now and then you hear songs/music which grabs you from the first tone, pulls you in with each beat and fuses with your soul by the end.

This woman is fantastic!! Musically a breath of fresh air! The dancing is mesmerizing! What's not to like!?! I shall be mainly watching Christine and The Queens for sometime!
She's an it now
Born a man
By far the best performance ever on Jools. We need more of this in our lives.
Such an iconic performance and breakthrough on Later
She could sing the recipe for Rice Krispies and still make it sound cool.
Saw her tonight on Graham Norton, now obsessed!
Me too!
Me three! She's great :)
and me!
Me four. Amazing!
And me! ❤️
I cannot stop watching this.....That view count is probably 80% me.
and me!!!
And don't forget, it's all about me!
Comment is only 2 years old and 80% of the views would account for about 5 years consecutively watching
Hello! Claps to you :) I was thinking the same thing
Just got this now. Probably listen to it about 10 times a day. ! Immense
The dancers are awesome
Amazing. Totally mesmerising. I can not stop watching it...and she is French!!!
+James Barron Haha what do you mean by this ? ;)
+Pierre Einaudi Nothing bad and no reflection on French people. I was referring to French music. Other than Daft Punk my knowledge is fairly limited. +James Barron please try Jeanne Added and The Do, they are also Amazing like Christine :)
She's great. A major artist has arrived.
I'm a new Chris fan. I don't listen to a lot of contemporary music anymore, so often look to things like Glastonbury to see what great and unique performers are out there. the best performance I have ever seen, can't stop watching it, love you christine
Her name is Heloise Letissier
Great rythymic play off all through this, the way the vocal line bounces off of the backing, pure joy.😝
She is so sooo talented, when I first watched this I knew she was a star.
I.keep coming back to this performance, there's something magical about it.
Big thanks to Elton John for sharing his favorite music on Jools Holland, knew Tilted from the radio but this live performance blew me away, can't stop playing it.
I love this song and the choreography so much!
Christine, you're awesome. I first saw you at Coachella's and now I just can't stop listening to your songs. Congrats from Brazil.
+Widson Santos welcome to the club ! ;)
What on earth are you harping on about. Are the charts full of songs that don't have any singing in them? Must have missed that
She is so refreshing. Love her!
There are not many people on this planet who have the genuine ability to change how we feel when listening to music, Heloise is one of them!
This will always be of those moments when an artist is projecting their purest form of expression. It's human art and it's beautiful and wonderful
I absolutely love this performance!
+Miss DeeDee They were great! It made a change from the usual boring performances on Later... (and don't get me started on the total tedium of Jools' interviews). Here's hoping for more fun this series. Babymetal?

Found this completely by accident but LOVE it !
This is in every sence of the word Art! True artistry at its best.
;)
One of best performances ever on jools. Fantastic
Can’t understand a single word. Don’t care. Bloody amazing! Bonjour!
I have hearing loss and watch stuff with the subtitles on, just watched her on Jools Holland, you would never have guessed the lyrics!!!
This is actually the English version. There's abit of French. It took me a few listens to catch it, but it's brilliant even if don't understand it.
I've lost count how many times I have watched this, love the song and the dancing. Beautiful looking young lady.well done
To those hundred or so " thumbs downers" , I feel sorry for you. This is joyous, original,a little eccentric, and brilliant all day long.
This is sheer brilliance - best thing i've seen or heard for ages!
It's like a mass cooling down relax fear nothing tune. Love it.
;)
This manages to make everything else out there seem suddenly passé. So chic, so cool, and so French. Must be something in the croissants.
its actually spelled cwas---saunts
yw
Mind-blowingly good, what an introduction to Chris when this was broadcast. Not usually into dance, but this was something I'd not seen before, a kind of urban ballet. Beautiful all round.

Et aussi Prince! "I feel for you" est une chanson que Prince a écrit!
+Dr Rapunzel Chaka Khan?
Prince wrote 'I feel for you' and it appeared on his 1979 album. The 'Chaka Khan' version, that you hear, here was produced by Prince, for her 1984 album. C & the Q's performed this on Later... in the week of Prince's death, as a tribute.
