I would be lost without my dehydrator, I dehydrate everything possible , it's also great for freeing up freezer space, as I'm trying not to rely on the freezer, just incase of power cuts. Thanks Karen. XX
@Grant Jones Thanks that's great news. I have the fridge with the small freezer at the bottom and small chest in my pantry room. I'm looking forward to the space. 🤗
@Grant Jones I started saving pickle jars, lol. One of my prepping channels uses multiple items to store things. But thanks Grant I think I'm going to love this bc I spend so much on buying dehydrated vegs. I'm a huge soup and salad kinda girl 😉
I love mine too have a 9 tray being so hot now I have mine on the patio so not to heat house up.Been dehydrating my garden veggies.remember to let your food set a least 1 hour after taking out to cool down before putting in a jar are once sealed it will go bad. Have a lovely day
I am using mine for veggies fruit and herbs. Using frozen veggies eliminates need for blanching. Wasn't sure at first but so glad I have mine. Helps free up freezer space. I reuse jars that have tight screw lids and have had no spoilage.
I've just brought a 2nd hand one for £12. I need to get some silicone sheets as the gaps on the trays are too big for peas etc. Thanks for mentioning what the sheets were
I got one last month. It is a game changer. No more wastage of fresh food spoiling before I ma age to use it up. Darcy in RUclips is great too. The purposeful pantry. I think I heard you mention her too.
Frozen vegetables are much cheaper here than fresh. Except for green, leafy vegetables, onions, peppers, and celery, frozen are generally the way I go when I dehydrate.
I've been having a good look at what I eat ..fresh..carrots and squash.. pepper's.. peas.. if food going to be expensive it might be worth saving seeds now for next year .. As long as they are English grown the seeds should be ok .. foreign items /imports are treated so they might not grow.. si I'm led to believe..definitely on the look out for a dehydrator like yours
I make great cup of soup mixes in my dehydrator. Much easier since I found out that when you make instant soup mixes, you have to cook the veg first, dehydrate it and then make your mixes. First lot I made, the soup bit was lovely but the veg was like grit as it wasn't cooked.

The space difference is definitely a big plus
My Son an DL got me a dehydrator and I still haven't used it. You made it look so easy. I have to do this... Thanks for sharing 😊
Oh Raquel you really do need to start using it, think of the space you would save.

I am waiting for it to cool down a bit tonight and hopefully I should be able to get things done then

Good to hear Shiva, I am reusing jars as well, fingers crossed for no spoilage here either

Yassss, love my dehydrator 💗
I'm still debating if I need a dehydrator...It will be perfect for drying out soft fruit for adding to cereal or baking or even drying out herbs.
That super powder is also great for getting veggies into kids without them knowing
I would like to dry out seeds for planting out next year .. peas .. corn ..sweet pepper
oh, I never thought of that, must go investigate, thanks for that

I have done that as well, I powdered my veg so the first half of the cup was lovely and as I got to the bottom it was a thicker mush lol
Nice! 👍👍
