  • Creo offers two powerful commands for creating complex 3D features with blended surfaces: Rotational Blend and Boundary Blend. While both involve blending, they cater to different design approaches.
    Rotational Blend:
Function: Creates a revolved solid by blending two or more sketched profiles around a specified axis.
Applications: Ideal for designing components with rotational symmetry, such as bottles, gears, or nozzles.
Profile Selection: Requires selection of two or more closed sketch profiles that define the cross-sections of the blended solid.
Axis Selection: You define an axis of revolution about which the profiles will be rotated and blended.
Blend Control: Creo offers options to control the tangency or continuity between the profiles at their connection points, influencing the smoothness of the blend.
Solid or Surface Creation: Rotational Blend can generate a solid feature or a non-solid blended surface, depending on your selection.
    Boundary Blend:
Function: Creates a blended surface by transitioning between multiple selected curves or edges on an existing solid model.
Applications: Useful for creating smooth transitions between existing features, organic shapes, or complex filleted corners.
Boundary Selection: You select multiple curves or edges on the existing solid model that will define the boundaries for the blended surface.
Surface Creation: Boundary Blend always generates a non-solid surface feature that smoothly connects the selected boundaries.
Advanced Options: Creo offers advanced options for controlling the blend tangency, adding guide curves to influence the surface shape, and specifying trimming behavior.
