@@AliceVFame Unfortunately, women have to be the one to lead men away from these manosphere channels. There are some who are too captured & won't escape, but many young men are just confused. Like many young women they come from broken homes, so lack proper role modeling.
When I was growing up, my mother stressed that a woman was responsible for guiding a man & the success of a relationship rested on a woman. I rebelled against that growing up, I thought that's a lot of work to put on a woman. Now that I'm married, I see the wisdom in that advice. I give my husband 100% of my attention regarding his business & plans for our future. I'm honoring him as a man and the protector of our household. He does all the cooking & we share the cleaning of the house together. So, we are equal partnerships & he does listen to my business challenges as well.
Many young women spend 10+ years of Tinder trying to find a connection & many are left cynical and bitter. Embrace some of our past nurturing, compassion, and sweetness and you might find that you are richly rewarded. Most men are willing to meet one halfway, but they don't want to sign up for losing 70% of their income for a cynical bitter woman.

There is nothing wrong with wearing a color that your man likes. Goodness. It doesn't mean you always and only wear what he likes and it certainly doesn't mean wearing a color you hate. It's just acknowledging and caring what your partner likes. Women certainly have opinions on what men wear and we would appreciate a man dressing nice for us.
Honestly I found in my single years that dressing for the male gaze (horror) has actually helped me dress in more flattering ways.

I would have assumed red, pink and black in the top three. I think it also depends on the fit as the Scandinavian masculine tailoring doesn’t usually bring attention to a woman’s figure. Men are visual creatures and I agree it’s fabulous that women dress as they please but it’s nice when men and women give you compliments 😊. Interestingly, women compliment me most in green and I get most compliments when in pink, red and black. My Husband seems to like a lot of colours on me but has an aversion to masculine styles.
I do think we should say that to be fair, most women like men in suits, to balance this 😁

After a few years of exploring seasonal colour analysis, I have leaned towards colours of the autumn palettes (still not settled on which subseason and also enjoy some Warm Spring colours). Ultimately he was right all along, I look great in warm and earthy colours! After 51 years of marriage to the same man, I have to say that a lasting loving union is based on care and respect for each other. Both have responsibility to stay in a place of respect and attraction to the other. I’ve seen for so many years that as time passes, many lose care for what their partner, whom they say they love, thinks about the way they look and behave. This shows neither love, care, or respect. I would encourage consideration of this principle if one wants a successful relationship rather than disdain and dismissal.

I’m a True Winter and even before learning about color theory I always gravitated toward hot pink, fuchsia, lots of black, high contrast. I’ve definitely had partners in the past who wanted me to wear softer colors to fit their idea of femininity. Luckily my current bf loves my style and tells me all the time how good I look in all my favorite colors from my palette. I even taught him about color theory and helped him figure out his palette! Now he buys new stuff only in his colors and we coordinate for special occasions. It’s so much more fun this way!

I think the answer is to teach more men about color analysis! It's almost always geared toward women!!! When I first told my husband about color analysis, he said, "that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard." One year later, after I've fully embraced my autumn colors, he sincerely tells me (daily) that the colors I wear now make me look better than I've EVER looked...and we met when we were baby faced 18-year-olds! I wear my new colors for me...but it also feels good knowing that my spouse notices as well. There's nothing wrong with that. We've decided he's probably a winter, and so he's trying to incorporate winter colors in his wardrobe, and its adorable (and also he looks better than ever, too!).

What's the point of getting married if ,"you don't need no man"?

I certainly don’t care what men IN GENERAL like because they usually like all the colors that look terrible on me - black, deep red, etc. I think that is what Sara means is pleasing men in general versus her husband or close circle. Men IN GENERAL have historically seen women as conquests. Obviously not all men 😊, but women dressing more with dignity and for what THEY feel right wearing is better than trying to please men in order to be a good catch. I am happy to hear when my husband or a close friend or relative likes the colors I am wearing but I don’t use that as the basis for the colors I choose. I have to feel good in it or I feel yucky the whole day.

Hi ladies at 52 I'm probably age wise between you both. I think this was supposed to be a fun thing and is very reminiscent of magazine surveys in the eighties and nineties. Wearing a colour or clothing item your partner (of whatever gender) likes isn't offensive or unusual and is really just part of being in a relationship. Dressing entirely for someone else's opinion is a different matter altogether and not healthy at all. My partner has never ever said he doesn't like any specific colour on me, but has said a particular garment wasn't his favourite of what I own 😂. It's not something I pay too much attention to however it's usually something I am not a hundred percent sure of either 😂. Red was always going to be the favourite and has been for as long as I can remember in this type of survey. Best wishes x

It’s a little annoying to those who have outgrown it and cringe recognizing it in another but most women have been there sometime in their life. What disappointment has to do with it I don’t know. Her coping mechanisms to the societal expectations for women have literally no bearing on anything. It’s her experience and has nothing to do with you.

Hmm, neither yellow nor orange made the list, lol. Now, I think every person has their favorite colors, and of course, you can influence your SO to prefer wearing those colors. However, I also think it flows the other way: If I look fabulous in a pumpkin color, my SO is going to start liking me in pumpkin, because of how radiant I look. On the other hand, these "male-preferred" (so problematically binary, btw) colors aren't exactly ground-breaking: the human eye prefers shades of green, red has always been eye-catching and a symbol of danger and desire, purple dye was hard to get a hold of in antiquity, and the other colors complete the rainbow, so... duh. I'm not going to cut off my nose to spite my face, and say that I won't wear these colors only because a bunch of throw-backs showed a preference for them. As a 58-year-old feminist, I can relate to both points of view: I want to look attractive in my husband's eyes, and I also want to wear the colors that suit me best. Hubby loves this vicious, intense, purple blue color, but I'm never going to wear it- it doesn't suit me. He knows it, and we admire the color from afar :) BTW, I love reading/remembering and laughing at snippets of womanly advice from yesteryear (and not so long ago): Helen Gurley Brown, Gloria Vanderbilt, and a darling little list from the 50s(?) that went viral about having the children bathed and putting on a fresh dress to greet your husband when he gets home because he's had a hard day and doesn't want to hear screaming or fighting when he walks through the door :) The saran wrap thing was gold, though (like she's a piece of meat or something?) I'm surprised they didn't suggest opening the door in just and apron, lol!

Exactly! If Sarah is going to be so insufferable on this topic, she should have let Lucinda host it without her. She is acting like a little girl who is still in her cootie phase. Some women out there want to attract their future husband. She is fortunate to have found hers.

So...we want to wear what looks good on us (in others' eyes)...EXCEPT our significant other? Doesn't that defeat the purpose?
Don't get me wrong; I'm a feminist, I bring home the bacon, and I dress the way I want (and my husband is fine w/ it). But if I'm trying to put my best appearance foot forward, he'd be the 1st one whose opinion I'd care about. Just sayin'.

I can't believe Sarah's man hating attitude! I'm on here to figure out wife's coloring so I can buy her flattering Christmas gifts. I cherish my wife but if she acted like this I sure wouldn't! I thought you were a nice girl at first because you seemed kind and sensitive to say things like, "let's not say your WORST color....." and then this vlog!! It's a wonder you're even married!! I feel sorry for your husband if this is how you treat him! And you're very disrespectful to your mother! And she let's you get away with it because she loves you.
