I've only ever driven one Range Rover it was a 70 plate 3 litre. It's only then I properly appreciated the beautiful seats and refinement. The car itself might be from 2013 but still looks stunning

Hi... been told by RR specialist that the 4.4 engine is no longer made... so getting hold of a new engine or parts is very difficult at the moment.... and is only likely to get worse.... but looks a good car.

the v8 is quite reliable to be honest, its mainly the electrics.

I do find it odd that an awful lot of these newer, more expensive cars don’t have double glazed windows but a 2009 Citroën C5 does

and that car came with pillowy air suspension too lmao

Because if you have an accident with double glazed glass and a fire breaks out, you cannot break the glass. Horrible safety threat.

The parking spaces in Britain are so small. Even for normal cars (which keep getting bigger), the spaces are tight. Who owns a car that hasn’t been hit by other doors. So, my local Tescos resurfaced their car park and then repainted the lines to the standard small size. I shop somewhere else. We need bigger spaces for our new cars. So easy to park in American car parking spaces.

Good video. I definitely agree with you on that the engine feels like it’s holding back and is almost waiting to be remapped. I drove a 19 plate Range Rover sport with the same engine and it was quick but considering the sd6 had 306hp compared to 340hp, I could see why people went for the V6. I guess a benefit is that the engine isn’t stressed much, so when buying second hand, it might be more reliable than its replacement which is the straight 6 D350 which is probably under more stress.

The straight 6 is a bmw diesel so it’s probably more reliable

@@AHM_ALB Ohh really! I didn’t know that. Do you know anything about remaps with the D350?

@@Adamlllllllllllljjjljljjjjj sorry! Im actually mistaken. The new straight six is an ingenium engine designed by JLR.
See i got a-bit confused with the new 2023 rangerover because that now has the 4.4 litre twin-turbo petrol derived from BMW. So i thought JLR had also adopted the inline 6 diesel from BMW but im mistaken.
Although yes the new inline six is made by JLR which I’m quite surprised by, and I’m sure it is much more reliable than the outgoing v6.

@@AHM_ALBMost Modern Land Rovers are reliable, save that the 3.0 TDV6/SDV6 engines have issues with crankshafts snapping.

Great Video! This affirms my concerns with ownership and practicability. Would you say the BMW X5 is your preferred choice Luxury SUV ? Or anything else that would be better?

the bmw x5 or audi q7 are best bang for buck i’d say.

Hey man! what do you think about the beige interior? I found a RR sport with beige interior for a steal, but kinda hesitant since I never had a car with beige interior and I have heard some bad stuff about it.

Many people say this but I have never found this to be an issue in my vogue. I think because it has lots of glass and visibility it is extremely easy to drive I found that the vogue feels smaller than the sport.
