    Outstanding combination between driver skills with the machine.
    But i wonder how did you get the right codec for the turtle... .

      I also don't know how to answer you. I think you have to ask the Disco instead 🤔

    Bravo , very hard terrain, super Disco, super Driver , I fitted to mine the cdl , with the traction control, best wishes from France

      Thank you so much.
      Indeed with the cdl included as in yours. The crossing will be much better.
      I also plan to replace my transfer case with that of the Defender to kill two birds with one stone.
      The first would therefore be to have the cdl of course and the second would then be to change the ratio from 1.22 to 1.41 to switch to 33" wheels. I previously made the +2" spacers and many other things that I will post in the next video. Stay tuned!

      Yes, the rims are 16.
      Tires are 29s. I'll replace them by 32s with additional lift.

    Low Range 2 & 3 would have been a better gear selection..

    • @x5or
      @x5or  Год назад

      I fully agree with you. I redid a second attempt in second gear non stop but with a good acceleration to avoid stalling the engine. The climb was too steep on some sections. I then felt a very clear difference.
      Second very important remark and above all unexpected but this time during the descent (3:47) in lowrange first gear + hdc the vehicle slid sideways on the very soft ground. However, during the second attempt I engaged second gear in hdc and the behavior of the Disco became very stable again.
      Sometimes it seems that even on too steep a descent and depending on the nature of the ground, you have to let the vehicle roll relatively fast for better control! So those were the two lessons I learned from this outing and especially the last one.

    traction control is good sometimes but can also be a pain in technical terrain when you need to go slow with low revs or on very slippery hills my brother has put the cdl in his d2 and a switch to turn off the tc makes it way better to drive

    • @x5or
      @x5or  Год назад

      Indeed, the TC is only useful a few times and cannot in any case allow the crossing of rocky terrain. The best would be to equip yourself with front and rear differential lockers or at least fit a transfer case with a CDL.
