I am 55 years old. I walk 5 miles every single day, I never miss a day. It takes me about 1 hour 20 minutes to finish. I have been doing this for about 5 months straight. Before I started I was 165 pounds (5’9”) so I wasn’t overweight before I started. But I’m now 155, lost about 10 pounds. I feel amazing and I feel like I have more strength. One other thing that I noticed is that walking greatly improves my mood. Sometimes when I’m feeling down or just not feeling like walking, I push myself anyway. After my walk is over, I always feel better and my mood improves. I wish I would have started doing this back when I was young.
Same for me. I walk everyday, twice a day, regularly clocking up 5-6 miles. This is along with 20 minutes of yoga, three rounds of Wim Hof breathing and a cold shower as soon as I get up. I’ve been doing this for five months and haven’t missed a day. I will cut back a little on walking once lockdown is eased as I will swim for an hour five days a week too. Since October, I’ve lost 22lbs. I wasn’t overweight, but I’m now the same weight as I was 25 years ago when I was in my early 40s. I’m in the best shape of my life.
I walk to keep fit , i walk to enjoy the scenery , i walk to clear my mind , i walk to keep sane. So the benefits are great!. I used to belong to a hiking group , we walked in the country . Nature is also great for our mental health . Skip the treadmill and just WALK .
I can't like this enough!!! 🧘🏾 I have seen my neighbors walking since quarantine and you can literally see their transformations. Glad to have more "distant" company 😊
For two months I've walked an hour a day, six days a week. My blood sugar (combined with low carb) is way down, from 14 to 6.3. I feel stronger. I listen to audio books. The whole experience has been wonderful.
My roommate started walking every day and it has practically cured his depression. I have started walking and it has pretty much cured my diabetes. I am seeing the benefits more and more and agree with this video.
Steve Bowman that’s great, Steve👍👍👍makes me jealous you do that. Between busy schedule and Las Vegas heat it’s not easy here. But happy that you and some people are good at that
I'm a 75 yo male. I walk at least 4 miles every day, and often 10-15 on weekends. I have never felt better - I can jump out of bed and never feel even tired after 15 miles. I walked 30 miles in the Andes to Machu Piccu with the son and grandson a year ago. I totally agree with you! Right now I am doing artificial intelligence work for a nursing home chain doing the most complex work I have ever done, and successful. fyi I eat very low carb, and occasionally fast for 20 to 48 hours.
@@williamconeys3005 same here. I walk at 4:30am for 30 mins around my condo complex. To avoid others walking later as well as the scorching sun. Very peaceful.
what’s crazy is i have a lot of health issues and chronic fatigue after eating, i’m also a type 1 diabetic and no doctor has ever told me to try walking lol only throws pills at my face but the one thing that’s showed the most improvement in my health is walking and walking after meals!!! seriously i started with just 3 mins a day i was very sedentary because of my heart rate issues but now i enjoy it so much and aim for 30 mins
Thank you Dr. I totally agree with this. I am about 6’3” and was at 280… i am not super overweight but for sure have body fat I need to lose. I have high bp and asthma so my goal is to lose 50 lbs . I think walking outside is so good than just walking on a treadmill and getting your steps in. I love breathing the air and just getting involved with nature as I walk.. its more refreshing. I bought a pedometer to track my steps and I have been walking aprox 4000-5000 steps per day and want a goal of 10,000 steps as that’s 5 miles. I am also trying to eat healthier things and focusing on smaller food portions and meal prepping a litte bit. I just want to lose some weight and get toned again. In the 80’s I was around 200.. at 280 now , I realize its so dangerous to be at this weight. So thanks so much for your encouraging videos. I have lost about 8 pounds and drink water. I don’t do a lot of heavy lifting as I think this wouldn’t be good for me now. I am starting slow and building my way up.
I stepped on the scale 6 weeks ago for the first time in 3 years and 233lbs. My healthy weight is 175lbs. I started walking. Now up to 9 miles every single day! No dieting and now I weigh 218lbs. I hope to by under 200lbs by 10/31. Walk fast! I walk 4 miles per hour and burn more calories.
Dr. A it's hard for me to put in words about how much i appreciate you and your passion to help us men reach our fitness and nutrician goals to live our very best life...I want to reach my best health and wholeness fitness level ever and to stay healthy to enjoy life to the max,to stay independent throughout my life and to be fit and strong to help other's everytime i am blessed to do so...Thanks Dr.A because you will be a huge part of my Health Journey and Victory
Walking is a marvellous physical and mental vacation! Had a great walk today for several miles in a local scenic spot surrounded by all the joys of nature and wildlife - very life enhancing!
I started running 5km but could not do it consistently as it makes me tired a lot....but i started walking and i am able to do it consistently....i feel happy and it helps to keep my life in order.
I've been trying to convince my friends that they should keep walking despite not being able to go to malls or anything remotely fun. I'm sharing this my friends and hope that they'll understand that it's important to keep active especially just by walking!
I couldn't agree more! I've been doing what you recommend for a while now, doing about a 30 minute walk every day in the morning. Not only does my body feel better overall but I feel like my mental health has improved too. A very simple thing that everyone can do, highly recommend it!
Since September 2019 I stopped weight lifting and decided to hit 10,000+ steps daily. Lost 26 pounds since then via just walking and inconsistent healthy dieting. 26 pounds in 10 months may seem slow but I’m the lightest I’ve been in several years and 10,000+ steps have become part of my daily routine now and it’s so therapeutic and peaceful.
In the first study of its kind, researchers found that walking can lower the risk of high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. Regular walking can help us maintain a healthy weight, prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease and high blood pressure, strengthen our bones and muscles, improve our mood, and improve our balance and coordination. Thanks for sharing this important video one about walking.
48 years old. Runner, but felt running was a little anti social in lockdown so started walking instead (4.5 mph for about 90 mins). It’s brilliant, it’s the way to go. No aching bones, no injury, notice more around you etc. Great advice, ATB from Scotland 🏴👍
Turning 51 this year. Been in gyms every week since I was 18, up until this year when Corona virus shut all our gyms down. I do walk every day and find it really enjoyable. My desire to gym train has faded over the last 5 or 6 years TBH. Not as strong as I was years ago (obviously) and I just don't feel like pushing myself for max reps any more, so I don't. So, really happy to see this vlog.
I've never felt better physically and mentally after walking an hour every day, the rush of happiness after a 7km walk at a strong pace is undeniable. After that hit a resistance workout 3 days of that week and you are golden, the walk is a great warmup for strength training. The weight will fall off but you will have so much more energy too. We have evolved over millions of years to move, we are the greatest endurance animals on the planet, don't waste it. Great video.
Hi I am a new subscriber and I am 54 years old and I had weighed 272 lbs back in 2018 and I currently weigh 242 lbs. I really didn't take my health seriously until these past four months. I started to eat nutritious foods instead of Kraft dinner and started to eat fruits and vegetables more often during the day. I started slowly walking around my apartment building and then went a little further every so often. Now I can walk 3 long uphill sidewalks and only have to stop once. When I see the numbers on the scale at the doctor office going down I am so happy. I realized how good it is to walk and see those pounds melt away.
@Lola Simmons - That's great news you are seeing the results of your efforts. Well done! Keep up the good work and update us on your progress, as you go. 👍
I love walking. On April 5, I completed swimming, running, and walking the equivalent of the equator, 25,000 miles. Walking is my favorite way to move my body. Great video!
I am 73 yrs, teach tai chi/qi gung to seniors. Many have asked how to keep fit and flexible. I tell them to walk. It is the first and most natural exercise programme. Thank you for this channel!
Not only that, but it is easy to recover from a moderately paced walk, making it even better for anyone looking to lose weight! Thanks as always Dr. A.
I walk four kilometres every morning after I wake up, Monday to Sunday, 40 minutes each day. It is one of the simplest things you can do to significantly improve your life and well-being. But you don’t have to jump into a routine like that right away. Start small, even just a five-minute stroll in the evening after dinner. Build a good habit with tiny, incremental changes. It will change your life for the better.
I started walking 1 Mile per day for the last three days now my issue is Sciatica my left leg and I could not walk more than 50 yards and need to sit down for 5 mins then walk again so I join the YMCA my doctor told me to start walking as much as I can after watching your youtube channel it give me boost and info thank you
I do a LOT of walking every day, I started doing this last year when I got my LG phone, it keeps track of how much I walk so even on crappy rainy days I still manage 2 miles, even if I do it in the house! I feel like the cardio is important!
Found this video after I just finished eating. Got up off the couch and did a 5 minute walk in place. Legs got a lil tired but I feel better for having done it. Gonna increase my physical activity per day. No sense in letting the Covid-19 keep me from being active. 💪🏽💪🏽👊🏼👊🏼
Walking and running are undoubtedly the best cardio for the body. That's why I always try to walk at least 30-60 minutes every day. Great explanation from you again. Thanks!
90 min walk in the morning mainly uphill then 60 min walk in late afternoon/ one day off a week..just turned 60..all me health markers excellent..encourage everyone to do some walking..
I'm in my 60s. My temp job ended due to Corona Virus. When our lock down started we were allowed one of hour exercise per day outside so I started walking. I now try to do 10000 steps a day and have lost over 20 lbs and feel much better.
@@Fitfatherproject hi guys today is July 6th I'm down to 234. Start wait 325. I've been doing one meal a day at 4:00 p.m. and fast walking three miles a day. 91 lbs so far. Go Fathers!!!
Jim 71. I have been walking every day since I was laid off due to Covid-19 (almost 4 months). I am now up to 2 to 4 miles daily. I have only lost about 8 pounds, but my clothes fit looser and I feel so much better. I had severe lymphedma two and a half years ago. My lower legs were the size of my thighs. Thanks to medical care it is now controlled. My legs are look normal (except for the staining). Thanks for the video reminding us of how important this simple activity is.
Definitely true, I used to walk about 3 miles a day (roughly 45-1hr) and went from around 190-145 lbs I can’t say accurately how long it took but the results and evidence are there now that I’m back up to 185 lbs again, after marriage, alcohol abuse, having a kid I’m starting it again, this time with a 40lb weighted vest a month and a half ago, I was about 203 so it’s definitely working, just gotta stick to it, no alcohol and a healthy diet

Walking sounds so simple but it is so important to our health. So glad you made this video because it really opened my mind just how much walking can help me lose weight.
Thank you for this confirmation. At 61 I walk 3 hrs in nature. 5 or 6 days a week ..city of Atlanta beltline Piedmont Park, etc Take NO medications anymore!!! Water and healthy eating makes my skin, hair glow. I even see Me better. Walking is great for Mental health.
I started walking 20 months ago, could barely make 1.5 miles. now do 5 to 6 miles 5 days a week and recently added 30mins light weight training with 10 minutes cardio. 65 and feeling better than i have in 20 years and lost over 65 pounds
Recovery from massive body trauma shattered hip and pelvis 30 months ago did a 45 minute 5k on treadmill all because of walking everyday after injury when I could took about 4 months after surgery. This man speaks the truth. Walking has saved my life
Walking for life! Every day I wake at 4am, mediate for an hour or more, do yoga and Wim Hoff breathing until around 7am and take the wife a cup of tea to wake her. At 8am we will walk with our dog from the house a short walk, rain or shine, up the glen into the woods and forest and smell the earthy freshness, (so good for you), as we climb up a steep winding path up a hill to a large clearing and walk around the lake/reservoir, surrounded by the forest trees and usually we just sit a while on the grass by the lake side, or on a nearby bench if the ground is too wet and chat, or just take it all in and listen to the birds and trickling water coming into the lake from various places from the surrounding mountain on one side. Peaceful, serene and starts the day off right. Back down another twisty trail through the trees that leads down a stream and not too far to the sea and we walk along the beach. If it’s not blowing a hoolie I might swim; then back to the house about 5 minutes away. We’ve covered 7 miles at an easy pace by the time we get in the house. We feel great after that - truly great and it’s just nice to do and keeps my joints moving well, because I’m approaching 71 years young and my wife 50. It is so worth it and once into the “habit” it’s easier and not so hard at all. It just takes commitment and then just do it. “Make” this time, because life is for living and living is for now! Don’t waste time, as time has been known to fly by when we least expect it and we’re often too busy to notice until it’s too late. So this video might just be your calling 😉
Beautiful description of your morning walks with your wife. My imagination was truly ignited, and creative sensory raised as I found myself mentally transported and experiencing this magically serene place explored by you and your wife. You must be an author...
Someone asked where I live; I live in the Isle of Man, a little island right between Ireland, England and Wales. Cloaked in ancient Celtic myths and steeped in mysteries with Faeries as our neighbours and other worldly beings, but probably more famous for the TT motorcycle racing each year. An island that has a part of it lost in a time that has just stayed still, while another part soars with an offshore banking centre. You don’t have to go far though to reach a forest, endless rolling hills with its shimmering heather at certain times, surrounded by mountains nearby, while there are picturesque glens, often with cascading waterfalls that fall into hidden pools at its feet, hidden away amidst the forests and glens, not forgetting the ‘almost hidden’ ancient wells where folk still might secretly toss a coin in and make a wish, or kick a well worn ‘special’ nearby stone for luck. Although the recent virus visited us, it was thankfully brief and we shut our borders, so here in August we had been well over 100 days of being back to normal, with no masks or madness and life as before. Therefore, each day on our walks, perhaps on a different path to add another dimension to such a simple delight as a walk amidst Mother Nature’s sacred realms, we count ourselves so very lucky and truly appreciate those special moments that start our day off in such a wonderful way. We take our time to smell the earth, feel the breeze as we walk along, sometimes at a stroll to take in the beautiful surroundings and another at a stiffer gait up a hill and laugh at the friendly competition of who puffs first. We’ll always take a moment to sit in silence, or participate in idle banter and reflect in that moment; forget the past as it has gone, only taking its lessons along if required and live in this very moment. Yes, I am lucky to live in this place with its simple pleasures, which are so important nowadays in a world gone mad. I know everyone can’t take their walks in such a place, but with a little imagination, mixed with a peppering of positivity, everyone can get out, albeit for a brief time and enjoy a walk and soak in the “now-ness”. It’s good for heart and mind and be truly thankful to be alive. Because “later” can take care of itself when it comes. For those that can’t walk so far any more, like grandma or the old lady down the street, take your walk’s vivid story back to them and let them close their eyes and join you once again. I will continue to walk (and sometimes jog - while I still can :-) but even if it’s just down to the sea at the end of my little road I will always enjoy the moment(s) and keep going as long as I can, one step at a time.
YOU dah dah dah MAN! Brilliantly put. I am 74 with spinal stenosis there was a time my thoughts were not good and I started walking and then jogging now. I put my headphones on and go to my 24hr gym. Do some resistance training and core exercises(approved by my physical therapist) and jog and walk a mile a day on the treadmill while watching a movie or something on my mini iPad and time just flies. My hat is off to you very well spoken Thanks a ton!
I quit smoking two years ago, and started walking every day last year. I feel healthier than I ever thought possible and Lost 25lbs. More importantly I feel strong and vital. I’d recommend this to anyone. ❤️
Walking is the best medicine to improve your health. I am a diabetic that has started my walking routine for the past 3 months. i have to say it.has improved and lower my blood sugar levels , physical and mental mind. Currently, i am only on my lantus injection once a day and off my Metformin. My walk includes 1hr in the am and half hour afternoon/evening. With total miles 5.. Once you start you don't want to stop! :)
Always love to hear about benefits! Walked 30 min w my hubs first thing today...then met a friend to walk for another 40 min....about to walk off my lunch carbs. Thankful that God designed us to move-it sure feels good!
great video full of information about the importance of walking . i tried to walk 2 weeks ago and i think i feel that my health is better now. thanks for sharing
The public education system in Canada and the US has completely failled our children. They have been kept in the dark regarding nutrition and health. Parents also bear some responsibility in regards to this issue. Keep on sharing your knowledge . Thanks.
I agree. I ran like the wind when I was in the army. That was 5 years ago and I finally picked up walking with my wife. Once I lose some more weight I’ll try running again but probably won’t do it often
Great video. I’m always amazed at how some of the “simplest” things are so foundational and transformative. I think intentionally walking is all the more important in light of many people working remotely full time. I know it is for me.
because of shitty governmental advice. people who had problems when having covid-19 had huge inflammation because of different factors. low vitamin d is one factor for high inflammation. high deficit on vitamin d results in a 10-fold likelyhood to die from covid-19. the other side is glutathione deficiency. this is the master anti-oxidant in our body. it protects us against inflammation. people older than 60 years have half levels compared to young healthy people. diabetic too. if you are old, diabetic with low vitamin d, then your life is very likely over when getting covid -19. if we tell old people to hide in their basement from covid-19, their vitamin d gets worse and when they don't move, they get more insulin resistant and get more inflammation and glutathione levels go down. not a good advice. my approach is getting sun and or vit d+k2 supplement to fix a vit d deficiency. get a n-acetyl-cysteine and glycine supplement to boost glutathione levels. problem solved. people are responsible for their own health.
Thank You for the advice.. I have problems with anxiety, where I start to get sweaty palms, some light headed dizziness...But when I start taking deep breaths and walking.. I start to feel better.. Thank You Jesus 🙏
Running doesn't cause arthritis in the knees, and doesn't damage your knees as much as was thought; but you still have to know what your limits are, and run accordingly. That was news recently; and I guess good news for runners. I'm not a runner, I'd rather walk for miles, or even climb, than run.
I like the advice to think of it as daily baseline movement. I aim for 15,000 steps a day, I get off to a good start by walking 5km after I get up making up a little more than half of my daily goal. Walking is a definite mood and sleep enhancer!
Hi, Im in 40's i am one of your subscribers, I am following your instructional videos and since then keeps me realize that I feel healthier by doing all of them...one of it , is this walking thing..Thanks for all you videos it help people around the world.

My walks are at wal-mart, because around my neighborhood there are a lot of dogs, so I go to Walmart, grab a basket and walk around in the store, I am 81 years old and have diabetes, lately, I just take my am meds, but don't take the pill for diabetes,I just drink fluids, until I feel hungry enough My blood readings have been between 86&94, so I think I am okay I do drink plenty of water and at leadt a cup of coffee without sugars .

I am 56 and dealing with sciatica pain from herniated disc lying on my nerve. I use to ride and exercise bike and an eliptical plus walking but the pain has taken me for a loop. I refuse the major surgery that has been suggested. I am up to walking 2-5 miles a day It truly helps manage the pain ( as well as prayer)

Great video and true:) I am 74 now, I farmed for 45 years so I was always active. At the age of 68 I was in a very serious farm accident. I broke my neck and back and crushed the upper right side of my body. I wash shipped to a big city hospital. They put me back together real good. My wonderful wife had died 5 years prior to this. I met a lovely lady at a health conference a couple of years after my wife passed, we got along great and enjoyed each others companionship. My sister a retired nurse had told me to forget about my physical therapy after struggling with it for about a year and just to start walking. I have a state park about 10 min from my farm . I started walking about 4 miles a day. At about this time I was deeply in love with my new friend. The problem that popped up was religion:( I was a Jehovah's Witness and she was a main lie Christian,Friction began. We stopped seeing one another, but kept in touch. and I kept walking in the big woods. In the warm weather I walk barefoot. I was a bit suicidal for quite a while after all of this loss in such a short period of time. I had also made a couple of bad investments that cost me over a million dollars. Things were not looking good but I kept walking. Now eleven years after my wife's death my life is getting a lot better. God started talking to me on these long ( some times 10 miles) walks in nature. He explained to me how totally demonic my religion was. So I dumped it and started going with a friend to a christian church. WOW. Any way I am pretty sure if it was not for my walking by my self in nature I would not be alive today ! ! ! ......... P S ..........NEVER TALK ABOUT RELIGION WITH A JEHOVAH's WITNESS ! ! ! They are a demonic CULT for sure. Do not doubt me on this. I was one for over 30 years. By the way I have 7 adult children and a bunch of grand children, they are all basically shunning me except for my two youngest ones. They got out of the Cult with me the rest are all still in and doing as they are told :( :( :(
Glad u got out of JW's. My sister is LIFELONG JW, I left as a teen. She shuns me. Anytime we start to talk religion, it never ends well. They can't talk doctrine. So sad
I’ve been walking every morning (3 miles or so) for the last 3 weeks and it seems to be helping w fat loss. Can you clarify? I’ve heard that walking is better for belly fat loss because it doesn’t trigger cortisol like running or other high intensity cardio. And cortisol can lead to more belly fat storage in particular. Is that true?
yes. walking is low intensity. you can check with a heart rate monitor (polar h10 and a mobile phone). ver high intensity is also good because you get exhausted below one minute and stop before the cortisol level goes up. also getting high quality protein after exercise like raw eggs rocky style is great. when doing medium intensity for longer than 20 minutes your blood sugar level runs low and then cortisol creeps up. that leeches protein out of your whole body to make new blood sugar out of it. this is very unhealthy and stupid to do. it accelerates aging because it wastes expensive nutrients that the body needs for maintenance and repair and growth. this is what people do when they desperately want to lose weight and get the wrong advice like "eat less and exercise more"
@@stefanweilhartner4415 Thanks for the info on very high intensity benefits vs cortisol. I do that and lose weight easily, T-levels go high, prostate health improves ( I do tests). I will do that a bit more - 3 or 4 times per session.

I am a life long walker. Actually started power walking at the end of 1979. I am 76 years old now and now I walk 4 or 5 times a week 3 miles. Takes me about 50 minutes. Plus my route has 2 very steep hills. When I was younger I averaged a 12 minute mile well into my late forties. I am still going at 76 but i am slowing down a little. Usually the days I don't walk I am either cutting my lawn with a push mower or playing 18 holes of golf....walking of course. I figured out many years ago that walking steep hills really improved my fitness.
No where near it, should be aiming for 10 km a day, and schedule in some HIT 2-3 times a week, reduce processed food consumed, 1-2 litre's of water per day and you good to go. Plus I intermittent fast which I find very beneficial, but that's not everyone's cup of tea :)
Remember the 10,000 steps a day is just the baseline. That is the minimum, then you need to build on that with HIT several times a week and resistance exercises a few times a week. Combined with a healthy diet you will notice significant improvements in overall health. Cheers and good luck 😉

I walked long distances for YEARS. Always 20 - 30 minutes at least. Often for miles.
I also stretched regularly. Then one day near 61 years, my body quickly deteriorated.
My back knees and leg muscles just became pain and weakness. I am fighting to regain strength and flexibility. BUT...!!
Now I am near invalid with pain and weakness, though I do my best to exercise as best I can...

Do you walk 2 hours at the same time or split the walk into smaller times?
I'm 30 years old and feel like 74🤭
🫢
I walk to keep fit , i walk to enjoy the scenery , i walk to clear my mind , i walk to keep sane. So the benefits are great!. I used to belong to a hiking group , we walked in the country . Nature is also great for our mental health . Skip the treadmill and just WALK .
I agree. Ditch the treadmill when you can, and get outdoors. Muscles work differently.
It is good ideas
I can't like this enough!!! 🧘🏾
I have seen my neighbors walking since quarantine and you can literally see their transformations. Glad to have more "distant" company 😊
I agree, walking is so good for you… Not just physically but mentally!🙏🏻😉
For two months I've walked an hour a day, six days a week. My blood sugar (combined with low carb) is way down, from 14 to 6.3. I feel stronger. I listen to audio books. The whole experience has been wonderful.
Awesome my friend! Keep it up, one of the best things you can do for your health 🙏
My dog is a lifesaver, definitely gets me up and out everyday.

My roommate started walking every day and it has practically cured his depression. I have started walking and it has pretty much cured my diabetes. I am seeing the benefits more and more and agree with this video.
Wow! Thank u for the post! 😊 ❤️
Wow. That's awesome!!!
As a diabetic, did you have to make any dietary changes, or was it just the exercise you added?
I walk 10 miles most days, have never felt better and I'm 56.
@Big Smoke good cornish air helps
One long 10 miler or multiple smaller walks? What time of day?
Steve Bowman that’s great, Steve👍👍👍makes me jealous you do that. Between busy schedule and Las Vegas heat it’s not easy here. But happy that you and some people are good at that
You must have way more free time than I do. Good for you. I do need to get off my ass and start walking again.
@@cooporlando 2 walks normally, any time of day or eve.
Right now I am doing artificial intelligence work for a nursing home chain doing the most complex work I have ever done, and successful. fyi I eat very low carb, and occasionally fast for 20 to 48 hours.
absolutely true. I try to walk early to avoid traffic and comments.
@@williamconeys3005 same here. I walk at 4:30am for 30 mins around my condo complex. To avoid others walking later as well as the scorching sun. Very peaceful.
@@rosariofrancis464do you ever startle your neighbors heading to their car before work? 😆
what’s crazy is i have a lot of health issues and chronic fatigue after eating, i’m also a type 1 diabetic and no doctor has ever told me to try walking lol only throws pills at my face but the one thing that’s showed the most improvement in my health is walking and walking after meals!!! seriously i started with just 3 mins a day i was very sedentary because of my heart rate issues but now i enjoy it so much and aim for 30 mins
Awesome my friend! That makes me really happy to hear 🙏
That’s amazing, keep it up Melissa
I like walking. It's a great exercise.
wsymphony 👍👍👍💪💪💪
@Rodzilla Rox - Your plan sounds great, and seems to already be working! Keep up the great work, Brother. You've got this! 👍
Excellent 👍
Walking is one of the things that has kept me young, 52 yrs, great video!

Awesome my friend! Keep it up 🙏
I've been trying to convince my friends that they should keep walking despite not being able to go to malls or anything remotely fun.
Excellent 🙌 😊
Excellent encouragement ‘ I will take your advice seriously’ especially walking after dinner meals👍
Awesome my friend! One of the best things for your health. Keep it up! 😊
Excellent 😊for more information check out our nutrition/workout programme fitfatherproject.com/
Absolutely 🙌 Thank you very much brother 🙏
I'm 62 and walk around 8 miles a day. I've also walked across America three times.
Excellent, keep up the hard work 😊
And that’s incredible about the walking across America...

My wife and I are both 70 years old and we walk every day.
Yep...me too! We baby boomers are still young at heart! Keep up the good work!
Walking did away with my anxiety. Got rid of medicine and I do not know what menopause feels like. I am 52.

Fantastic, amazing accomplishment! 😃

Not only that, but it is easy to recover from a moderately paced walk, making it even better for anyone looking to lose weight! Thanks as always Dr. A.
You're very welcome JG 🙏

Fantastic, great to hear that you are doing well 😊
Definitely true, I used to walk about 3 miles a day (roughly 45-1hr) and went from around 190-145 lbs I can’t say accurately how long it took but the results and evidence are there now that I’m back up to 185 lbs again, after marriage, alcohol abuse, having a kid I’m starting it again, this time with a 40lb weighted vest a month and a half ago, I was about 203 so it’s definitely working, just gotta stick to it, no alcohol and a healthy diet

Awesome my friend! Ty 🙏
Amazing inside 😊keep the beautiful walks with your wife, surrounded by nature! Sounds great 😊
Amazing routine. Thank you for sharing all of this. You are an inspiration
P.S. my morning routine is very similar :)
Where do you live? It sounds like a nice area with lakes and mountains.

Currently, i am only on my lantus injection once a day and off my Metformin. My walk includes 1hr in the am and half hour afternoon/evening. With total miles 5..
Once you start you don't want to stop! :)

I agree. I ran like the wind when I was in the army. That was 5 years ago and I finally picked up walking with my wife. Once I lose some more weight I’ll try running again but probably won’t do it often
Common sense advice but sometimes we forget the simplest things. Thank you.
Absolutely my friend 🙏
Great video. I’m always amazed at how some of the “simplest” things are so foundational and transformative. I think intentionally walking is all the more important in light of many people working remotely full time. I know it is for me.

Awesome Paige! One of the best things you can do for your health 🙏
I haven't really walked regularly since Covid-19, but I think this video is the motivation I needed, Thanks
Excellent 😊
because of shitty governmental advice. people who had problems when having covid-19 had huge inflammation because of different factors. low vitamin d is one factor for high inflammation. high deficit on vitamin d results in a 10-fold likelyhood to die from covid-19. the other side is glutathione deficiency. this is the master anti-oxidant in our body. it protects us against inflammation. people older than 60 years have half levels compared to young healthy people. diabetic too. if you are old, diabetic with low vitamin d, then your life is very likely over when getting covid -19.
if we tell old people to hide in their basement from covid-19, their vitamin d gets worse and when they don't move, they get more insulin resistant and get more inflammation and glutathione levels go down.
not a good advice.
my approach is getting sun and or vit d+k2 supplement to fix a vit d deficiency.
get a n-acetyl-cysteine and glycine supplement to boost glutathione levels.
problem solved. people are responsible for their own health.
Thank You for the advice.. I have problems with anxiety, where I start to get sweaty palms, some light headed dizziness...But when I start taking deep breaths and walking.. I start to feel better.. Thank You Jesus 🙏
Awesome my friend! 🙏
Walking has a much lower injury risk then any kind of running routines.
So true 😊
Running doesn't cause arthritis in the knees, and doesn't damage your knees as much as was thought; but you still have to know what your limits are, and run accordingly. That was news recently; and I guess good news for runners. I'm not a runner, I'd rather walk for miles, or even climb, than run.
I agree ! Brisk walking much better and safer in my opinion!
I like the advice to think of it as daily baseline movement. I aim for 15,000 steps a day, I get off to a good start by walking 5km after I get up making up a little more than half of my daily goal. Walking is a definite mood and sleep enhancer!
Absolutely brother! One of the best things you can do for your health 🙌

They got out of the Cult with me the rest are all still in and doing as they are told :( :( :(
Very inspiring history!1 Thank you so much for sharing 😊
Glad u got out of JW's. My sister is LIFELONG JW, I left as a teen. She shuns me. Anytime we start to talk religion, it never ends well. They can't talk doctrine. So sad
I did my 35 minute walk and 5 minutes of battling ropes. Walking is very good for you! Thanks for your page
You're very welcome 👍🏼
I’ve been walking every morning (3 miles or so) for the last 3 weeks and it seems to be helping w fat loss. Can you clarify? I’ve heard that walking is better for belly fat loss because it doesn’t trigger cortisol like running or other high intensity cardio. And cortisol can lead to more belly fat storage in particular. Is that true?
Yep
Yes, according Dr. Sten Ekberg. Excellent advice. Also, moderate biking is low stress, low cortisol exercise.
yes. walking is low intensity. you can check with a heart rate monitor (polar h10 and a mobile phone). ver high intensity is also good because you get exhausted below one minute and stop before the cortisol level goes up. also getting high quality protein after exercise like raw eggs rocky style is great. when doing medium intensity for longer than 20 minutes your blood sugar level runs low and then cortisol creeps up. that leeches protein out of your whole body to make new blood sugar out of it. this is very unhealthy and stupid to do. it accelerates aging because it wastes expensive nutrients that the body needs for maintenance and repair and growth. this is what people do when they desperately want to lose weight and get the wrong advice like "eat less and exercise more"
@@stefanweilhartner4415 Thanks for the info on very high intensity benefits vs cortisol. I do that and lose weight easily, T-levels go high, prostate health improves ( I do tests). I will do that a bit more - 3 or 4 times per session.
Thank you for inspiring Me Im now walking 20,000 steps per day Absolutely Life Changing
Wow that is quite the amount of steps! Keep up the great work! 👊

Excellent 😊
I only walk 1 mile a day , hope that’s enough
No where near it, should be aiming for 10 km a day, and schedule in some HIT 2-3 times a week, reduce processed food consumed, 1-2 litre's of water per day and you good to go. Plus I intermittent fast which I find very beneficial, but that's not everyone's cup of tea :)
30 mins. About right.
try to make it a brisk walk
Better than nothing god bless
Remember the 10,000 steps a day is just the baseline. That is the minimum, then you need to build on that with HIT several times a week and resistance exercises a few times a week. Combined with a healthy diet you will notice significant improvements in overall health. Cheers and good luck 😉
