Sadly Jake "McNasty" McNiece passed away January 21st, 2013 he was 93 years old at his passing. This is someone I knew nothing about until I saw the Fat Electrician do his video, as a veteran myself hearing these stories about unsung heroes touches my heart deeply and does make me teary eyed as well. I am so glad you got to see this and I noticed your eyes getting shiny which tells me it effected you the same way. You should also check out the Willis "Ching" Lee video by TFE as well. He is another one of those anti heroes as it were.

When I was 12 my dad was in the US army and we where stationed in Germany in a building the. Had 5 floors and 4 stairwells. I actually started my own business at the time of offering to sweep and mop everyone's landings in the stairwell for 5 dollars a door. And I would also do the stairs as well going up to the Apts. I had 3 buildings and I would do them on Monday or Wed or Friday. For the most part I made 50 dollars a stairwell x 12 = 600 ( 3 buildings x 4 stairwells each. ) I was raking it in at the time and was making alot more money monthly than my dad was. He didn't make me but I gave him money since he was the only working adult in the house. Actually gave it to mom for food and such. The job wore my butt out. But what a damn good experience. Also 1 person in the building would get assigned cleaning the laundry room. So if they wanted I'd do that for an extra 5 bucks x 2 ( that was the number of times they wanted it cleaned. ) sorry to ramble on. This story brought that memory back. I had the best clothes, stereo and bike in Frankfort I swear. 😅😅

Batman is in fact an anti-hero he may not kill people, but he sure as hell will make them wish they were dead from beating their ass. And also he actually does kill people just not intentionally. When he shoots missles and machine gun fire at enemy vehicles to stop them a majority of the henchmen probably die.

Yeah it was actually his platoon in a manner of speaking. He had never actually officially been promoted from private. But as has been noted throughout this video he was invaluable to the mission. That's why he was put alone in his own platoon in basic training because they wanted to keep him but they didn't want him rubbing off on all the rest of the man. Then probably in some sense because he was first but also because he probably was the best every time they got a soldier like him they sent him over to Jake's Platoon. Jake was always recognized as the platoon Sergeant although I don't think he ever was officially a sergeant. Later on when he is talked into volunteering for the Pathfinders the commanding officer offers to pay Jake as a first sergeant the whole time he is in Pathfinder school if he will be the guy training them. Jake as the fat electrician notes tells the officer he doesn't care about the money he has liberated money from every safe He has come across in Europe.
So in that case I don't know for sure if the officer officially made him first sergeant or just had him receive first sergeant pay. However whether or not he was officially made for sergeant he filled that role in training these Pathfinders. So he was a first sergeant and yet he wasn't a first sergeant. He was always recognized as the platoon sergeants before becoming a pathfinder. And here again he is recognized as being the first sergeant. So yes he was officially in command of the soldiers. It's the strangest situation I've ever heard of. But as far as I know he wasn't even as a trainer of the Pathfinders actually officially promoted to irst sergeant.
Furthermore Jake is always recognized as being platoon Sergeant by his men. He is always recognized by whatever men he is with as being the guy in charge. I think this is evidenced by the situation on D-Day when he found himself putting together a platoon of as the fat electrician says around 35 men. These men are all disoriented and have all been dropped miles from where they were to have been dropped. Very few of them have found any of their friends. And these guys all get together and decide to follow Jake who again is actually a private. I think this shows that Jake's general demeanor and attitude and simply the way he carried himself was in fact in the manner of a leader.
After Jake argues with the colonel and then finally reliance and tells the Colonel he will do his mission we see again the evidence that he was naturally a leader. These 35 men that are with him decide to disobey a colonel's order and follow Jake to his objective and then follow Jake as if he were platoon sergeant. He was the kind of guy that the other guys would simply follow because of the way he carried himself and because frankly he was the main character. there weren't very many main characters in world war II but he was one. And so despite whatever rank he had on his shoulder he would be followed. And because leadership generally recognized him as the leader of the platoon that they organized for him.

And oh, we had events in NC, on Camp Lejune property, like mandatory fun days, etc, all the vets know what I’m talking about, at least our unit was cool until the last about 20 months I was in, after downsizing was happening. We had the NC state police show up, with their gay ass drunk goggles, and golf carts and cones, for walking and driving the golf carts. The first one I remember about 5 weeks into being at my unit, the MC state troopers told me and my buddies, and the old hands. That “they didn’t even want to know” why almost all of us could walk and drive the cones, without failing, with the worse drink googles that should simulate death via alcohol poisoning. My unit had the highest deployment rate, at least officially. And also the highest divorce and dui rate, but we were the most effective and safest over all and in combat. Can see a trend here, you can be really good at what you do, among the worlds best, and do it the most, and longest per year, while doing it the longest amount of times, every year, but gotta suffer somewhere. We were to this the day, the best and most accomplished overall, and we kept that alive, and pushed it forward, but it cost us, we are all misfits, rejects, drink, etc too much. Do things we shouldn’t, self destructive, ptsd, etc. to be clear. Not meant as poor me, I volunteered, I knew could and would be problems, I’m just saying it comes at a cost, and people need to be ready to for the cost in humans, money and things are effectively infinite with the right technology, people aren’t. Lost fiancées, meaningful relationships and some the things that meant the lost to me, outside of the USMC, me and many, many others have all that up, and sadly some gave up everything for that belief. That all tied into those poor staters who were like we don’t want to know, well, were the best, in everything, lol. And better than you, in every way, if we weren’t better, you’d be us and we’d be you. The very few and dumb who got mad, and mouthed off to us, we’d tell them careful boy, yuh have no jurisdiction here, go ahead and start a fight, we’ll throw you in the brig, and the state will be lucky to get you back, and nothing will happen, so go ahead throw a punch son, see what happenings, we’ll stomp you into the ground, and no one will help you here a whole different set of laws on military bases, especially if you assault military personnel on their base…we can legally kill you, and that is in fact an act of war. By law. Even more so if you are wearing a uniform and serving a government, it’s the sword of Damocles, of I messed up, badly enough, they could imprison me for years, decades, life or execute me, guess what as a civilian on a military base, if you do wrong to the extreme, the same can happen to you

And don’t worry. I don’t have giant bottles of whiskey, not often, they suspiciously become empty, and therefore expensive to keep repeating that, along with being 37 now, kinda starts to take a toll on me, yes I realize medically I can be called an alcoholic, normal can lost who find and like the TFE and the reactors, let alone a USMC vet, as former active duty USMC, I can say we are the largest and most hardcore group of functional alcoholics to ever exist. We’d show up for PT at 0430 to 0500 depending on unit and what was going on, school house or training etc, not even hung over, still flat out shit housed. As we only quit drinking from minutes ago, to a couple or 4 hours ago, after being on duty/work, doing shit at times for 18 hours straight, we blew off steam and problems by drinking, and fighting, is that the healthiest method, definitely not, is it effective for what the USmC and the US needs from it Marines. Absolutely. Especially when they send us to fight, and no booze to be had, now we gotta buy/trade for, steal, or make it, on top of everything else, really makes us unhappy, even more so.

And hell yeah. Been working since I was 11, farming and cattle. And doing shit I won’t mention or else kinds of woke lame asses will investigations to happen. But I’ve done among the consistently most dangerous jobs, top25-50 until I joined the USMC at 17 and made it into the top ten, for sure. Jake shoulda been a US Marine, no doubt. He woulda fot right in, hands down, in effectiveness and lifestyle/habits. I was along the best in the USMC, st my time in, also known for drinking, partying, etc, and don’t fuck with me, I’ll talk shit to LT Col, and did if they pissed me off, I never lost rank and I made plenty of enemies only my skill kept me going and slowly moving up,
