he's just the only one on here who genuinely delivers what car guys want. it's like this guy was a journalist first and automotive was the only job he could get. harris is absolutely mental about cars, and his passion shines through when he talks about them. his reviews are more entertaining, and better produced.
Does anybody else see a bit of resemblance to the new Viper in the front-end? I always thought the 2013 Viper had a bit of Ferrari DNA in it, and seeing the F12 on the roads really drives that home. Obviously though, the cars are not particularly comparable in actual specs. The Ferrari does have a fair chunk of extra power and lots more technology, and must cost at least three times as much.
The guy did a fine job describing the car. Better than about 90 percent of the crap reviews on RUclips. The audio wasn't great, but if you turn up volume, you can hear every word, again, better than most youtube car reviews.. Awesome car though.
I'm sure he was in a Ferrari at Goodwood this year in a Ferrari and he's reviewed the Ferrari FF since then too. He says in that article that they try and intervene when it comes to customers cars too. You need to take his blog with a pinch of salt. Everyone seems to be missing the point.
He wrote an article saying Ferrari sets the cars up before reviews to make them seem better than they actually are. Ferrari saw these claims and Harris is now banned from reviewing any ferrari
There are some striking exterior design similarities between the new F12 and the upcoming SRT Viper. Maybe if I saw them side by side the differences wouldn't be as striking, but from memory they are quite similar in style. Let the flaming responses begin...
Well...I mean if you have a good product and you know its good, why not let it flow on its own instead of policing it. But what Chris was on about for Ferrari is that they put sticker than normal tires on their test cars(allegedly) and that they have a car for straight line acceleration and a different car for track purposes and a group of engineers always beside the car whenever a comparison was done with other brands. Leading to believe that Ferrari turn the wick to 12 on their test cars.
You know what? I don't mind this guy. He seems like a young and slightly shy Chris Harris. If he dropped the shyness and let himself be a bit crazy, he would actually be very good I think. He did a good job of keeping my attention though, and must be commended for that at least.
It's a real pity knowing that Ferrari's engineers have set the car up specifically for this test drive, so we only get the review of that individual car and not the F12 in general. If you don't know what I am refering to then google Chris Harris' article on Ferrari test drives.
He wrote a disparaging article regarding Ferrari and how they tweak their press cars for the track or road that the test is taking place for optimum performance, among other things lol!
THE MOTHER OF ALL QUESTIONS: you play Need for Speed Rivals, you are a lucky winner of a contest and they say you can have any car in the game for real however you want it painted, they say tell me the name of the car you choose 10 seconds to answer WHAT DO YOU DO...WHAT DO YOU DO. For me it would come down to 3: Ferrari F12; Lamborgini Aventador; Ford GT. uhhhhhhh i hate going against USA for the car but dammn those are tough to beat. Ferrari or Lambo, Ferrarri blows the lambo off the road btw also
He made a strong truthful article about how Ferrari operates with their "tests" when journalists test them out. This was about 2 years ago I think. They got mad so.. no more ferrari for you. Read around its quite interesting.
I haven't read his Twitter before but I've had a quick look at it appears he does have a 599. Can't find anything about it him being banned though. That's the thing everyone is missing; he can write all that and still spend silly money on a GTB yet everyone else uses that article as a battering ram for Ferrari making bad cars.
Are you implying that you can buy the Porsche? Or the Ferrari? It's definitely not just me, people have been comparing the F12 with the FRS/GT86/BRZ. I can't think of a worse insult than that since they cost less than a 10th of the price.

The over-steer on this machine is unlike ive seen on even the best of the cars like Benz,BMW or Bentley. You can go absolutely wild in this thing.
I think this was a great review & audio was fine for me shoulda just waited for HD
I reckon that the V12 in the FF and the F12 is one of best engines that Ferrari have ever made and the one of the best sounding.
That exhaust note is intoxicating.
Definitely it has one of the most beautiful engine sounds ever!
Pros: great footage of the car, I would even say the best so far
Cons: Matt Saunders
Very nice review!
The gear changes sound so brutal.
Nice driving Matt!
i have never been bored like this in all autocar video i seen in past

can't beleive its been 2 YEARS since the 458 was released, JESUS, it felt like yesterday!
Strange we've heard so much about the FF lately yet this is the first time i've heard about this car.
The guy did a fine job describing the car. Better than about 90 percent of the crap reviews on RUclips. The audio wasn't great, but if you turn up volume, you can hear every word, again, better than most youtube car reviews.. Awesome car though.
Can't wait for Jeremy to review this car!
Chris Harris doesn't work for Autocar and he's not banned from driving anything for Ferrari. He's driven a couple of them since writing that blog.
Thanks for the info.
i just cant understand how i didnt like f12's design on release, i just love it now
Can the car not stay between the lines at any point?
How about a sound check next time?

I think the haters hate this guy because he gets to drive the F12 and they didn't. I know I'm jealous.
where did you get this guy???
There are some striking exterior design similarities between the new F12 and the upcoming SRT Viper. Maybe if I saw them side by side the differences wouldn't be as striking, but from memory they are quite similar in style. Let the flaming responses begin...
He says "rev and rev, and never run out of breath".
Im here just for watching the car in action and the music from the engine
THATS ALL
How it compares to the aventador?

i hope they do a race with this on top gear, like in the old days
does it have a dvd or cd player
Whaaat? That is unfair. They can't isolate the best auto journalist from the world of Ferraris!
He dont really look like a good commenter, but this review feels quite professional.
What did he do?
Yes i know but there's a video already? Because the Ferrari tested on snow was the FF
Aluminum space frame from Skoda Yeti? How come?
A great car like this deserves a better reviewer and better audio. Should of had Steve Sutcliffe to review it.
lets just be glad when he is driving the car we can barley hear him because of that glorious v-12
Are you kidding?! This is probably the prettiest Ferrari for the past 30 odd years, and thats from someone who isnt Ferrari's biggest fan.
I'm sure Ferrrari triple checked the paper work before handing over the keys to this guy
If someone said I could either have the 458 or the F12 Berlinetta... no regrets. Give me the Berlinetta.
I have heard this as well. Do you know why?
Name of the colour?
The rear end looks nice
I can`t wait to see Top Gear testing it. Who do you think will do it?
Why was he banned?
Which car did he drive after getting banned?
You know what? I don't mind this guy.
He seems like a young and slightly shy Chris Harris. If he dropped the shyness and let himself be a bit crazy, he would actually be very good I think.

prius V ad for this video oh the irony!

because he wrote an op ed that showed how Ferrari rigs their press cars in jalopnik (search for "how ferrari spins")
Evo/Drive, I've lost track of all these different channels now.
He wrote a disparaging article regarding Ferrari and how they tweak their press cars for the track or road that the test is taking place for optimum performance, among other things lol!
How does this guy review this car?

Please let Steve do all the fast cars, he's cool.
Where the hell is Steve Sutcliffe?? Such an important car and you gave the job to the intern?? what the hell?
where was Sutters for this review?
Tomorrow, I hope... and with James at the wheel. That would be nice...
I dunno what everyone's complaining about? I thought Matt did a good job.
Ferrari won't let him drive it at the moment. That's what he said on Twitter.
this guy is just as good imo.
He made a strong truthful article about how Ferrari operates with their "tests" when journalists test them out. This was about 2 years ago I think. They got mad so.. no more ferrari for you. Read around its quite interesting.
It's a grand tourer, for the lond trips. More comfortable for the long distances than 458.
Clarkson, May and Hammond should be invited by autocar some day...
He can still drive 'em as long as he gets a loaner.
Yeah, side by side, not as similar as I thought. Still though there are some similar design cues.
That car is beautiful!
I haven't read his Twitter before but I've had a quick look at it appears he does have a 599. Can't find anything about it him being banned though. Probably because each time he's inside a Ferrari, he start talking about Porsche..LMAO
Where is Steve ?
what the hell? were is steve or chris !?!??
Car bores can be a demanding bunch it seems.
I want to see a Clarkson review. I know his reviews aren't "proper" but he sure makes you want it.
Why on earth didn't Autocar get Steve Sutcliffe to do this review?!
ok this guy has a thing for italian car i've got it, first the Aventador and now the F12 but for these masterpieces we need Harris!!
Where's Sutcliffe for this?
This car is a bespoke machine and no way has any relation to any VW Audi Group car like the Golf based Skoda Yeti.
Just like most Ferrari it sounds nice
I can't wait until Jeremy Clarkson reviews this car.
why?
Can't afford either.... BUT, I'd take the 458!
Where's Sutcliffe?
I can't think about this nerd driving this masterpiece!
yes, you're right, but listen what the presenter says at 1:45.
He blamed Ferrari to have "special press cars" with much more hp than standard.
This guy looks like he would be more into comparing bus ticket prices instead reviewing iconic super cars. Bad job Autocar.
"today, i am driving to mcdonalds!"
Agree!
nicely compiled phrases by Ferrari's PR office.
The 'g' is silent in scaglietti
id have to say this is my favorite ferrari, but im still a lamborghini guy..
wheres chris harris?
all ferrari interior look so similar with each other, i mean just look at the fighter plane-like Aventador interior!
they shold've had sutcliffe do this one
Aston One-77´s V12 produces 10 more hp, so it is the strongest NA engine.
Get the boy a microphone!
Because of the ferrari spins story.
