- I noticed an interesting Hollow Knight Randomizer setting that I had never tried before, the No Logic setting. This means that items are truly random and are not guaranteed to even be possible to collect. So lets hope the RNG works out and see how it goes.

i love how the rando had a chance to literally be unbeatable, yet it became EASIER.
I think theres a specific setting to make progression logic more convoluted in the cursed options that skurry has on normally but disabled in no logic, but its still crazy good lol

@@mothgirl326 No Logic overrides all progression logic as all locations are set by default as obtainable and no item grants any progression at all.
@leandrorositto8238 yeah that's my point; the reason this rando was so much quicker was because the setting that made it longer had been disabled - my original comment wasn't too clear tbh so I changed it ^w^

the 5P skin is actually one of the best hk skins I've seen
there are some really cool additions that werent shown in the video, like the abyss shriek is really cool and even some of the cutscenes (e.g. stag) are changed

you should play rain world, it’s great for fans of:
- survival
- exploration
- light 2d platforming
- lots of movement techs if you’re willing to learn them
- lizards
- skewering lizards with spears
- deep lore hidden throughout the game (very difficult to get it all, i’ve only bothered to get a little, but it’s good lore)
- pretty pixel art
- *suffering*
- cute slugcat
@@codeninja3295i bought rain world for my boyfriend and i watched him play and we were both completely and utterly baffled at how non-directed and confusing it was, for some reason the game just didn’t click in our brains, nothing made any sense and we didn’t understand what we were supposed to do or what the overall objective was at all, he played for just under two hours before he gave up and refunded it 😭 we both love survival and exploration games, he’s 100%ed many games like hollow knight, i’m always so confused to see people here talking so great about it i really wish i could’ve had a positive experience with it, the art style looks so cool and the game looked so promising T_T

@@nirisu6954 yeah, i think rain world’s biggest flaw is its lack of direction for new players; i imagine i would have similar problems as you with it if i didn’t have a couple friends helping me when necessary. it can be a confusing game!
that being said, if you ever want to consider giving it another try, i’ve provided some tips. don’t feel pressured to play rain world again, though; it’s alright if that ship has sailed. still, here are my tips:
- rain world’s ecosystem is pretty unique, i don’t know of any other game like it. it doesn’t just have “good creatures” that help you and “bad creatures” that hurt you. instead, all creatures interact with each other, and you’re only one part of a complex food web. understanding this is essential. it’s possible to make allies out of enemies or vice versa, and there are a lot of mechanics you can leverage.
- creatures don’t just have fixed or randomized positions when you enter a room. every creature in a region is constantly moving around and doing things, whether or not you can see them.
- rain world has a _lot_ of features and mechanics, and it really wants you to figure out most things for yourself. this can be very rewarding, but it also leads to a lot of trial and error and a lot of deaths. don’t be afraid to look things up if you get stuck. for example, the little yellow thing that keeps following you is supposed to guide you to where you’re supposed to go, but it’s really not very good at it, and it’s all too easy to get lost. don’t be afraid to ask someone or look up which regions you’re supposed to go to in what order; i can even tell you, if you ask.
As someone who's never played Hollow Knight but has seen enough of Rain World to understand it, I have no idea what they're talking about.
It's hard not to imagine Five Pebbles complaining about not being left alone every time he finds a grub.

Edit: now that skurry and chat pointed this out, I cannot stop seeing so many rain world references in hollow knight and the opposite, it's like a Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon
The Five Pebbles skin is so well made, it changes almost everything
The only thing that could make this skin better is if it flashed through the karma symbols in the soul meter the more soul you got. I also think a Sliver of Straw skin would work well, you could use Saint's ascension effect as well as her Challenge 70 attacks for the spells in addition to what Pebbles' skin has

considering that iterators canonically have to simulate an indescribable amount of things in order to find the solution to the great problem, it is more than possible that simulating this was one of the things that pebbles tried

This Pebbles skin is exceptionally well made, I love the use of symbols and his focus animation is wonderful
the fact that they were 90% finished with the rando in the first hour remains so funny. no logic wins forever

I expected it to be just insane, like the Rubicon area from Rain World: random rooms, random items, random enemies, random backgrounds. Would be interesting to see that!
I know the RUclips format incentivizes doing something new with each video to keep things fresh, and I do love all the interesting variations on randomizers, but honestly, the nature of randomizers by default means I’d be more than happy to watch a ton of them with identical “boring” settings. Your personality, commentary, and skills at the game are what actually keep me, specifically, coming back to watch these videos.
I know I’m just one comment in a sea of hundreds, but I just wanted to say not to feel pressured to constantly change things up on my behalf. Not sure how many people agree with me.

Skurry should do a randomizer where the only things randomized are things that aren't normally item checks, so levers, dialogue, breakable walls, grass, room transitions, eggs, and hunter's journal. Leave the charms, spells, nail arts, and upgrades vanilla.

Inspired by this stream I also tried a no logic run but also with no dups plus split movement. The excitement of having to check absolutely everything while still thinking it might be imposible was great and it took all my skipping skills and the tips I 've gotten from you and other speedrunners. Ended up getting TE with no claw (almost everything else) which made up for a weird but very fun run. Thank you for that :) !

the no logic randos i usually watch are ocarina of time - which take 8+ hours and require extensive glitch knowledge to beat more often than not. this is absolutely not how i expected a no logic to go
