7:02 I do the early +1 stab for ticking prosperity every game thanks to learning from your strategies over the years; keep mentioning them Ludi, they don't get old and there are always new players coming to your videos to learn, and returning players relearning, in order to keep improving! Thank you for all the great videos over the years! :D
About what you talked in around 7:00 it would be nice if you made a new video for newcomers about basic strategies and good eu4 practices. I'm about to start playing it (currently playing EU3 because my PC can't handle 4 for now), and I only know barely what to do, only for watching eu4 videos like yours, but yet not sure what or why do such things.
Soo true he's literally on god mode compared to my playstyle. He'd probably prefer watching paint dry on a wall for 2 hour then to watch me play for 2 minutes. 😂
Well done. Loved the „I‘m going to chill for several years… just taking some of the Irish maybe“ and then going for Naples (80AE!), Aragon and so on and so on. 😅
It's puzzling to see France with that much dev in 1444 when we know how destructive was the 100 years war. Also the grand compagnies who are just mercenary in EU4 were groups of plunderers who were looting, raping, burning when they were not engaged in an army the most famous of which were the "écorcheurs". There was also constant civil wars between the Armagnac and the Bourguignon (yes the burgudian duke and its supporter), the "Praguerie" and so on. the France was an absolute horrible place to live at the time. Even after, France was still in the of a potential civil war, return of the English and the threatening duke of Burgundy which sowed trouble in France with the "ligue du bien public", this is why burgundy has a mission named "league of the public weal" who gives 50% liberty disire to subjects
@@crazyand2099 Burgundy switched side but its aim of independence didn't change. Charles le téméraire had a lot of ambition and it took time to Louis XI to break Burgundy by diplomacy. Situation improved step by step by it wasn't a light which you turn on or off, it was a process
As France, there should be a mechanic to land an appanage a la the Byzantines, the ability to appoint a new heir from your subjects is super useful and also fun for the LARP
The subjecation CB isn’t needed because Provence Can get cores on the entirety of Naples that can be used to your advantage. It takes longer to integrate provence but its less Ae and allows you to go through the Pope missions if you want.
I don't recommend doing it for the simple reason that you need to end the mission centralize France, to get rid of an annoying reform + you can become an empire. Well if you get the empire rank throught the HRE it don't matter tho.
Ive enjoyed your content for awhile now, just recently got into eu4, so your videos and you reiterating things repeatedly each video is helping out tremendously

He's done 3 series and only 1 has been in a place not touched by King of Kings, shut up, he also has another series on the way on Ardabil which is in King of Kings, so really shut up.
I feel you. I mean, obviously he can play what he wants, but this is like the 50th France video. We know they're super powerful, and they have been for years now.
I am pretty sure the current Ruler needs to seize Crownland to integrate a Vassal as France, it doesnt matter how often. If you get a new Ruler on the Throne you need ro seize Crownlands again to integrate the next Vassals
Persia in King of Kings had become insane too, take a look, in particulary if you begin with Qara Qoyunlu complete the insane focus tree and after become persian focus tree. Oh dear it's dirty snowball.
Nicely Done. Would love to see how fast you can form Germany - not just get the cores. The Teutonic Order's diplomatic path lets you form Germany early. My best is 1528. It's a fun campaign that folks might enjoy watching - lots of wars and such. Again, thanks for all you do for the community.
Love your content Ludi, but gotta say sometimes its worth a shot looking at your subjects mission not just your own... if you vassalize provence (id suggest you do) you should rly at least do their first mission which gives them cores on all of naples and you wont have to waste your AE on subjugating them, while you only have to get provence to either have 100 development or own corsica. Most people tend to ignore their subjects missions as they mostly arent worth it, but in some cases they can be huge help: say oman for those in the area to get to them gold mines in kilwa/mutapa faster via their claims; tidore/ternate to get vassal with colonist who can and will colonize for you even before he unlocks first idea group, if you can jump start his cash problems; granada creates a center of trade in ceuta which you can then move to trade company to steal ibearian trade more efficiently or say morroco via their permanent claims all over westernt africa that can let you get there much faster then even portugal can). Its ussually at least worth it to take a look at those missions if theres anything non generic as getting a bunch of permaclaims can also be huge boost and in some cases it takes almost no effort to get the benefits.
Ok there is something interesting points there. I like the way you explain your logic. That was useful, especially for the Soviets it makes complete sense
Thanks Ludi. But as a French I'd appreciate : 1- Set a Bourbon on the throne before annexing Bourbonnais pls just for historical flavour. 2- Bonaparte is written like this not Bonapart. I hope you'll like its movie 23rd of November !!!! Cheers from Franc3 buddy !
A few days ago, did a French run and chose the dismantle the HRE path, literally like 6 months after I clicked that mission, I accidentally was elected emperor because Austria didn’t have a throne heir
47:11 - Ludi: "Make sure you DIRECTLY take that and you can give the rest of the provinces to your vassel!" * Explains a mistake * 47:25 - Screen shows Ludi did not take the province directly 🥲
I am aware that doing so makes a difference in war score etc. and that doing this clearly makes sense, but you gotta admit that Ludi did not really say that 😁
Don't know if you're joking or not but what he meant by directly is just as he did instead of the other ones which he took over via the return core province peace deal interraction
May I ask a newbie question? At 5:09, 26 ducats vanish. Where did they go? (and of course thanks for the video). As a newbie, I also appreciate the repetition of the obvious (since you asked). Last but not least, no matter how many times I try, I am invaded by other Austria, Flanders, Burgundy, Portugal and England with too many armies and the best I have achieved is not invading Portugal as a result.
I while back I discovery a neat trick to get to mainland England while dealing with there navy if you don’t want to deal with Scotland. It’s simple as doing the trick of attacking there fleet and then retreating and returning to port when you have a chance to heal up while the English fleet remains damage. You do this over and over until either you finally destroy most of the navy from the gradual damage or eventually the English will go back to England usually London to repair themselves, but of course while they do that they’re exposed, if you already have your army’s set up beforehand you should have enough time to transport the troops to mainland England, occupy at least one province allowing you to quickly transport the whole army to England itself before they can repair the navy in time.
Normandy ducal ring event is a quote from lord of the rings ? While that last guy "what are we waiting for?" is a Gimli ? xD it is some kind of reference or am i crazy ? :D
What you might want to do before attacking Milan is waiting for the shadow kingdom as when you attack a member of the hre and the emperor comes to there defense they get a positive relation (I believe voting bonus I might be wrong on that one) to becoming the hre emperor
Can you make lore friendly Revolutionary France run? I still have no idea how Revolutions work and how to deal with them so I guess it could be very helpful.
If I am not mistaken you can have Scotland as an ally and if you get the Burgundian inheritance and then click on the mission for that you inherit Scotland as well. I am not sure though it might've been a bug. When I was playing with my friend I played France and in 25 years I got the Burgundian inheritance so I got all the lowlands, I had control over all of England and for some reason when I did the mission after getting the Burgundian inheritance I integrated Scotland who was not a subject. I am still confused on if that was scripted or a bug
is it possible it's inheriting all pu's or is it just Scotland and burgundy. if the later, cool, but if it's the former, well it may be a little broken. like if i had a pu on burgundy, Scotland, castile, and Poland, would i inherit everyone?
Ludi i have a challenge for you. Using doge's shattered europe mod with vanilla start date, play as the Palatinate of the Rhine and enable mythical conquerors. Your goal is to form the Rhenish nation
Hi Ludi hello from france just want to mention the fact that down in my street there is an romanian homeless and this guy's very kind and i want to do a nice thing to make his day but i dont what because i'm very low money, do you have idea? Like i can make some food for him for exemple 😊
I gotta ask Ludi. Increased levies exempts the nobility from seize land, does that ever impact your ability to seize land? Or do you ever have any issues revoking it later in the game?
Hope you'll keep doing this one rather than turning it into a live like you did in Byz series. Some of us don't like warching multi hours lives at all...

I'm not really big on Discord but I do have it and am in your server. How do I get acces to the save game to play around with?
Fun fact: If your Jean Bureau died like mine did in the game, you can make a general named "Jean Bureau" and it'll still count towards the mission.
This is very useful to know thank you so much!
Lol it happened to me yesterday and I was stuck for a while on that mission. Great tip!
Hahaha no fuckin way
If it works i love you
I’m gonna have to try that. Hate when he dies on the second day
I have come to the realization that the Most Powerful Nation in EU4 is whatever Ludi is playing at the moment.

He’s pretty decent. If you want watch real masterclass watch florryworry or zlewich. Those guys regularly do very well on MP and play SP on very hard.
Thank you for playing my favorite nation in EUIV!
We all love Lubi ❤

Yes, the Big Blue blob is stronger than the Big Green Blob.
Yes, Instead of an union of a small nation, it is better to annex them and find a better union.

John Office is the man ! The greatest general I had, he won 50 battles before dying in Athens in 1486, apparently of a heart attack..
